Found this one on Adelaide Cup Day, just before midnight. If you cant go to the cache location, then have it come to you I say

As the cache wasn't in the courtyard, I visited today to see if the cache was in it's correct spot, which it was. Not sure why this would be archived by a reviewer based on a single DNF, nor why Waterlogged logged a "needs maintenance" rather than a DNF (if they couldn't find it, how did they know it needed maintenance?).
Never the less, I spoke to one of the owners about it. She said she had seen it there but didn't know what it was. Unfortunately, she also said she didn't want it there any more, so I took it with me. I'm not sure what to do with it now, as Phelix hasn't logged onto the site in a year, and hasn't found a cache for 6 years. So Phelix, if you want it, let me know.
The archiving of this cache also marks the archiving of the last of the four caches Phelix placed.

If there is nothing there and the property has new owners, the listing should go.
Called in today and spoke to the new owners, they are the ?? owners since lynne and tony were there 7yr ago.
If the cache is meant to be in the court yard, the new owner has gone through it and renovated it totally and never found a thing.
2nd DNF for the day

Yes, you definitely need to be here during the opening hours to be able to find the cache. Co-ordinates are a little off though. The cache page could do with a little updating to make it easier on the next finders. Cheers Gav [1393]
It's a neat idea - but the poor coordinates and lack of notice about limited opening times made it a little disappointing. We loved the ferry trip - I've never been on a free ferry before, that I remember. TNLN, Thanks.
Caught the ferry across the river. Courthouse was closed but Carol (new owner) kindly let us in for a look. Many thanks.
Have to admit for having to ask for help. Quite a different sort of cache, enjoyed it.

Took us a fair while to work out whether we were supposed to look outside or in. TFTC.
crafty little cache... a bit harder than a trad possibly could be a mystery cache??? either way was very impressed with the hide. Had to visit Lyn/carol... (not sure) and the big wig to have any idea... turns out I'm her childrens chaplain at the high school! TFTC it topped of a good day for our group! Order in the court!

A location that has so much of interest to look at couldn't be passed by.
A quick recce and the general location of the cache was established
Hmmmm!!
Nothing for it, but to say hello

What a hide!!! GPS found it difficult to find the satellites. A friendly bit of help from Carol and it was ours!
Picked up Kud Travel Bug and will send him to Tasmania if we can.... to track down Palk.

Visited this one during a day of water skiing at Wellington! We would never have found it without some friendly assistance. Haven't seen any others quite like this before. We thought Kud might enjoy a unique cache like this for a while. During quiet periods, he can sneak out, take a ferry ride and relax by the beautiful Murray river!
I have never done a cache quite like this one and dont expect to again. Oenze got some help from Carol ad after that it was easy though strange. Thanks for the cache. The ride across the river was great.
9th find of the 2nd day at 12:44pm for our Adelaide trip at, accompanied by Feathertop.
Quite a novel cache, havnt done one like this before. TNLN, Signed Log,

Always stop here when we travel across the river. It's great to see the old buildings looked after and open to look. The GC is still there and is now large enough for swaps. The current owners know about the GC and will give you some hints if you need it. Please be sure that it remains safe.
Found with the help from the staff, now for the ferry!.
Thanks Phelix for the cache,

I came in the front door, and couldn't see any workers/owners so proceeded to where a previous log indicated. And there it is! A nice place, steeped in history too.

This one provided a different experience and a pleasant diversion for an hour as we took in the whole display and had a lovely lunch in the café. The woman in charge was most helpful, and although we had already found the cache thanks to previous logs, she was aware of its location and surprised that we had found it without assistance. (Incidentally, the owners are no longer Lynne and Tony) Took DHL Keyring, left an LED torch and TFTC card. Great cache Phelix, thanks
Found @ 11:30
Entered from the carpark at the rear & located the cache easily after reading some of the previous logs, as there was nobody around we could ask.

Found 1500. Found after a long hard think (didn't see the previous log until just now), thankfully the oldest child fell asleep while finding "Can U C a Cow", found after a short search. TNLNSL, TFTC and history lesson.
[Found this cache after searching for the owners to ask for the position.....as no other staff knew the area (or about geocaching).
]Found the cache in the bottom right drawer of the magistrates room and subsequently signed the log.[ Please do not rummage through this historic courthouse looking for a cache container as all the display in the courthouse is fragile. The owners will try to inform all staff of the cache.....
Thanks for the cache

We were here on New Years Eve, the place was open, but after we had a search in the obvious place and could not find we went to the caf, which wasn't open and were turned away, but we had an enjoyable ride across on the ferry and a great new years in the lovely caravan park with great service.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Might have to returned for further perusal as I didn't have a complete look around but what I did see was well worth the visit.
Having received a hint as to which room to search I 'spose you could say I received a bonus, I'll let you be the Judge, when I found not one but two geocaches, so I signed both log books. TNLN SL

Luckily by the time we made it to wellington, the court was open for the day. Made a quick find undisturbed.
Great place for a cache, so simple, yet so hard to find if you dont know where to look.

This was our first stop for the afternoon on a trip to Tailem Bend. The courthouse was open so we went in and spent about half an hour checking out the history of the place which we found fascinating. No sign of any caretaker in sight, and didn't realise we had to go into the store to meet anyone. Had a look up several chimneys and behind some of the doors and other props, but couldn't find a cache. Enjoyed the visit anyhow. Thanks Phelix.

Pleased to say that this cache is still operational.
The cafe has a new owner who had heard about the cache from another cacher. She pointed me roughly in the direction and I made a quick log entry and skipped bail as my car was still in the queue.
I suggest this one be made available again but that more info be put in the description to lead future cachers to the correct room in the building at least - otherwise this would be impossible without a knowledgeable operator in the cafe.
I realise the name is a giveaway but this is inappropriate as it isn't clear enough.
DJ
PS Pointed the new owner toward www.geocaching.com so as to educate her about the sport.

It would appear the courthouse is now unavailable. Will check before closing. Sorry for the inconvenience.
After reading Posspet Boys' recent log, we decided to detour in for our second try at finding this one. Unfortunately, there was no caretaker or anyone around, so we left empty handed again. Maybe with the place now closed, it's time to relocate this one to an accesible place.
Yep, tried over a couple of days, couldn't get access. Did enjoy talking to a couple that live up the road who were taking a walk and spotting a blue wren.
Like the last log, we couldn't get at this one. No-one around and no access. I agree perhaps a short move might be in order.
Turned up to find that the place was closed as it has been for a while. The sign on the door directed me to the caretaker. She was most healpfull and only too pleased to show me into the courtyard. I explained what I was there for and she was quite fascinated. No idea where the cache was located though and she was unable to help. I wanted to prove that I wasn't just a nutter but a DNF was to be in order.
I started to drive away and then thought that after my 4th visit I wasn't going to give up so easily. I phoned the owner and he directed me to the location. The caretaker was now most supprised at what had been there all along.

2nd cache for today. Had to ask for a hint from owners.
Delightful place to visit. Wish I had more time to have a better look around.
Took TB Confused
Left nothing
Thanks for cache.
Owners are still looking for someone to buy the business as they are going soon to Central America.

Found with some help as the cache is not where I expected it to be. A nice place to visit rich in history. TNLNSL
We four sat down for a delightful lunch in the courthouse courtyard all the while scanning the surrounds for a likely sign. I had to assure Wayne that the cockroach trap wasn't a cache container! Eventually Mike gave us a clue and we found it, then he gave us another clue and we found another cache! We took the Honeymooners TB in exchange for Confused TB. Thanks Phelix (and thanks Liz&Bruce for cache #2)
Called in on this one again today as I was passing. All was still locked up but just as I was about to leave the owner emerged & was kind enough to let me in to search & log my visit. An interesting business, I will have to return when its open to have a better look around. TNLNSL. Cheers.
I wandered around and couldn't get in. The GPSr indicated what I wanted was somewhere within. Tried to call the owners but only got a machine. Otherwise this needs to get a harder degree of difficulty due to the access problems.
Not a good start to the day. Started late as from previous logs I realised there was no point getting there early. Unfortunately arrived to find everything locked up (despite open signs) and a small chalkboard stating owners have gone away on holiday until 2nd of MAY!!! Makes this one a bit unattainable for a while me thinks. And just as a note there is a business for sale sign on the front door!
Second of two caches this today (other cache being: Borrika).
Found 02/04/05 (2nd April) @ 5:45pm by Paul & Monique (Team Stargazer). While Monique & I attended the Karoonda Farm Fair, where we had a stall for Monique's work, we stayed here at The Courthouse B&B from Thursday night till Sunday morning. We must thank Tony & Monica for their hospitality and their fantastic meals [^]
We also thought this would be a more enjoyable place for The Honeymooners to spend some time at after their stay out in the sticks (psst - they even preform marriages here also)
Took: Courthouse souvenir spoon
Left: The Honeymooners TB
Thanks Phelix

Our only no-find out of 37 caches we visited this weekend. Arrived very early in the morning, the GPSr was pointing us inside a bit, but there was no-one around except for a dog barking like mad and pretty much telling us we weren't welcome. Will have to come back at a more reasonable hour to try again.
Found it!
What a tricky hiding place. More of these.
Thanks for the cache and best regards,

Stopped for a coffee and ice-cream at GZ but couldn't spot the cache. Didn't have our web notes or decrypted clue to take advantage of, so left empty handed.
With the assistance of friendly locals found the cache in quick time. Took nothing, left nothing, ate meat pie. Cheers, Rav4Raiders
On the way throgh to a weekend at Robe. Met Tony and by completely ingnoring his clues. found the cache quite easilly. Had a nice lunch there too. I've lost the cache notes so I can't remember the details of the swaps.
Found over lunch with Biggles Bear on our Melb>Adel cache grab. Lovely afternoon for a punt. Took local magnet, left car stickers.
Found at 1545 by David & Gwen. A beautiful day, met Lynne and Tony, got the cache, stayed for a coffee and cake and nearly stayed for the Sunday Roast at the restaurant. We took the pink pig to save it from tonight's pork roast and left two sheets of stickers. For interest, the establishment is open daily from 8 am till 8 pm.
At last!
1st visit to this cache, the place was closed
2nd visit, the cache was stolen.
3rd time lucky!
Took 2 Freddo’s for breakfast and left glowing stars and astronaut.

Dropped in on our way south since the logs show this cache is active again.
Previous knowledge told us where to look without having to ask the owners. Found the cache in the camera.
Cache log was the original book so I not sure what happened in the interim.
Still a lovely place to discuss the merits of a jury trial with your oldest offspring.

Found 11:00, spent some time exploring the museum and then found the cache, quite easily thanks to the ‘hint’ in one of the previous logs. Tony spotted us leaving the cache location, and we spent some time with him as he explained some of the history of this lovely location and their plans for future developments, it all sounds rather exciting. Then spent a little time in the courtyard soaking up the autumn sun and eating ice cream.
Took Corn clip and left Koala clip, thanks Phelix for a great cache.

Found at about 16:30.
There was a big lineup at the ferry, so we parked the car and walked over. Had a coffee/hot chocolate, and a nice chat to Lynne, who also gave us a tour of the place, including the B&B rooms. Tony was taken ill on Friday, so friends were helping out, and did a pretty good coffee.
Cache was pretty easy to find, what with the previous logs and Lynne calling hot and cold. Left goodies at the car, and despite Lynne offering to give us a teaspoon to put in the cache, we left and took nothing.
By the time we got back to the car there was almost no queue at the ferry.
A nice spot to stop on the way back from a weekend at the Coorong.

We called in at the cache area on the second day of a boating trip up river. Had a number of other boaties with us and decided to introduce some of them to geocaching. Knew from the clues where we would end up even before leaving Goolwa but could find the cache despite there being 7 of us looking. Spoke to Lynne but with Tony being taken ill the day before she was understandably distracted and was not sure if the cache was still there. We opened drawers looked in pots etc etc but to no avail and I must say we all felt a bit uneasy going thru someone elses stuff.
Will try again next time we are up that way.

Returned to repair cache but thanks to Liz & Bruce they had completed my work. Thank you Liz & Bruce.
Such a quaint location and we didn't want Phelix to have to archive the cache in the event he could not get back there to replace it after it had gone missing. Took one of our made up buckets in so as to replace the missing cache. Thanks Phelix for leading us to this interesting spot and we enjoyed meeting Lynne and Tony.
I was nicely greeted by Lynne and Tony who kindly offered me a coffee. I informed them I was looking for a geocache. They knew (kinda) what it was but informed me it had been taken some weeks ago. It had been in a drawer in the CourtHouse. Someone had obviously removed it.
They showed me the wonderful work they had been doing in restoring the premises. Good luck for their future here with this cute B&B. TB21FD visited this place and would have liked to stay.
It is frustrating not to be able to access the cache at all times!!

We enjoyed the building though. Nice place with a lot of history.

Found by Team GeoCoopers.
Had bit of a chat to some locals Lynne & Tony before we wondered off to find the cache.
This was certainly not what we had expected.
We certainly didn't needed a lawyer or our rubber boots. We did stop by to see the Magistrate but he was long gone.
Cheers Phelix
Found by Mary & David at 1545. We went to court today on our way west for another visit to SA. Only a couple of hours behind the GeoCoopers. Had a chat to Lynne and Tony, who were amazed at having two teams call in on the same day. No lawyers or boots given in evidence, but enjoyed checking out the other exhibits. Took a courthouse pin and left an occy strap. A nice easy walk for once. Many thanks to Phelix, Lynne and Tony for an interesting visit.
