Found with PapaGrouch on our way home from holidays. We stopped and found this one in the dark, took a little searching and a bit of feeling around to find it.I had targetted this cache to find on our trip, because when I solved it some time ago I realised we had stopped near GZ on our trip home last year. At that time no caches showed as the puzzle was unsolved. It was quite a challenging puzzle of its kind, the hardest I have solved to date.TFTC
Found at 10:49 AM GAFF1.On our way to the Canberra mega event and we stopped here for a coffee and a pie. While waiting for that to be served p-pprass went off to search for this cache, but oh my are there a lot of muggles looking at what is going on. My GPSr said to look at the top, but after a few moments it was decided that a much more secluded spot would be what the CO decided on. Went down and placed my hand in a spot at random and there it was! Gosh - could have been anywhere, but found it straight away when in the right location - thank goodness [^]Thanks to The Booos
Have driven by a few times, on the way home from the Mountains today I remembered to pull in. Bloody hot here!Cheers
Apologies for the late log Life has gotten in the way of caching of late but with today being my birthday I'm taking some time out to spend the day in good company (SueDan83) doing the things I enjoy (caching and exploring in the bush) down in the Southern Highlands. SD83 had put together a good list of caches for us to tackle and this was the first cab off the rank on our drive south. We managed to park relatively close to GZ and make a relatively quick find of the sneakily hidden cache. A good start to the day!Thank you for another great puzzle and cache hide
Caching in and around Camden today, picking up a lot of solved puzzles and a few trads and labs.TFTC Wilbert67
Caching with oldmorty on our way to Ulladulla.
Puzzle solved with a little extra help from the CO.
Quick find by oldmorty while I got strung by a few nettles.
Thanks to The Booos for the puzzle and the cache.

(1 of 6 today)Down to the Wollondilly for today's finds. Decided on a few choice finds, including an interesting puzzle (or two) and finishing with a previous DNF.Got some going down the highway, and some coming back.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Just catching up with a few unlogged finds from earlier this year. My apologies - it is in no way a reflection on the caches not logged. It's not you, it's me!###END OF ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###On first read, I had a sneaking suspicion I knew roughly where this was, but that didn't help me solve the puzzle. Picked away at it again and again until I finally had what I needed - and my suspicion was correct to within about 20 metres. But with exact coordinates this was a quick find - dodging spiky plants.Added my name to the log, replaced and headed off to me next target.SLTNLNTFTC
A very good series. Finally got a chance to stop here in my way to Canberra for Dawn Service.

A tricky puzzle especially in South West Rocks on an iPhone and paper.
Then trying to get coordinates took a big number of attempts to get close enough.
The inaccuracy of the coordinates meant I had a ten metre circle to investigate so it took a while to locate.

A puzzle that absorbed an incredible amount of time, and an early start proved the goods on the trip down to Jindabyne.
Parked at a gorgeous location and again took awhile for CIH but happily returned a smiley

Now that was one tricky puzzle. I had an idea what the first line should be then hit a wall. Using a system, I slowly had enough words to work out the rest of the "crossword". A bit of research and some local knowledge, I had all I needed to get the GZ coords. But the checker kept saying NO, until the CO made a few adjustments and then I go the nod. Of course, that's where it should be!
The area was familiar, having found a cache near there some years ago, but it was a long, long way from home. However MrD and I planned a drive to the SH today for some caching and we had to pass this on our way.
Once near GZ, it was a quick stroll before MrD uncovered the well hidden hide. Have a FP. TFTC

This could have well been my 3rd ever find after not solving the puzzle. As had a good idea what area, but played by the rules on a puzzle cache, and proceded to solve.Initially found where pieces slotted in, a few words, but not enough, what could it be? A slight push from a previous finder, then a closer look. needed 3 pages of crossing outs and insertion. Took a while doing that but solved along the way. At GZ didn’t take the direct route, but looped around. Stealth required. Didn’t bring my glove and a few expletives as I searched desperate to find. Eventually layed my hand on it after a prickly entry point found. TFTC
Last Sunday, we were relaxing, waiting for afternoon tea time. Then these puzzles were published. Sue allocated this one to me and we started solving whilst enjoying a cuppa.
Three hours later, I had all the words exZachary in place. Using an erasable pen was useful as words were altered and spelling corrected. Enjoyed the challenge. Of course, there's probably a solver on the internet - if I only knew what this type of puzzle is called.
Now the next step. Dug around a bit before seeing the answer. Unfortunately, the checker wasn't initially happy. However, it is now happy and so are we, as we managed to find the nicely placed cache on this palindromic sort of date. {FTF}

A crossword which initially didn't mean anything to me . I asked around with people , like my brother in law who does a few crosswords a day . No one heard of such crossword that I was trying to explain . Google didn't help but maybe I was asking the wrong question- no luck there . so I had to reach out for a hint a clue to suggest where I should start this odd crossword . I managed to get to a point but still not going forward with this at all . It seemed doing 600 pieces jigsaw would be more rewarding - bit your tongue . After almost a day or more of getting nowhere with this I needed to phone a friend and using the 50/50 method I finally managed to see the light at the end of the tunnel and Certitube was happy . I arrived near GZ as my Iphone tells me I only have about 30 meters to the actual GZ. So down I went avoiding the spiky thistle weed it wasn't long I had my hand on the cache. TFTC Booos I eventually got there - 2ndTF !
