I was heading to New Plymouth for a quick overnight trip and decided to detour to pick up a few caches here. It was raining at this stage, so I grabbed the cache and took it back to the car to sign. Nice little series, and a good spot here, TFTC Smile

Chinese gooseberries as I used to call the a few thousand moon ago. The older varieties are yummy.

After caching along the coastal walkway yesterday, today we decided to cache in the countryside.

Out and about with LNM1961 revisiting Taranaki and collecting caches.

Kia ora rawa atu for the cache MIOW4.

I was working for a scientific organisation when the name Zespri originated. Way back in the day, kiwi fruit was known as Chinese gooseberries, & I remember they had a very furry skin.
I love the traditional ‘Hayward’ variety.
Cache signed and replaced as found. Caching in the Taranaki area with NZ_B

Wow, lots of mud here. Luckily the cows still have lots of good grass too. Spotted this one from the car, things stand out when there is only mud around otherwise! TFTC

With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap)... A planned expedition into the Taranaki region. All logs were signed with our individual handles, or Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa) depending on who accessed the logbook first...

King's Birthday Saturday: We discovered the Kiwiana trail a few months ago, and we were determined to add it to our list of caches to visit sooner rather than later. We formed a plan that included our Huntly friends. Then it was a matter of counting down the 'sleeps' before we were away... We could hear the hum of activity coming from the nearby farms, but the roadside was completely quiet. A quick find - Thanks MIOW4. TFTC.
