Havent been to this reserve so it was nice to wander around with the place to myself. Will come back sometime and properly do the Luminos night walk when I have company and a better torch This cache was a bit of a reach. Took a pic of the log to show some muggle had found it, was a bit disappointed in what it wasnt, but good naturedly shrugged it off with a cool little log Mihi ki a koe, xsaveya, mo te keteroki #469
A quick easy find, although the cache name is somewhat of a misnomer, as the facilities do not open until December. TFTC
First stop off here and always wondered what all the cannonball stuff was about, know I know the area. All good here after parking nearby and things were looking up when I reached the cache sight. Cheers xsaveyaAfter a couple of months in UK attending to a relative mrs c is back in town today, Welly airport to be exact so I took a couple of days off to head South and collect her and have an extended weekend break too. Out of the house early, but no too much so, and a steady trip towards the destination, 1330 collection, and time for a couple of therapeutic stop-offs. Thanks to all COs whose placements contributed to my fun today.
**#21,320**WC KimberleyWalking back to the van from having completed the fun night cache, we thought we would give this one a go. Looked in all the wrong places first but then a hint gleaned from a previous finders log sent us in the right direction and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC
Attended the Cannonball weekend of events and now everyone has packed up and gone home.We have one more night, so came to find the cache while it is quiet. All good here, with rebel98
Everyone gone home, great weekend of caching fun. Happy to see cache replaced. With rustynz
A quick slash & grab - ha ha ha! - while attending the Cannonball Run IV Weekend event(s) c/o TwigNZ. TFTC xsaveya
#14,777. Parked up for the starting event of the weekends camping activities based in Levin. Wandered over to grab this one. Fortunately, the GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.*Thanks for placing the geocache, and for bringing us to this site, and *.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*

Up from Dunedin for the weekend and heading to the cannonball run events near Levin. Thanks for the cache, xsaveya#5877 ** Make your way to Dunedin for New Zealands next large multi-day event. GCA7ZHD Geo Toroa will be held on NZs Labour Day long weekend 26-27th October 2024 **
Checked this guy today, container and log have gone so have replaced. Log is a temporary one.
this was released about the same time as i had to leave the event here on the sunday morning and so i did not realise it had come out so it has now taken a specific trip down here to locate the cache I had been warned that i might need a something to elevate myself and as i always travel with my trusty geo stool i was able to retrieve the cache here after easily spotting it from down below ! as my time was rather short and the gate was closed barring entry in to the reserve i decided to leave the other nearby puzzle cache which had been solved . it will happily wait for another visit ! Thank you for this cache and i am amazed such a little shorty could place this cache ! . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I was very pleased to have Talla64 with me to retrieve this one. There's no way I could have retrieved it! We are out doing a bit of caching on a beautiful sunny winter's day. Thanks for placing a cache here xsaveya.
Out and about with Flowerydaze searching for caches on a lovely sunny winters day. GPS played up a little bit here and the coords had me wandering back and forth and after searching the only likely hiding place FD read some of the previous logs and what do you know, a big clue led us to the hiding place. TFTC xsaveya.
I biked out here thinking it would be fairly muggle free this morning but nope. I had to sit down for a while, until a couple of muggles moved on. Then a car turned up, so I waited until they disappeared into the bush.
Once the coast was clear the hunt was on.
I checked the obvious structure where the gps indicated without any luck, so widened the search area. Eventually I spotted it but didn't know how I was going to access it. I had to utilize a couple of TOTTs to retrieve and return it, but I got there eventually. Glad there was no one around to see me.
Thanks for setting this up

An excursion on a winter evening gets pretty dark! Took me several minutes of hunting by torchlight to find this cache, somewhat helped by a reading of previous logs. All good in the container. Tftc!
Up to Levin tonight with tmann421.
Did a couple of circuits here before spotting the container.

Have co.e out for the night cache so collected this while we waited for enough darkness. No good for the horde of kiddies but luckily we had someone no so vertically challenged to grab it.
Thanks for the cache

Last week I had a wee accident while Geocaching that left me unable to get out and about for what turned into a busy Geocaching weekend in the Wellington region. I was sad. However, despite having some ongoing recovery issues I am able to drive (forwards only, in a straight line) without too much trouble so when I saw that there were still to recently published Geocaches in Shannon that had not yet been found I knew what I had to do.
After I had dealt with the Shannon caches, as I was making my way home again, I decided to stop by here. As I had hoped it was very quiet here with absolutely no one about. Which was perfect because back in March there had been three new geocaches published in the area and I needed to find them.
This was the first one, a quick find thanks to a previous log indication which direction to look and my own personal attributes making that location easily accessible. All good here.
---
Thanks to xsaveya for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

Came out to the reserve to do the night cache. Easily spotted this one but needed the help of some taller family members! TFTC
That was tricky but got muggled while signing but managed to rehide between school kids going into the building
In Levin for lunch with a friend. GPS had me looking six metres away. Thanks xsaveya for the cache.
We headed off to Levin on this beautiful autumn day to look for some mostly recent caches. There were five we hoped for and only one eluded us.
We completed our caching today by visiting Kimberley Reserve, which we’ve not done for years. It seems quite spruced up from what we remember.
The GPS had us spending quite a time searching the wrong spot. We were about to give up when I focused my attention on a significant word on the cache page, so despite it being several metres from where the GPS said, I moved to that different location. Soon after the cache was located although retrieval was a big stretch, as was the return! TFTC xsaveya

Found it!
Out with the geohound visiting the Levin dog park for a change in scenery and decided to zip over and nab this cache. Intended to try the nearby night cache and nab the other traditionals here but there were too many muggles and the geohound thought the horses were friends for him….

In the area today to score the "Levitation" cache series and some of the new ones recently published. Wandered around in circles a bit before spotting this one, fortunately the coordinates were accurate! Signed log, TFTC
This was a team effort here, quick find and replaced as found.

One more find before the weekend finished. And another joint {FTF}. Many thanks for the caches xsaveya.
Joint {FTF} along with a huge hoard at the adjacent event. Well, series of events, actually. Nice little hide here, at a nice convenient convenience.
#12,689. Joint {FTF}. We had arrived at the CITO venue and were informed that a new cache had been placed at the reserve and a joint FTF was available. Soon discovered the WC was the GZ at KR. IF was seen prowling around outside the Gents and she soon spotted something tucked away from view. With the help of a Pee I was able to prise the small object from its snug hiding spot and give it to IF to hold onto and inscribe our initials. Then back it went into the fold for the next tall person to discover. Thanks xsaveya for hiding it here.
Another joint {FTF} cache to be found at the reserve. xsaveya I hope poppa helped you place this cache. My gps was playing up so it took me longer than it should have done to find it -actually when I arrived at GZ I did have a quick glance in the general area but didnt spot the cache -grrr!!Im in Levin for the Cannonball Run event and have teamed up with Itchyfeet2020 and the Seagnoid to find caches to help me fulfil my goal of finding 50 in a month. After the rain of the last few days and overnight it is good to sea the sun again and feel its warmth on Saturday and Sunday.Kia ora rawa atu for the cache xsaveya.
Staying at Kimberley Reserve this weekend with a sizeable group of geocachers. A continuous stream of cachers heading over to GZ across the morning in between breakfast and packing up duties. Thanks for the cache.

Another bit of an interesting story with this one.
This weekend I was playing host to my 3rd annual Cannonball Run camping weekend, and by now it was Sunday morning. I was due to host my CITO event at 10am, but most of the camp had made plans to head into Levin to tackle a cache requiring a ladder. They were running late, but got away at about 9:05. Having waived them off, shortly after my phone went 'ping' and I saw with surprise that a new cache had just been published, not 70m from where I was standing! So I wandered over to it and casually made the find. At least I had a pen on me this time after not having one on me last night lol!
After everyone got back from their ladder expedition, they were able to make the same find, and someone asked the CO's granddad if it could be a joint FTF? Oh well, at least I know I got the genuine one.
Thanks for setting up another cache here, and adding to the whole experience of the weekend.

Thank you xsaveya. This cache was published today while a few of us were planning the levitation cache. Upon returning to the campsite and after partaking in the CITO and campbreak down it was a no brainer that I was going to head over this way before leaving. I see most of my other fellow cachers had already done so, so i got a personal escort from the CO's Grandad to guide me to this one. A [FTF] as per the CO's agreement for this event. TFTC
Out at the CITO at Kimberly reserve, {FTF} as per the CO in attendance, joint effort with hubby & NZ_B.
(# 7629) Joint {FTF} Up to Levin this weekend for the famous TwigNZ Cannonball Run v2023. Got told of the cache soon after publication. No great rush to find as most campers had left camp chasing other caches so it was a nice stroll to the coords. A quick find and no problem retrieving. Thanks xsaveya for bringing me here.
I walked to the host structure to use the facilities within and saw a gathering of suspicious individuals congregating nearby.
On approaching the group, it was obvious what they were up to, but were struggling to retrieve the object of their focus.
In swooped EtherLord who is well known for his brute force attributes, and the logbook was soon being signed.
Thanks for placing another cache in this reserve, and to Grandpa for his consulting services ??

19 March 2023 10:18. No, not at all dodgy looking loitering around here! Glad I spotted it quickly, and delegated the retrieval and replacement to the tallest member of the group. TFTC xsaveya for placing this cache, number 12420 for me.
Joint {FTF} with Infoferret, and GSEL. Thanks for another cache this camping weekend.
Here we were sitting in the car before twignz cito we were on the way to grab Levataion#9 in Levin we get the alert that the cache has been published we are all debating whether we turn around and get the true ftF however there were 6 others waiting on arrival at levitation for the ladder so after we got back and helped with cito Me and Tom( The seaganoid) went to find\\
