Hi T_Bear_. Today I found your cache Pulpit Rock Lookout. After a delayed start this morning, a phone call ruined the plan to go to South Arm and surrounds. Plan2A was then activated and we took off up the Derwent to go fishing and find some caches. Thanks for hiding the cache for me to find today. Finding this cache takes my GC finds to 5017 and I found it at 09:38 on Saturday 27 Jul 2024FTF: NoMates: VK7HCHMuggles: noneMy EPE: Condition: GoodWeather: overcastMy favorites:Creative - Back to the future 1 by peaches (GCA5JYD)Hardest - Men in Black Holes by SG-3 (Archived)Most visited - Dragons Lair by Shagzter (GC2E33)
Thanks T_Bear_ for hiding this cache. Now that my calendar and streak are completed, I can just cache for the fun of it. Your Traditional cache, Pulpit Rock Lookout, was just what I needed to get me out of the house and exercising. This is my find #1833 at 09:38 on 27/7/2024. Will be a placing a new cache here soon. Trying to re make my original camo. So its taking some time.
After a DNF that had me concerned, I went to see what was happening. I couldnt find my own cache hahaha. I found a piece of the camo so Im assuming its been destroyed or maybe some animals have some how taken off with it. Will replace this soon.
We came south today for three main reasons: to find a multi on 21 November to fill a gap in our calendar; to visit our daughter and her partner; and to attend the Solstice Event tomorrow. The multi we targetted was the Clyde River Platypus Walk at Hamilton. Of course, this trip provided an opportunity to find other caches, particularly from Hamilton to New Norfolk. It has been some time since we have visited Pulpit Rock. Three things have changed: there has been a significant improvement in the road; the trees have grown much taller, limiting the views from where we previously viewed the Derwent River and New Norfolk; and a new lookout has been constructed giving really good views of the valley floor below. We spent about 45 minutes looking for this cache but did not locate it. Our efforts contrasted with many before us who had made a find after a short search. We identified GZ and then radiated out looking at all possibilities up to 10m from GZ. We then repeated the search but, alas, no joy. Other Found logs mentioned excellent camo which is why we spent 45 minutes as good cammo can be hard to find. We will keep this cache on watch and see how others fa or if the CO does a maintenance check. Thanks anyway Kubben850.
We are heading up to the event at Adamsfield and stopped by here for a look see.Lovely views from here!A lot of effort put into the cache cammo. Thanks Kubben850 for bringing us here.
I came up here to enjoy the view, and, just as I was about to head off, thought I might see if there was a cache around (it's just the spot for one). After grabbing a pen from the car I headed off to GZ, which was actually a more enjoyable location than the lookout, although that is pretty good too. I was briefly worried that it might be a tricky hide, but the hiding spot was not too hard, and the cache was soon signed. Thanks Kubben850.
I have not been to this lookout before so I enjoyed the views and short walk to a nicely camouflaged cache.
Today Zozetta and I went caching at New Norfolk, starting the day with a find at Granton, then went up the Lyell Highway, finding a few more caches along the way. We found thirteen caches in New Norfolk, then made our way back down the Highway, finding a few more caches along the way. We ended the day with another find at Granton, a multi which I DNFed a year ago, so it was good to turn that into a smiley. A great day out with twenty caches found, ten traditionals, five adventure lab locations, two mysteries, two multis, and an EarthCache.
A quick find here. Nice camo.
Thanks for the cache Kubben850!

Hello Kubben850 thank you for the cache
This one took me a bit longer to find than it should have.
I have seen a container like this before.
This was one of many caches found on our way back home from Newcastle seeing our grand children.

This weekend I travelled up to Elderslie for a BBQ, camping on the Saturday night. Sunday on the way I home I went via New Norfolk, Lachlan, and Jefferies Track home to Huonville. It was a great weekend and a good drive back. Jefferies Track was more rough than expected but driven without incident...
Lovely views from up here and a week cammoed cache. Thanks Kubben850

Have been to Pulpit Lookout a few times before but not for Cacheing.A short stroll to co-ords thinking if GPS is a bit off this could be a bit of a hunt, spotted something that seemed out of place and there it was, Signed and replaced. the camo was a good touch. TFTC

Thanks for the cache had this one on the list for a while. Feel a bit lazy taking this long to get here when we live just down the road! Great little spot. Saw a lovely robin on the walk in. Tftc
Thanks for the cache Kubben850.
Taking a leisurely drive home after a lovely day at Mt Field and Maydena.
Have been here quite a few times looking for caches - in fact, I'd never been up here before I started geocaching - what a view I was missing.
This is a good hide in a good location. Happy to add a smiley to the map here.

TFTC cache and contents in good condition. Driven past a few time but never came up. So thanks for bring me to a beautiful spot
An interesting place. Have been here a number of times for caches and each time I find it eerie. A great cache hide, loved the cammo. Deserves a favourite. TFTC
What an amazing view it is up here
I wish i had more time to do the Earthcache (I will be back for it soon) as this spot is amazing and that rocky outcrop to the east side next to the river is stunning!
Eventually i had to wander down to find this sweet creation of a hide which was found pretty much straight away... I do love it when that happens
Sat myself down to sign the log at 13:14 on Wednesday the 8th of February 2023.
Thanks for showing me this stunning view even though i have been here once before for a hide... by memory i think it as a Mystery-Cache ending

I've found a few caches up here. Two of them are archived but I'm sure one is actually still in place. Both SSR and I had a little slide on the way to GZ, luckily staying on our feet. we circled around a bit to the cache but had no trouble.
Off to the market now.
Thanks Kubben850

Great location for a cache.
When I arrived at the location, and the cache was 50 metres further on, I thought abseil gear might be needed. I wandered down the track under the power lines, and noted that the ridge turned slightly the right direction making the walk to this cache fairly easy.
The cache was found quickly. A very nice hide. A favourite point given

Today it was all quiet. Cache was quickly located. Great construction and well camouflaged. Checked out the view again.
