Logs
Reperio 15:50With a mid week day off work, I decided to take a drive along the Bridle Track and tick off a few of the First Australian Parliament Geocache series. After returning along the Bridle Track, I slowly made my way towards Bathurst. With every cache searched for found, it couldnt have been a better day for driving and geocaching.I had previously tried stopping at this one many months ago, but if was far too busy. Today I found a park very close, and soon had the cache in hand.Gratias Joshwa27As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV

Travelling with a group from Canberra as part of a small invasion of Bathurst caches. Caches signed as CBI24 for Canberra Bathurst Invasion 2024. Lots of fun solving the various puzzles and now looking forward to finding lots of caches. Tftc
Found as part of Canberra (Region) Bathurst Invasion 2024 (CBI24) which after the Peel Reserve caches consisted of minniek, Joolay, Kittykatch, GLISS!, FurfacesLL, isopeda, Tankengine, dty73, TikvaNZ, Contesta, Domsky, Youban, Barb2e, Smittengranny, and myself.A plan was hatched, accommodation booked, and caches chosen - it was another Canberra Invasion of Bathurst. It seems a long time ago that I participated in the first Canberra Invasion of Bathurst back in 2009 where I found cache number 1000 ! This time around it was the Peel Reserve that was my priority, and afterwards hopefully to clean out Bathurst again. After a few of us did Parkrun we assembled at the Peel Cemetery, and after a chat with the friendly local farmer we started our trek. Once that great walk was completed we continued on our list. All caches were found without issue unless stated. This one was a nice quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued along our planned list. Thanks Joshwa27 !!
fitzy_1965 and I organised a group to do the walk around Peel Common. Our group included: Contesta, domsky, FurfacesLL, youban, tankengine, dty73, GLISS!, Joolay, kittykatch, tikvaNZ, isopeda, barb2e & smittengranny. After a few of us did parkrun, we all headed out to the Peel common to pick up all the puzzles we solved.Once finished, we headed back into town to collect the Pillars series and anything else in between. The puzzles were great to solve, and all caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

Today, a group from Canberra (and some from surrounding areas) are in Bathurst for the next in our Invasion series. We were last here 4 years ago, but there are plenty more caches these days. This years group includes barb2e, Isopeda, Youban, DTY, Tankengine, Kittykatch, Joolay, GLISS!, domskys, FurfacesLL, TikvaNZ, minniek, fitzy_1965, Contesta and myself. All caches found were signed as CBI24 standing for Canberra Invasion of Bathurst in 2024. We had quite a long list of caches that we hoped to find over the weekend, and it is pleasing to note that most of us found all on our own list for today except one that looks as if it has fallen victim to The Winter Festival. After collecting a few in town, the main group concentrated on Peel Reserve in the morning, while others, including me, Youban, and barb2e, followed our own agendas. Huge thanks to all cache owners for the great hides and puzzles that I encountered today. I had a thoroughly enjoyable day, which has left me somewhat weary, so please excuse the generic logs. This was one of the caches that we found and signed.
Tankengine, Youban and I left Canberra just after lunchtime on Friday and drove straight to Bathurst. We had solved many of the puzzles or at least started the solves before coming. We were looking forward to finding many smilies this weekend and hanging out with our friends. We met up with our friends and signed caches as CBI24 (Canberra Bathurst Invasion 2024). The group included Fitzy_1965, Minniek, Kittykatch, Joolay, FurfacesLL, GLISS!, Tankengine, Youban, Contesta, Domsky, TikvaNZ, Isopeada, Barb2e, and SmittenGranny. We had an awesome dinner at the Kelso Hotel Bistro Friday night. And attended the ever changing event on Saturday night at The Reckless Brewery Co. Breakfast was at a couple of cafes that were all good and lunches wherever we could find it. Our little cabin at the NRMA Paramount caravan park, where there was just enough space for all three of us (just). We slept ok, but the leaky taps needed attention. We had an awesome time and would love another chance to visit Bathurst again another day. This cache: SmittenGranny made the find at this one. What a beautiful building. Tftc!!!

A weekend of fun with a group of Canberra cachers. The weather was beautiful, cold and clear with little wind and it was a perfect day to be out walking and exploring and enjoying a winter weekend in Bathurst. We signed the logs as CBI24 ( Canberra-Bathurst Invasion 2024)Thanks for all the adventures and efforts to create some fun hides for the Geocaching community. Domsky
We were in town with Geoturtle37, Pappi4056 and the Drovers enjoying caching around Bathurst.Unfortunately even with this many eyes looking we came up empty handed,Thanks anywayLogged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).
Whilst letting the young ones play in the adjacent park I solved this hoping to offload a TB that I have had for a while. Made the find but given the location and the fact it has gone missing previously decided not to leave the TB. Hopefully find a place for it in Dubbo. TFTC
OCW frazeydaze. After a dnf here at Christmas we noticed that the CO had replaced the cache. As we're at Blackheath this week we decided to grab this cache and a few others owned by the CO around Bathurst today.A quick park and grab. Thanks for replacing this cache joshwa27.

#7037- Really enjoyed these puzzles. Last month when thomo31 and I were out here, it was a weekday and you couldnt get within cooee of the hospital. Today we made an instant find with a 20m walk. Thanks.
Found with WaywardWoman. Plenty of parking nearby on a quiet Saturday morning. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
We’ll look next time. Hopefully we’ll get there earlier and parking won’t be such an issue.
That was an interesting story and loved the appropriate final location, what a lovely building. We had a bit of trouble finding a nearby parking spot, and had to go round the block. After checking the wrong side first, it was a quick find in the second location searched. TFTC.
#22672. Parking proved to be the main headache here. Ended up parking by the park. Quick find at GZ. TFTC.
Found on our trip of the big Island, took a little longer than it should have as GPS was bouncy. All good
