Did a lot of searching to no avail. So read the description. Still did not find. Will have to come back. With Kaz53
On a walk with the Kamo Guides tonight and picked up this cache on our way as I had found a precious version. Fairly quick find at GZ. TFGC
Dropping off Mini Mob to go tramping in the forest so a chance to grab some caches near by. #11 needed the tweezers for this one and the help of the cows. TFTC.
2012. 4:05 pm. Between errands I decided to head a little out of town for today's cache. I needed a second visit for the previous HIPSter here, but thankfully it was easy find this time - especially as the weather started to turn and we had to dash back to the car. Found with Li0nPaw. TFT(new Pukenui HIPS)C.
Sneaky sneaky this walk just get more and more beautiful but not as beautiful as amyrose16
Excited to find it this time after a few DNF’s. Very apt hint, thank you! Beautiful sunny day for a walk to the Pukenui forest!
Out and about locally with the kids so thought would grab this one first as its just up the road. Parked and and made to walk to GZ. Once at GZ the cache was quickly located as per the hint. Signed and replaced - off to the next. TFTC
Counting down to 2000. Four more and what better place to take a morning stroll. I found the previous archived at this location too. That could be a first to find second in the same spot.
Cache was indeed missing. Has been replaced today. No need to move any rocks in the wall.
Spent about 30 minutes with 6 of us looking and had no luck. Remnants of the cache exist but the cache itself does not.
Last night I'd seen three new caches published. I was very keen to set out early but woke very early. Thought I'd better wait for daylight. Arrived in Amalin Drive to see a nice new carpark area.
Popped on my rain jacket and set off down the track. A farmer was setting up his breakfeed fences near gz so I had to walk past it. Not what one really wants to do when there are ftfs at stake. Ducked back once he had disappeared into the trees. It was a quick find then so another {FTF} at 7.16am for my project gc badge. I really liked the clue and the obvoius cache so hopefully no damage will be done to the rockwall by geocachers. I saw a walker approaching in the diatance so carried on from gz with the log to sign it. I was surprised it was such a busy place even at this hour on a Saturday morning.
Off to the Heads afterwards for more ftf attempts.
Thanks for the cache
