Out with IolantheK for a bit of caching Bit of a story with this one. I needed one D5/T4 cache to qualify so I found that today and now I qualify for this Cache So given that IolantheK had found this earlier in the week I had no problem with the hiding of this one.TFTC georode
It's a free day today and after a haircut I decided to gather some caches. Always good when you qualify for a Challenge straight up No trouble reaching GZ where it was a quick find, retrieve, sign and replace. TFTC, georode.
Out with Shazzar66 and geofriend for a few finds and this was one of them Signed the log and returned to where found. I don't qualify yet according to Project GC. Still have a few T5s and T4s to find on a Saturday. Thanks Georode for the cache and challenge
I had spent the morning with hubby catching up with Supping friends at Sandstone Point. After we got home, I sat enjoying a coffee at home and when I got a call from Team Benders. It was quickly decided I would meet up with her and Si for a particular challenge cache and that turned into a full afternoon of caching. What an adventure today turned out to be. Lots of tree climbing and tree fishing. A great afternoon was had all round. Was with CO at time placement (Beta tester, forgot to write note) Double checked name was in the log with Duppers and it is. I can also note that it was not where it was meant to be too, as it has now been lowered.Hi georode. I have found GCA3VW8 in advance of qualifying. Signed as shazzar66Thanks for the hide.
Oh, just saw this one.QUALIFIED!! RoddyC fulfils challenge Busy Saturday Challenge (GCA3VW8), according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA3VW8/74357
Out for a few hours with nikid1 so we have to make the most of our limited time to find caches for the cosmic quest. I took advantage of nikid1s fishing pole here & soon had the cache in hand. I have a long way to go before I can turn this one into a smiley but its good to have a goal to work towards & looks like Im going to be busy on Saturdays for quite a while! Thanks for the challenge georode
First we visited some challenge caches on our tour and got to know a cacher on the way there - we then searched for the box together on site. It was nice to have met you.Afterwards we searched for some nice caches along the Bikeway and we also found some other caches in the area. Thanks to all the owners for the caches and fun along the wayTeam sissifalke[Team sissifalke](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=Team%20sissifalke) hat [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA3VW8/74357 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") verwendet, um zu prfen, ob er/sie diese Challenge erfllt und er/sie hat es geschafft.OK: found 8 caches per D/T (need: 1)

Out finding a few caches with CuriousQuest. I parked the geomobile nearby and made our way to GZ. There, the cache was quickly spotted and retrieved. With our names added to the log and everrything returned as found, we continued on our way. Signed this one today, will have to work on qualifying. This one required two TOTTs to retrieve. The fishing pole was not long enough so the ladder was deployed as well.
Out and about on the weekend and found a heap of challenge caches in the general area that I didnt qualify for but now have them as targets on my radar.Signed and safely returned.A big thanks to the cache owner for placing this cache
Managed to figure a way to get to the cache today. Pretty wet back here. Looks like I have 9 loops on saturday only.
Found this one among the many relatively new challenge cache up in Brissy. I was coming up from The Goldie today so I thought I'd give it a go. I was surprised a few weeks ago when I saw I only needed one cache to qualify for this one which I thought I could do easy. Then I realised the closest one I needed was near Murwillumbah! Took a day trip down there and found it a couple weeks ago now I am here to nab this one. Needed both my tools at full extension to retrieve the log. Returning it to where I found it was pretty easy as well.I AM GUR
Woohoo - We qualify. Checking back through some challenges that we didnt qualify for at the time of signing the log and we see we now qualify for this one. We signed the log on 21/7/23. It is off to Brisbane I go for the day to do some geocaching. It is a Saturday and I need a few geocaches to finish off a challenge cache, Busy Saturday Challenge Mystery Cache, GCA3VW8. (Completed and signed)I am also planning to finish a couple of other challenge caches as well. The Garden Variety Calendar Challenge Mystery Cache, GC9BY7R. (Completed and signed)Extreme Tree Fisher Challenge Mystery Cache, GC9BY7W (Completed and signed)The AuNZmer Challenge Mystery Cache, GCA8HKR (Completed and signed)October Challenge - Up the hill Mystery Cache, GC9YTBZ (Completed and signed)The Personal Challenge of Bristracker Mystery Cache, GC89FKX (Completed and signed)MM to MMX Challenge Mystery Cache, GC9XR9X (Completed and signed)A short walk from where I parked the car. I had to add an extension or two to reach this cache. A quick find here and the log was soon signed and returned. And somewhere along the way I completed loop 12 of my D/T grid. Thanks for the cache.
Down in SEQ for a few days to celebrate the life of a caching ambassador and a great friend Karicka. It’s more than likely he’d found this one.

On this weekend we are in Brisbane to pay respect to and honour the life of Rickard, to remember and cherish the time we spent with him on caching adventure and interactions. So we are doing what he loved and getting busy caching this Saturday
Had a look at this the last time I was down here without a pole and it was certainly a tree fish, no ifs or buts, so it went begging. This time with moral support we were able to fish and claim it with my 2 loops done on the Saturday.
Thanks georode for placing this Mystery for my find # 4470

Hi georode, visited your cache Busy Saturday Challenge to sign the logbook but looks like I am not qualified to write “Found It” log on geocaching.com. Looks like I have a goal to work towards.
This is probably the most realistic of them all, that I might be able to achieve in the near future

Today was spent geocaching with Willis007, mostly signing challenge caches plus a few solved puzzles with mainly Willis007 doing the tree climbs and I doing the tree fishing with a borrowed pole. A great day.
This one was too high for my borrowed 8m pole but Willis007 could just reach with her broken 10m pole! Phew - it means she has now got another loop. I still don’t have my first!

Kolour and I made a plan to grab some tree climb and tree fish caches. We started off at Deagon and made our way to Deception Bay before heading back for a few more near Tinchi Tamba.
This one was tricky for us to get - we used 2 TOTTs, the first one was a little short, mine is a bit broken, but I was able to retrieve the cache even without using the broken section. Pretty happy about that. Getting it back on its perch was a little tricky as the pole kept misbehaving. Persistence paid off - third time lucky!!!
This challenge was a very important one for me today, after finding this one I have completed loop 9! Super happy with that and giving a FP to celebrate!
Thanks georode for the challenge and cache.

A day off and after finishing most of my chores I decided to head north…
My pole was barely adequate to make the catch and release…
At the time of signing I’m missing 5 combinations…
Another challenge that I’m sure my friends will have mapped out and at some random point during our adventures I’ll be told “you need this cache for…”
Thanks georode
What’s next? 41 different D/T combinations on a Tuesday that all contain the letter S across 41 different LGAs?

After getting the oldie cache earlier tonight that was all the way at the very top of my to do list for this trip, this was THE cache that came immediately next in line. This is because this particular tree fishing challenge not only catapults me to the completion of my 5th matrix loop, which was even better to complete in company of the Queen of Loops: The Green Geckos, additionally this cache also completes now my full matrix loop using only Micro sized caches! What an achievement!! Of course this is a clear favourite point.
With a great variety of DT ratings in Townsville, it was easy racking up the full matrix to qualify for this challenge. Getting the cache down after spotting it late at night was for sure a challenge in itself though, as the branch this was hanging on is pretty thick and the looping wire was a bit bent together. Still, I was able to wrestle it off the tree and land it safely back up again after having bent the wire back in its shape.
After the event at the Chermside Library earlier tonight, The Green Geckos and Muggle65 graciously helped me getting around the area by giving me a lift to the wetlands and some more caches on their way home. Sometimes a 20min drive quickly turns into a 2.5h hunt, especially when there are good D/T ratings on offer. Ultimately I was able to wander further after they dropped me and get over 20 caches that night by being back in my hotel at 2AM! Priorities, sleeping I can do back at home! So thank you very, very much for the company and enormous help finding numerous of my targeted caches tonight! It was simply a perfect night for some caching adventures on the well lit paths by the full moon.
As part of a short trip I am in Brisbane for a few days. During my previous trips down here I was able to make a big dent into my very long list of solved mysteries and caches of interest, such as oldies, caches that count towards my next matrix loop or caches that I could use for one or the other challenge. Though, the list that remained following my tips was still pretty extensive. Unfortunately, I am mostly limited to the night hours for caching this time around, so I focused on just a few caches that I could get quickly. So thank you very much georode for creating Busy Saturday Challenge . It was fun getting it!

One of my geocaching resolutions for this year was to make more of an effort to qualify for a number of incomplete challenge caches. As it happened one of the unfulfilled challenges on my list involved finding other challenge caches in the month of July. I carefully prepared a to-do list of target caches for which I had already qualified, with plans to head out today to pick them off. After completing a couple of tree fishing caches in more exposed locations with constantly passing muggles, this proved to be a much more comfortable exercise, well away from prying eyes. This was just about at the farthest reach of my tree fishing pole, but still manage to retrieve and replace it comfortably. We don’t qualify for this challenge yet but we’re working on it. We found the cache and signed the log.
Found the cache easily enough. The big loop sure helps retrieving and replacing.
Thank you.

Happy to say i qualified with this one with no trouble as i am always busy on a Saturday. Today i came to find this cache and found my fishing pole was a tad too short so i tried some logs nearby to stand on with no luck and after a lot of fails i went to visit a nearby friend to have a coffee and borrow her ladder. This time with more energy and a ladder to help i had the cache down in no time. It ended up being a lot harder to get back but got there in the end. This was a fun challenge and a challenge to get to the log. Thanks georode for all the fun
We signed the log for this on our recent trip to Brisbane. Another awesome challenge by Georode!
Confirming, that we now turn this one to a smiley as we do qualify.
Thanks Georode

Working towards challenges is a large part of the fuel that moves my caching along. For this one, I had to be strategic, which is generally not how I role. I was with the CO when this one was placed. It was a tricky placement, and I wouldn’t have enjoyed it, however the CO did the job with easy (and because I helped by holding the ladder…haha).

Thanks for all the challenges, georode. One more off my list, to be replaced by the next challenge. I expect that in July you will be busy reading lots of logs! FP from me for this one.

I am a few challenges short of qualifying for the CO's Challenging July Challenge. I also have a number of nearly finished challenges involving multi's. So, the aim today was to complete a nice big loop around the northside of Brisbane picking up Challenges, Multi's and the odd interesting cache along the way.
With most of my caching occurring on Saturday I was not surprised to see that I qualify. This was the first cache in the list. I snagged a park nearby and with the appropriate TOTT slipped into the bush. With the morning sun in my eyes, and an extra long branch to get the tether over, this one proved to be a challenge to retrieve and replace. Persistance paid off eventually.
Many thanks georode.

Well, this cache certainly needed some effort from us. When we came earlier today, the maintenance workers were mowing the area so we didn’t feel comfortable finding it then and we came back later. After spotting the cache, we extended our TOTT only to find it was too short. I headed back to the car and grabbed the extender section we keep in there for just such times and made my way back to GZ. Part way there, I decided to bring the ladder as well just in case so returned once more to the car. With extender and ladder in hand I again arrived at GZ. After attaching the extender to the TOTT we tried to reach the cache once more and it was retrieved surprisingly easily. It was then that we discovered that we had left our pens and stamps in the car so back I traipsed for the third time or was it the fourth. I don’t know, I lost count. After signing duties were completed, the cache was returned and we carted all our equipment back to the car for the final time. Thanks georode

Out with geo-friends today to sign a few logs. This one took a bit to sight but eventually Hatzofff said she could see it. The TOTT was just long enough to reach the cache and bring it down to sign. The hard part is always returning it to its rightful place. All done and now I will have to qualify, I'm working on it. TFTC

An early morning drive out to Springfield; saw Peppa and myself in the area looking for a FTF. We acquired the find there and then sat for a chat. It was then I saw a few other caches in the area that I could spend some time grabbing before it got to hot again. Peppa had cleaned out this area already so it was just me.
I later went home and got into some sorting only to find I now needed to head over to Bracken Ridge way. A quick look at the map and oh there is a new cache in the area, winning.
I parked up and wondered in, standing around I thought this is going to take a long time, Then I looked straight up and saw the cache right above my head, albeit a long stretch. I signed the log and returned the cache as found. Thanks for the challenge and the hide.

Beta tester. We were with the CO when he placed the cache. My role was to hold the ladder… very important role…lol. Hoping to qualify for this one soon. Just a fee more to go.

This was a real neck stretcher in searching, finding, retrieving and replacing the cache back to its high arm.

I have signed the log. I will have to check to see whether I qualify. Thanks for the challenge georode
With this cache recently published a few weeks ago, I thought its high D-T was too much of a prize to not detour past here on the way home. I parked where I could and walked to GZ, here I took a few steps around and looked upwards. It wasn't long before I spotted the cache, and the TOTT was deployed accordingly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I am not sure what is going on, as I discovered a fresh logbook? Recent ninja maintenance, or perhaps a couple of geocaches here? Strange indeed. Thanks [georode](http://coord.info/PR2V198) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

I have found the full 81 D-T grid on a Saturday three times over, and only needed one.
----------
This afternoon, I decided to take my kayak and use the high tide timing to paddle in Pine River, followed by Cabbage Tree Creek. A couple of enjoyable adventures on the water, and I then stopped a few times in Deagon and Bracken Ridge whilst returning home.

Had some fishing issues, had to go back to the car for the spare pole to save the situation.
Log signed and cache replaced in order.
According to project-gc I have five loops on Saturdays, makes me wonder what the rest of the week looks like.
Appreciate the challenge Georode, thank yuo

Been a busy Friday just to get here. Then found it busy in the neighbourhood. There was a muggle walking up and down Quinlan St talking to himself for 15mins. Some 4wd and trailer kept reversing and parking ️ in a driveway. Then getting disgruntled he took off in a huff flooring it down the street
So I found my own entertainment and fished this cache from the tree with only a few mozzie bites. TFT challenge georode

Within 300m from my house, but I was not going out in the dark for the FTF! Arrived this morning to Brislions already having found the missing container and replaced the cache. I guess it is now a bit higher than previous - I had to pull out my bigger pole! TFTC.
I am a triple Saturday looper, and two caches away from being a 5x!

Very rarely do I qualify for challenges so the exciting of getting a green tick for this one had me grabbing it between meetings today. I just scraped in with 1 Saturday loop TFTChallenge!

**Good and bad news**
Good news …
I qualify…
I found it first
Bad news…
The little twig the container was on broke.
Spent 29 mins trying to find the container again but no luck in the dark.
I left some of the little twig it was hanging on leaning against the tree to give CO or others some inkilibg where it fell from.
I’m back down here on the weekend so can replace if CO is overseas?
Sorry Georode…
Will attach photos for proof and an idea what container looked like for others.
**Apologies to others…it is there somewhere in the little radius **
Thanks georode
**FP for the challenge**
**I double loop this one**
