Thank goodness, no frog! We were beginning to think that Shannon and Beasty were walking around with a big bag of frogs (not the chocolate ones) and depositing them at the caches Wonderful trail - thanks for setting them up and the puzzles.

This one took a while! We thought we'd got into it fairly quickly but soon realised we hadn't. Persistence was certainly the key, and we needed plenty of it. FP for the series. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan

Picked up VK7HCH on my way here so we could both have a crack at these caches.
This was the first we attached and it wasnt too long before I spotted the hide. Vk7HCH did the honours of opening the cache and logging.
Thanks for the cache RedVikingX

Thanks for the cache RedVikingX.
I was keen to find just one cache today so that I could complete a challenge - so having already found Path to Madness #1 and #2, the GeoGSP's and I headed to #3.
Well I found the cache, and I sat on the nearby seat in the lovely winter sun, and used all my positive vibes to access the log for this one. After about 20mins and not getting more than a third of the way, I decided to have a go at #4.
Approached #4 to find some muggles soaking up the sun on the seat nearby, so took the GeoGSP's for a lap, and then returned to find an empty seat. I made good use of that seat after finding the cache, and gently took the steps to access the log. In comparison to my attempt at #3, this one did not take too long and I was able to sign the log soon after.
Thanks for another in the series - #3 will have to wait. A favourite from me for this one.

In hindsight, we tackled the most difficult of these caches first, but as we had seen similar field puzzles previously, we knew what was in store. We thought that we were doing well as we got the puzzle completed. However there were two more stages - drat. After about 15 minutes, the logbook was in hand. After signing the log, the challenge was to put the puzzle back together. That took another five minutes. Thanks RedVikingX for the challenging puzzle. We appreciate the time and effort you have put into constructing and placing this little series of caches.

This one took a loooot longer to open…. Hitting dead ends!! Outer 3D puzzle took 30 minutes, both of us taking turns trying… don’t know how dencoxclan did it, but he got us past a stuck point… then in the end somehow I got it right out but I’ve no idea how!!! I got soooo cold while we were unlocking it but didn’t notice until afterwards. Middle one took a further 3.5 mins and the inner only 10 secs. I’m loving this bushland reserve, and what a great series. Terrific effort and much appreciated but us. Shame about the missing one at #3. I also am really into 3D designing so this gets a massive tick from me. Favourite given.

Found today while out caching with Zozetta. We began the day at Lauderdale where we did ‘The Path To Madness’ series, then we went to Single Hill where we found four and then went back to Lauderdale to get a multi and a couple of traditionals, although one of those was a DNF. We found seven traditionals and two multis ending up with nine finds and two DNFs. A fun day out with many quality caches found.

This series was our first target today and, after reading previous logs and watching the caches accumulate favourite points, I knew that they would very good and we were not disappointed! Unfortunately, we had a DNF on 3 so we’ll be back.

Well, this one took a lot longer than the first two! We had quickly solved both 1 and 2 in the series, but hadn’t been able to find 3, so we arrived at GZ about twenty minutes after starting the series, and confident that we would be able to solve it quickly. After waiting for a muggle who was near GZ to move away we began trying to open the container. As it turns out it took us half an hour to complete the first part, and thirty-four minutes in total. We signed the logbook, took some time to admire the detail and creativity, and then took a further four minutes to put it back together. A fun, but challenging series of caches, hopefully we can return soon to try 3 again. Favourite point given.

Thanks for the cache and series RedVikingX!

Took us a little while to get through the puzzles but it was a lovely little spot to sit in the warm autumn sun, and finally got to deposit a trackable we had had for a while. Thankyou to the Vikings, you have inspired us to maybe so something a little similar with our own 3D printer.

Hello RedVikingX thank you for the cache

Tonight been our usual BNO and with two missing EeePees and I went caching.
Well by now it was quite cold and very dark and we spent a long time before we managed to get into the log.

A great little series with field puzzle challenges - adding a Fav here, for the series.

Found this evening with AlbyDangles - as the muggle members of our usual BoysNightOut dinner group were absent, we 2 went geocaching instead.

Parked nearby #1 just on dark, grabbed our torches and headed off - completing a return walk to #4 - and then back to the car. No rain, but quite cool, so walking was brisk, and muggles sparse.

Quick finds as expected, although times between finding, and accessing the logs slowly increased proportionally with the difficulty level along the way.

Kinda wish I'd put my beanie on. It is frustrating trying to open the log container, but probably more frustrating watching someone else trying!

This one certainly took the longest to open, all the while battling the cold and neighbouring muggle movement - all good in the end. But it's time to head back to the car and go find some dinner.

Thanks RedVikingX, for the clever cache, the series, and the adventure.
Cheers, EPs.

In the area on another mission and having Geo Kid E with me we decided to have a go at this cache. Arrived at the parking spot to find Goose and SSR with the cache in there car trying to solve it. Apparently, they had been there 40 minutes.

After chatting for a while and Geo Kid E on the job, we got level 2 completed. I spotted a couple of people walking towards the GZ. I watched carefully and noted they stop at the GZ. Ok I wandered over to let them know we have it in the car. It was gabyandkatie who came back as we started on level 3. during our chat we opened the last level and everyone signed the log. SSR had the honour of putting it back together, and gabyandkatie returned the cache to the holder.

TFTC. Great to meet gabyandkatie at the cache

Favourite point given

This was a second visit by stainless steel rat and I, after meeting the CO last time as he was taking the cache away for repairs.
We sat in the sun for a while but it was cold in the breeze so we moved back to the warmth of the car. Budgietas and entourage turned up just as we had the first step sorted, so then we had a team taking turns.
A few other cars, and groups of kids came and went and then another car parked and two likely caching suspects wandered of toward GZ. Budgie stalked (er followed) them and once he knew they were geocachers, let them know we had the cache in the car. They came back and joined the crowd and we were lucky to meet gabyandkatie Cool
All up we were there around an hour (twice as long as it took to do the other 3 combined) but did eventually sign the log.
Thanks for a great series RedVikingX,. I've awarded a fav point to all 4 of them.

Last time we were here we were thwarted by the CO taking it away to fix it, this week it was just our good selves to blame and 4 other cachers Big Grin
We turned up full of overconfidence and after sitting in the cold for 10 minutes we went and sat in the car to carry on with this field puzzle, it was just as we made our first step of progress that Budgies mob turned up so in place myself and Goose having a go it was now four of use, a car pulled up and after a moment we guessed they were also cachers so budgie went to have a chat and fetch them, in the end it was a crowd of six geocachers, I was starting to wonder if I could sell tickets if anymore turned up!

In the end the job was done and all our names were added to the log, I think it took us an hour maybe a little less, another fav point for this one.

Nice to meet a new caching team gabyandkatie.

Just a bit of local caching today to clean up a couple as the Goose had plans for the arvo, but a great day for caching all the same.

Thanks for the cache.

Gooseandegg and budgietas had found this cache at the same time
Thankyou for cracking this difficulty cache for us
It was a pleasure meeting you!

We still had a bit of time in between appointments after completing #3, so wandered along to this cache in the hope that it wouldn't take toooo long to do.
Something different again..but unfortunately time got the better of us and we had to retreat unsuccessful.
We will be back

We had to be up early for an appointment in the city then we were meeting the daughter and grandchildren in Lauderdale to get some supplies for the weekend. After a coffee we went our separate ways.

Had seen these 4 caches and not quite the right timing to find them until today. With some nice weather we decided to tackle these field puzzles and after reading some logs, we decided to start with #1 and work our way up the difficulties, however, number one seem to take ages…..even struggled to close it after signing the log!

We weren’t looking forward to this one! We used the seat nearby as we thought it may take awhile to open. We were doing so well but it probably took us about 15 minutes on the last small bit, so close yet so far away!!!

Well done and thanks for the challenge.
Favourite for the series

This was a nice area to stroll around whilst listening to the birds. The field puzzles were very well constructed. Thanks for your effort in building these caches and thanks for the series.

Due to a breakage

Circle back to this one at 11:44:00 to see if it had been replaced but alas no, all up it's only taken us 29 minutes to visit all 4 locations, we will have to return to this one when it is replaced.

All this series are worth a fav point for the hard work put in.

Looking forward to returning for the last one

*FTF* OMG eventually @ 9.40 am. Well done on a great series of hides in this lovely reserve. Luckily we had the perfect tools with us - the grandsons who made us look inconspicuous while standing in the one place so long. Finally Mr W went off with a couple of them to the next 3 hides, opened 2 easily but had to return to one before returning to Mrs W who was still trying to sort out the first puzzle. Mr W managed to retrieve the log on his return 1 hour and twenty minutes after first starting. Mr W solved all 4 even though one of the grandsons opened one but put it back together before he signed the log, so Mr W to the rescue. Thanks for the first to find coins. These 3D printers are amazing. TFTC Deserves a favourite.

After dropping off my Brother and Sis-in-law at the airport for their 2 week Adelaide visit, i decided to swing by these new 4 hides on my way back.
I started from Pink through to Purple before the All-Day-Drizzle started around 12:30pm.

Quickly found the hide and managed to access the log within 20 minutes. I have developed a "Patience" in attempting these and it has paid off... kind of ha ha Big Grin
This one was easy to start with then i hit a wall [:o] The lionshare of the 20 minutes spent here was on part 2 then i managed to get moving again.

The 'Path To Madness' indeed! Madness was trying to burgle my wee-blue-birdy brain like a borer-worm here but i held my nerve and again i was 'In' and signing the log at 12:04 on Wednesday 12 April 2023.

TFTC RedVikingX and for more brain-torture. I nearly turned 'Purple' here with part 2 of this one but a mental disaster was averted.
No Muggles were about today which was welcomed.
Replaced the puzzle and the cache as found and was on my way home all 'chuffed-as-bro' for managing to solve all 4 puzzles with no loss of blue-birdy feathers in frustration lol.

(A cool series of puzzle caches and well made too. I look forward to more Wink)
