No luck for us here. There are a lot of doggy poo bags under the tree and a pretty new looking poison bait station. Possibly the cache should be checked.Thank you for taking us on this nice little walk anyways!
Had a good look saw unfortunately a couple of dog poo bags, and a pest trap but no cache.
Quick find here, Mrs gernita had it in hand before the gossiping gerties bringing up the rear had even arrived
Jarstrat spotted this one for me as well. Easy as many thanks. Nice location.TFTC
I came up on 3 buses today for an outing with my e-bike. It folds down well, having small wheels, takes up little room, and never have complaints from the drivers. I took the WX1 into town, rode over the short distance to NX1, got off at Silverdale and just 5 m from there onto the 981 to Waiwera. So after the bus ended at Waiwera I rode to Wenderholm. Managed to park the bike right next to the cache, which was found straight away. paper looking a little rugged but doing OK, someone left a pencil sharpener little bottle that would make for an ideal cache, so took that with me, but later used it to replace a cache not too far from here. Thanks catnat2891 for the hide, another cache in an awesome location.
**#20,929**Prked up the bike back on the bike rack and it was time to let the dogs come for a walk in the showery day to do the loop, this one was quickly sorted while Mrs Geckoh held the leads of both dogs to let Mr Geckoh do his thing.Quick find thank you.
This one had perhaps come out from its hiding spot as was in full view. We filed the log and decided what to trade for a piece of treasure inside. And we rehud it much more out of sight. TFTC
TFTC, nice easy find. Introduced some friends to the whole geocaching things.
Speedy find after a lovely stroll along the grass, away from the crowds at the beach. Tftc
Another trip to Wenderholm this time to see another part to this regional park. Parked up nearby and made our first find nice and quick.
A lovely day for a walk. Got most of them but will be back later for another looksee
Havent walked along here before & i did so under darkening skies. Nobody else around which was great. Bit of water in the cache. TFTC
Popped by after finishing work.

Including this one.
Thanks for placing this cach.
Ps I dropped a travel bug for the next person.

As I was walking towards GZ (and there was a bit there where I was very glad I had waterproof footwear on!) GAR rang to check on my whereabouts and I walked right past GZ. Backtracking I soon found the hide, retrieved the log and signed it. That was where things fell apart and in my rush to meet up with mum who took the more solid path I left the hide in the open. Luckily, by the time I got to the next hide, I had the feeling I hadn't replaced it properly...so on the way back I made a wee detour to check and yep, I was right. So I rehid the cache container properly and am much relieved that I had the suspicion and acted on it. Thanks for the hide catnat2891.
p.s. the piwakawaka that followed us around the AdLab must have past on the message because another 2 followed me to this GZ. Very cool.

We have been to Wenderholm many times but have never explored this trail so we were very pleased to do so today.
A Fantail joined us as we approached GZ and followed us for quite a while. We have met many friendly fantails before but never one as friendly as this.
Once at GZ we soon spotted the cache and the fantail supervised us signing the log.
A great hide in a lovely location.

AliGle and I headed over Wenderholm today to explore this little trail that we've never visited before, despite numerous visits here! We approached this one from a good angle and quickly spotted the hide. TFTC!
Had arranged to meet with kc for a walk, talk and planning catch up. This little series of caches was perfect and Mr TW soon spotted this one. Tftc
A planned meet-up in Wenderholm this morning to do this little trail of caches with Team Welsh. The rain we had encountered on the trip north had luckily eased up by the time we arrived. We all checked a few hint items before Mr TW spied and retrieved the container TFTC
I'm off to Auckland today to spend the weekend with the my grown up kids and their families who live down there. Saturday's plan is to join the Auckland Geocachers in the morning for a walk in the Waitakere Ranges. Sunday's plan is to watch my Grandkid play hockey then hang out and relax at their place.
With a very sucessful day so far at Mahurangi I still had a bit of time up my sleve for this little trail. I'm definitely on target for my souvenir this month so that's pleasing. A nice little wander out to gz. I had to look in a few places as my phone wasn't settling but I soon found it.
Thanks for your hide out here

I asked Merlot58 if she wanted to join me on a cache hunt a tad north in Wenderholm to which she readily agreed.
It was good to see a nice size of cache for a change.
Cheers for the cache, catnat2891.

Out with the Westie girls.A nice walk along the path between the heavy showers.I found the correct tree pretty quickly.
A nice stroll along this trail which we haven’t walked on before. A little muddy underfoot after the heavy rain, but this did not stop us getting out on today. A nice quick find here of the decent sized cache. TFTC
Out and about for a spot of cache detection and a couple of walks today. After finding "books the optician" I continued my walk over to this ground zero. I tried a few hint items before I got the right one and came up with the goods. Cache was a little on the damp side inside. Cheers for the cache placement and for the walk!
Never knew this trail is here, thanks for the cache placement, unfortunately its wet inside, I dried it out and left a un-activated TB for someone to find.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Lovely day for it ️ bit wet overall, but tube with log was dry enough to sign.

Luckily this part of the trail was still available for us as the rest of the tracks were shut until the treefalls could be assessed and made safe after cyclone Gabrielle. Having ourselves a great time. Cache was totally full of water, even though it was well done up and the container is good. We emptied & dried it out. Had to add a new log - now waterproof paper. Also added a pill bottle to put the log in to help keep it dry. So cache is all good to go now. Surprised it was hard for others to find as we found it exactly as written, only about 6m from GZ. TFTC
Staying at the camp ground, 8 of us looked & couldn't find it anywhere, even looked around several tea tree just to be sure
Congratulations on your first cache placement catnat2891....
I found a good metalled carpark close by, and soon saw the grass walkway.
A few tea trees there; but didn't take too long to find as it is a regular size .
Next time I am passing I will add some little toys for kids to swap if that's ok as it is so roomy.
Cheers!
Looking forward to more!

Heading home with GeohoundandI and we thought we'd see how many thousands of people were spending the day here. Luckily there was enough space to park (abandon the vehicle) where I wanted to, and we had a quick quiet walk to this cache.
Found this one with flossieteacake when we stopped for a picnic on our way back home. This was a nice cache that was easy to find. TFTC
