Although the GPS was playing up around here, we looked where we thought it should be to no avail. Was going to try again on our way back but, as the path was getting fairly busy, gave it a miss.
So many nikau palms! Quick and easy find (no4!) this morning. Only the Sound of the river and birds for company.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 3 of our Matariki 2024 West Coast trip. Today we are driving up the coast to Punakaiki then onto Charleston on a beautiful sunny day. This cache was found on our way back to Greymouth. The track, which off so well, is starting to get muddy now in places so have to watch ones footing. We must have been going to fast because overshot and once the GPSr settled, back to make an easy find, once in the right place. TFTC.
We have just finished a four day walk doing the Paparoa track and we are then greeted with all these cache's. It is important that we clean them up. I started looking on the wrong side initially until Mrs beconaze suggested it must be there which it was of course
This one I did remember while checking in later. First looked in the wrong spot, but then it was pretty obvious. Thanks.
Visiting the South Island from Ottawa, Canada, and getting some caches along the way. So beautiful! TFTC
I am sorry for the late log. But there was so much to explore in Punakaiki and the weather to good that I did not log the caches immediately after the find. But sadly I am already back in Germany with more than enough of bad weather to log.During the loop track I found about three of the caches on the route. After hours and without muggle I again walked the track until the last tradi and could locate all of them. The landscape is so beautiful that it was worth a 2nd visit.Thx to gracie7 + Mum for the fun along this spectacular hike.
One of our favorite trails. Magical valley with all the Nikau palms. TFTC

Loved this set of caches as we walked up to the swing bridge. Thanks Gracie7&mum for always keeping your caches maintained and making them fun to find, with good clues.
Quick find out caching with my nephew and niece from New Jersey USA, whilst travelling together for a week after a family wedding.Thank you for placing the cache. I have enjoyed my opportunity to cache on Te Waipounamu (South Island Aotearoa New Zealand). I acknowledge the Maori iwi of Waipounamu, the custodians of this beautiful land.
Today's road trip planned to go North of Runanga up to the Pororari River leaving Rapahoe for another day.Now it is time to do the string of Trads along the track. The GPS was all over the place but the hints were excellent. Quite surprised that this one hasn't been muggled.Cheers for the cache, Gracie7 + Mum.
Easy find on way back, not only are the cache every 168 meters or so, but also in nice feature along the track, or maybe this track is just full of great features! Both container and logbook were in good condition, thanks for this placement, hint make it easier, but with the number of hikers coming back from the hut or doing the day walk, it is good to find quickly.
Its Maintenance Month and today Mum has an afternoon Lions meeting in Westport so we combined this trip with maintenance checks on all of our caches out this way. We werent sure if we would be able to fit this walk in today as the forcast was looking grim but we made it here in plenty of time and decided to risk it. It took us 1hr walk from carpark to the 10th hide and 30mins return. I recognised the trackside hide on the way passed, while checking the log the GPS settled to 3m. It is quite noticeable hide though. No problems here, Happy Caching
Quick find on the beautiful walk when doing the Road trip around the south island. Than you!
Spending the morning tidying up all the new and old caches along the river trail...
No luck on my way up the track and it did take a while to locate on my return as coverage is bad and I was searching the wrong side of the track but once I spotted the likely camo it was a easy find tftc cache all good..

We did this walk with our 4 kids and we all loved it! What a beautiful landscape with the rock faces and the river and the trees. We found all caches along the river, great addition to the walk
Thanks for placing and actively maintaining these!

No phone range and a very jumpy gps made this a lot tricker than it should have been! Tftc.
Today we walked along this beautiful river and enjoyed caching while sightseeing fascinating landscape and very well prepared caches. Thanks a lot!
A short walk at the evening and looking for some caches. Here I could grab #4 on the way.
Thanks for hidding.
Thanks for hidding.
Today we visited the Pancake Rocks, hiked the Pororari Punakaiki Loop and explored the Punakaiki Cavern. We enjoyed the time and are thankful for the placed geocaches.

My first encounter of the Paparoas was the Inland Pack Track from Fox River to Punakaiki. Later it was the Fox River - Pororari and the Pororari - Punakaiki River loops that got my attention on numerous occasions. Any excuse to lure me back is welcomed with open arms. Thank you gracie7 + Mum.
As often happens we had just left the Coast to spend some time in Nelson when these caches were published so on our return to the Coast today we decided to take the longer route and look for them on our way back.
Although the second one on the trail this was the first one we found.
This is a super track and one we have walked several times, not always in the pursuit of caches.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum.
