A virtually empty carpark on a stunning day. The old nemesis hint item so resorted to the elimination method. Pleased to finally find it. [TFTC]
Noticed we hadnt visited this regional park yet and there are some more caches to find so headed over here today. The road to get here was very poor but when we arrived we were surprised to find so many people. Looks like there may have been a surfing competition or something this morning. After finding 'Te Arai Point -- Discover' we made our way over to this GZ. It was pretty busy here so we decided to carry on exploring and made our way to check out the end and the nice little beach. Took a look for this on our return as the muggles had moved on and made a find.
Maybe Im only blind, but too much green and too many muggles today. Nevertheless thanks for cache here with this nice view.
( ) Out for a long day of caching 12 hrs all up, with the appropriately named supernanny. Always nice to cache with an equally enthusiastic cacher! We pulled up close to this cache and over to the flax we went, I tried one of them and it was the second one I searched that had the nice little blue container deep down. ( ) Then we sat back in supernanny's car, eating some of her yummy fruit cake she made, and she was dithering about going up the hill to the Wow cache by G-2. It was on her to do-list, so I said: 'Go Helen!' I gave her my hat seeing it was so hot and off she went, I sat under a cool tree overlooking the beach out of the sun and waited for her return, about 30 mins later, she was pleased as punch to have found that cache then we headed back towards Auckland. ( ) There are quite a few more caches we want to get, and this one was our most northern for our jaunt out of Auckland today. Thanks for bringing us here today!
Out caching with Gorby for the day....ended up being 12 hours on the road!Weather was stunning...lovely and sunny...lots of folk enjoying the beaches...Both searching the flax bush...Gorby soon came up with the goods. This was our furtherest from home cache of the day .
Find #721Found while walking Te Araroa - new Zealands long pathway from Cape Reinga to Bluff. Thank you to all the cache owners who place and maintain these caches, and thank you to all the people who help me and others on the way. This is a beautiful beach, took it slow so I could find some caches here. This one was found in excellent condition, signed as LBB to save space
Another day walking the Te Araroa southward, today walking from Mangawhai to Puketi mainly via beach walk with a couple of stream crossings. Along the way the headland abutting the mangawhai forest with its picnic tables by the carport made the perfect place for a second breakfast and not too long afterwards I wandered off packless to find this geocache, at about 458.5km into my walk. I nice quick find in a spot easily located. Thanks Duckiefinds514 for hiding a cache here, making my break from wearing a pack a little longer and my day a lot more fun. Cheers!-- This log is trackable ! ---- Feel free to discover ---- Please mention, in which cache you've seen this code: ---- 3TABQX --
Out and about getting a few caches. Stopped by this one today. Was not many people on the beach so was able to get to GZ un noticed. Was a quick find. Signed and replaced. TFTC
Not too busy here as a small cloud of rain came through, dived into the flax & signed. TFTC.
We haven’t been to Te Arai for a while. Surprised and pleased to see a new cache here. Did a wander out and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC.
Thanks for the cache. I am so happy we took this detour. What a lovely spot. BF leaving today but it is so beautiful I have decided to stay on longer before returning to SA. Signed log and returned to where found.
I’d been keeping tabs on this cache, knowing we were heading up north from Tāmaki Makaurau to Langs for Easter. We had to delay by a day to Saturday so I thought my chance of an FTF had gone, but it was still showing as unfound when we made it up this morning. After a play on the beach and some lunch I set off (no one wanted to come with me). A cracker day for it and after moving to a second bush, I made the find. The muggle who had offered to help me find what I’d lost but had heard of geocaching once I confessed was very happy for me as I proudly showed them the blank log! Might as well sort out the rest of the caches nearby, since I’m here! Thanks for the flaxalicious cache!
