Find #8,903 for me, on 21 Oct 2024 3:57pm. The weather was Scattered Clouds 26C 47% 3 m/s . Out on a pleasant bike ride with PamJ celebrating the first warm day for a while. We road along here from Warrigal Road to Blackburn Road, but this was the only one I didn't already have along this track. The cache was in good condition but the log is nearly full. Didn't have a spare unfortunately. Thanks ahomburg for your contribution to the game. *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*

I was out in search of multis today - I'm at around 340 but need 500 for *someone's* challenge . . . No probs here. Numbers calculated and a short walk along the picturesque bike path to GZ.

I was driving nearby and decided to stop and go for a wander. The calculations were easily done and the cache was found quickly in the described positionThanks ahomburg for taking me on this lovely little walk.Chiefton!!!

Chook and her son LazyAde spent a couple of hours caching this afternoon before Chook had to catch the train back to Beaufort. We parked the car in a nearby street and really enjoyed our stroll along the trail, somewhere neither of us had been before. Interesting 'artwork' on the drain. TFTC ahomburg.

Working nearby today, I took the opportunity for a pleasant walk from WP1 to GZ. Easy find.

29-Mar-24
I was after a Multi today for a challenge that I am working but had very little time for caching. In the end I stopped off on my way back from Healesville to Balaclava to look for this cache. A nice simple Multi for when you are a bit tired... just had to be a patient with the parade of passing muggles... Thanks **ahomburg** for this cache.

During our weeks trip with Bare Foot Guru, Infoferret and Trinity to the Canberra Mega we logged as a combination of "BFG, CF, BIC, BITC" depending on who we were caching with at the time. The trip took us on a flight to Melbourne first, then a drive to Canberra, followed by a drive to Sydney before flying out again. Where possible I will add commentary to each find about the cache. Thanks for all the caches, hides and effort put into hiding and maintaining them. Easy find hanging on post low down.

An expedition with Crystal fairy & Barefootguru. Most logs signed as BIC to save space and time. 26 March 2024 15:14 Number 13806 TFTC ahomburg !A quick calculation and a much appreciated easy find I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.

Found at 11:24I walked down and collected the required info at wp1 and made my way to gz. I spotted the container quickly and soon had it signed and replaced. Thanks ahomburg for the cache and the nice walk. You'd hardly know the freeway was so close.

Quick dash after dropping young man to his social group. This is the sort of arithmetic that I can handle, and the cache was quickly found with perfect coordinates. TFTC and adventure.

Out and About today to pick up some caches on this beautiful sunny sunday! With the main goal in mind being me grabbing a nearby Earthcache and some other odds and ends before it gets a little too hot for my liking. With no real major issues in the end a handful were finished and I slowly made my way back home for a nice cold glass of water. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.

What a lovely walk alongside the creek. On a challenge to find 1000 multis, of which Im only just over halfway, this was a delightful one. Easy to solve with TanSaf and a pleasant stroll to the cache.Later met with RonaldoMessi2015, a group of new cachers, and were able to explain to them how to solve a multicache.A favourite point from me for a user friendly, one stage multi, with accurate coordinates.

29-Dec-23
In the area with Cybergran V this morning seeking a nearby puzzle cache. We realised we had parked very near the starting point of this multi. Information quickly collected, some calculations made and final coords in hand. A pleasant stroll to the cache. Love a quick multi like this without multiple steps. We met some very newbie cachers and were able to introduce them to multis. TFTC

We are so grateful that we bumped into expert cachers who taught us how to solve and enter coordinates. Blew our minds our intricate the hunt can be. This could get quite addictive. This was a great one to end the morning!

Currently trying to finish the year with a streak and so heading out daily, for a cache. Plus there are a few other caches I need for challenges. Today I went for a lunch walk and this was the perfect cache for it. All sums worked out well and cache in great condition. Thanks to ahomburg for the fun and the adventure.

*Found on the 19 Oct 2023 @ 5:33pm.**Cache find # 15171.*I was needing to find a multi cache today to finally finish off my Calendar of multicache finds, so after work, I headed for this one.A fairly straight forward multi and I soon had the GZ coordinates once I was at the posted, I headed oof along the trail and when the coast was clear of the many muggles along this path, I was able to make the find. **Thanks to ahomburg for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**

Out on my own today, sunny but very cold. Just dropped of a friend to the local hospital for a day procedure and had to fill in some time. Just came from one of the others of ahomburg. Discovered a track I liked but it was the wrong way to tackle this one. Crossed the creek, its looking very healthy. Got to GZ and it seems I could have driven a lot closer. Got the numbers and retraced my steps. Nice easy find, cache in good condition. Now where is my car?? Thnaks for the cache ahomburg.

30-Apr-23
Found on a quiet Sunday morning. A few bikes along the bike path and one electric scooter with father and daughter on board, but otherwise no activity. The required numbers were quickly found and ABC and DEF calculated, followed by a short walk. Coords were very accurate and stopped me opposite the cache. Log retrieved and signed and all placed back together. Still plenty of room for others to sign and perfectly dry. TFTC ahomburg and a few of the others from yourself that I have had fun in finding.

I spotted this one along my walking route today and since it didn’t look like it would take too long I decided to find it as well.

The coordinates were quickly calculated before I walked over to GZ. The find also didn’t take too long and I soon had signed the log and replaced the cache as found.

Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the log nice and dry.

Just catching up on logs.. This one has been on my radar for a while .. a quick find while visiting family nearby. Thanks ahomburg for placing and maintaining the cache

15-Mar-23
I had tried my luck at solving this one in advance and came up with a couple of possibilities that I would check in the field. Of course those notes were put "somewhere safe" so I had to do it onsite anyway. Except I somehow made a blunder and misread/typed a minute so was one off... It looked a likely spot on the map so I headed off via a few other caches and on to "GZ" where, of course, nothing was found... Checking my work the error was spotted so a drive back again to walk to the real GZ where the cache was found immediately and logged and replaced without any muggles coming by (a couple had been ahead of me and I waited for them to move away before heading to GZ). TFTC, I remember coming here for the previous version of the cache but can't quite recall the details of that one.

Enjoyed your archived cache on top of the tunnel a while back. This was a nice quick multi that worked perfectly. TFTC.

07-Mar-23
A nice quick multi, a case of just do the math and go to GZ, a nice short stroll was had and the cache was soon in hand.

Thanks ahomburg for the cache.

04-Mar-23
WOW, are my math skills shocking. I was looking in the drain, up trees, all over the path. And THEN I had the bright idea of checking my math. One number!!! Arghhhhh.

Thanks for this short and inventive multi. I love these types that are not 2800km away like some others that shall remain nameless.

I had suspected GZ after noting some sus looking trail and grass stompage. But never one to trust my instincts! I was about 5 minutes away from shoving my hand in that pipe outlet.

Out for the day with two of pinnacle333, we were doing multis for a challenge.
This was a simple multi with nicely hidden cache. Thanks ahomburg.

11-Feb-23
This was a lovely simple multi along a lovely walking track beside a lovely creek done on a lovely day. At the final GZ I found the little green beastie quickly and easily. Lovely

30-Jan-23
A nice quick and easy multi before heading home after work.
Did it the hard way by being on the wrong side of the creek and finding out the only way across was via the tunnels and jumping across the narrow bits.
Thanks for the adventure.

22-Jan-23
Lots of bikes on the track this early in the morning.

11-Jan-23
A stones throw from mums where I hang out intermittently so down here on the MTB on a multi mission. Did the number crunching and made the short move to GZ - TFTC, the distraction and the fun!

We found this cache today on our Mainly Multis and Labs Encircling Ashburton Afternoon. A quick multi. Hmmm, we had also found another of your caches in this park too about 11,000 finds ago and almost in this spot. Thanks from D & H B-A

17-Dec-22
In need of a multi for a personal project I'm working on I contemplated Sidetracked Box Hill by the creative Mister Doctor or the colourful Welcome to St. Kilda by queenant89 but decided on this multi for a couple of reasons.
First, it's the weekend so parks where dog walkers are frequent or the need to count items at a playground are best avoided. Second, as is universal with all finders I like co-ords which are as accurate as possible. Thus the other multis are best left to another day.
This cache presented no problems at all and although GZ is a bit exposed, there were only two muggles about having a jog. Luckily, GZ was somewhat away from a very boisterous Xmas party being held on the balcony of a two-storey house overlooking the path.
Cache found, duties done and all replaced as before the find before any muggles were the wiser.

09-Dec-22
Found the info at the listed co-ords and wandered down to Gz. As I approached Gz I had a good idea wherer the cache would be and this was correct. Thanks ahomburb for the walk in a good location.

What a nice simple multi for the day. A lovely quick cache

Needing a cache today to work on one of the new Whittlesea challenges I ran out of time with a lot of things going on so this close to home cache had to be it.
A quick ride down the trail on the scooter and some calculations soon had the cache in hand shortly after. Surprisingly quiet along here for such a nice day.
Thanks ahomburg for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

23-Oct-22
Thanks ahomburg for the multi- I happened to be on a bike ride down the creek - and realised there had been some new ones here and I checked And had just passed the start of this one and looped back. The coordinates didn’t give me a bother so I proceeded to GZ.
Multi-caches like these tend to last a while - I don’t mind the extra cerebral effort to work out GZ’s -
Luckily this morning I had a few minutes of quite time at GZ to find , roll out , sign and replace the log and cache as found.

Needed a multi today so popped out in between showers. Wow! The water really really really was flowing hard today! A nice quick and easy calculation and a short stroll to GZ where the cache was easily found. Thankfully no muggles around. I think the rain has put everybody off exercising.

Thanks for bringing me here today by placing this cache, ahomburg

Second and final cache for this evening, and like the previous find it's another new-ish ahomburg hide. Smile

After getting the all-important starting numbers I retired to a nearby bench seat to simultaneously work out the final co-ords and provide a tasty meal for the many mosquitoes that seemed to be in residence. A few minutes later and I was off and walking.

At GZ I waited out a few muggles til the coast was clear, and made the find instantly thanks to spot-on co-ordinates. Signed the log, visited a trackable.

Thanks for providing all my caching activity this evening, ahomburg. My vague deja vu tells me I'm pretty sure I did that "up the hill, over the tunnel" hide mentioned in the description, a few years back, too.

Third to find!

I originally saw this one pop up yesterday and was keen to try and go for the FTF, however, I could not convince the snuggle muggle to go. With her concerns of the rain and the raising water she did not want to leave the house yesterday.

Which turned out was fine, because I don't think I could have even made it to the posted coordinates faster than n0w0rries had claimed the FTF.

With the weather a bit nicer today, and no statements of the rain and water levels being abnormal from the previous two finders, I was able to convince the snuggle muggle to get out for some fresh air and this cache. Once we got to the posted coordinates the required information was easily obtained, it was then a shortish stroll over to GZ.

Like n0w0rries stated in their log, it was nice to see a trail not be completely flooded. However, as one of the few trails that wasn't, there were lots of muggles out enjoying the fresh air too. We had to wait at GZ for probably 15 minutes or so before all the muggles had left and we could safely retrieve the cache. It was a nice quick find once GZ was muggle free.

Thanks for bringing us back out here today, I am pretty sure I found the original traditional a while back, so it was nice to revisit the area. A nice fun little multi. TFTC.

Cache Maintenance Status:

The sign at the posted coordinates was in good shape and the information was easily obtained. The cache container was in good shape, the attachment mechanism still seemed strong. The logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

It it a lovely spot for a walk...
*One of the few creeks in Melbourne where the trail isn't currently under 3 metres of floodwater!*
I just kept going and eventually ended up back where I started from.
Sitting here in the car, logging {FTF} # 354
Thank you for the Friday Trail Frolic ahomburg.
