The first of seven caches found today with Zozetta. We didnt have much of an idea of where we would go today, but decided on Fern Tree as the weather seemed to be playing nice today. It was still pretty chilly once we got to Fern Tree, but not too cold.Tunnels seem to be a bit of a theme for us today, we also found Jacksons Tunnel (GC1KRMV). Both are very interesting places, I wonder why this ones here? Took us a while to find as we slightly misinterpreted the hint. Favourite point given. Thanks for the cache Budgietas!

Wow didnt know this was here, thanks for showing us this interesting spot.A favourite point from us.TFTC

We were a little confused to start with by the 'rock face' comment but dismissed it. We also didn't agree it was a tunnel and our coords were approximately 20m out. Of course, we couldn't find the cache either...Doh! We were totally in the wrong spot! After climbing up from the creek, the 'real' tunnel was soon spotted. What an interesting spot! It was tempting to go inside but it looked like it could collapse at any moment so we didn't! Would love to know the history and why they didn't continue. Love it when caches take us to hidden places like this! Deserves a FP. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan

Tasmania Trip Day 8. After arriving in Hobart yesterday afternoon and having a nice walk before dinner, today my aim was to visit some counties to the south west of the city. I did not go onto the island, but I did the rest of the counties. It was not the most successful of starts to the day, but I reached the numbers I was hoping for and headed back into town where I went for a much longer walk around the middle of the city and docks to do about six sets of Labs. By the time that was all done I was looking forward to dinner and a long nights rest.It was great to visit this very impressive location, even if I really struggled to locate the cache. Mind you, when I did see it, how could I have missed that. oh well, done now. Thanks for the cache Budgietas45974.13 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Geocaching HQ Lackey 2021 tag A#446**Albida**

I was trying to fill my calendar and was successful earlier. I decided that instead of going home to pack for a week and sort out some solar and batteries that I would continue caching and try to find a couple I missed a little while ago. This time there were no muggles having a barbeque nearby on the other side of the creek so I was able to find this cache without being bothered. Thanks for the cache!

Happy International GeoCaching Day

After that I headed back in the direction of Hobart to pick up a Cache before I had to meet some workmates at Moonah for a work Social event. After the Social event I found a couple more on the way home.

A lovely day all around (not the thorns from the blackberries though, that was not fun)

Driven past this one 4 times (when i was with Non Geocaching Folk of course) so today, in this area, i wasn't missing out. Parked nearby and walked into a cool spot with a feature i never spotted in past times going by here, blink and you'll miss it, but it was properly sighted today.

Made a quick find and sign at 12:58 on Monday 31 July 2023.
The cache and contents are in A1 condition.

TFTC and for bringing me here, Budgietas Smile

After visiting Huonville early this afternoon , we decided to check out this cache on the way back to Hobart. Seeing that the location was very accessible, we decided to look for the cache. Accurate coordinates and a logical hide location led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Budgietas for the cache.

After heading further south to find the COs newly hidden snake caches Wink, SSR and I called here on the way home. I found it fascinating and wondered why I'd never seen it before. We had a poke around and SSR made the find of a decent sized container.
Thanks to S_38 for sharing his knowledge of the tunnel.
This is cool and deserves a fav point
Thanks Budgietas

TFTC Budgietas.
I parked in Wiggins Rd, and approached GZ by crossing the creek.
A quick find with the hint.
Such an interesting tunnel - to nowhere - and perhaps explained by S_38.

Thanks for this caching experience.
Cheers, EPs.

I have seen said tunnel several times. Even enquired about and looked at the private property at No. 883 that it is located on back when this property was for sale. We were told by the property owner that the tunnel was made during testing of a sandstone burrowing machine as this was one of the few areas on earth with the same stone. The machine was then shipped away (I can't remember where, but might have been Germany) for further use. The property has since been resold (not to me). This morning I sat at home drinking my coffee wondering to myself why I needed to leave 5 minutes early. It was only in the car that I remembered. Cold frosty dark morning. Parked in the driveway and made a quick run in the dark, luckily no GPS or searching required as I got to the tunnel and found it the first place I put my hand. Future searches should be aware this cache is well within the private property boundary but I'm pretty sure the owner doesn't care that much as this tunnel is regularly visited by the general public. Thanks for a good cache Budgietas Smile ... Edit 6/6/23 it appears the owner does care ...
