Quick find here today on the way to the Archey range. All in good order, sign log book as **taybee (** *joint sign* **TB/NZ** or **taybee / nz )** TFTC Cache was found at **20/11/2024 @ 16:00:59**
Cache had been assembled incorrectly (seriously, why would anyone do that?) which is why the log has fallen out and got lost.I have removed the cache to see if it can be resurrected - it is very rusty - and will have it or a replacement in place tomorrow.
Found it after navigating a bit to the real spot. Major muggle area so stealth is necessary. Cache no longer has a log book and a cap to keep it enclosed
A great little cache and easy to find with Geeves90. Even meet a new cacher, shared some tips.TFTC
Out picking up a few things from my favorite place, Mitre10 & noticed a cache close by. Couldn't go home without finding this one. Nice quick find. Nice container but log was soaking wet and full. Message & photo sent to CO TFTC.
First find after a DNF and a did not bother (wet/distance/access). All good here after a walk from the other side of the bridge.I have a couple of days of meetings scheduled for Weds/Thurs this week down in Wellington and headed down mid-afternoon on Tuesday. There was some shonky weather forecast and I wanted to get into the accommodation before that arrived (I did) and maybe grab a couple of on the way caches as I headed South. The next day I had to change plans as first day meeting was off so had to do some remote work in a new location. A weather window of promised atrocious weather beckoned and I seized with two wet hands and a couple of late afternoon finds before catching up with my daughter later in the day at Brewtown. Thanks to all COs.
We were down on Lower Hutt for a couple of days and today went over to petone on our way home and i persuaded hubby to stop - yet again - to locate a cache as we sort of past. He is almost - after 16 years of it _ resigned to it with out much of a grumble well at least for the first one or two - so this was as we past . the hint made the hunt area so much smaller and we soon had this cache in hand . all was well with the cache and it was signed and replaced as found thank you for this tricky hide .
I wanted the cache to be in a slightly different place, but when it wasn't I moved over to the place where it actually was hidden. TFTC.
An easy first find for our first time geocaching. Might need to keep some tweezers in my car. Lots of broken glass on the ground so might need to be careful with young kids
Found on the ground and container jammed shut. Had right fluid( not beer or wine) in the car plus two implements and a sharp extractor to for the log. Spray. Twist and twinkle and all was revealed. Signed and replaced in what we assume was the right position. Tftcsl
What great camo and what a great series. Im hoping for 24 more!Extraction can be a little tricky, but got it out in the end. TFTC
Visiting from the US near geocaching HQ. We are staying in Lower Hutt for a few days. Yesterday we went and found GC46.Woke up early today and got in his caching before the wife was ready to face the world. Thanks for the hides.
A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are on the road again, up "North" to visit family an friends. Today was a bit of a cruise around Lower Hutt, in fine and sunny weather. Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
Loving this series of caches. Eventually found after i tested other potential locations.I forgot tweezers and couldn't get the log out. Will return another time to sign the cache.TFTC
As I was in Petone for a dinner event today, I decided to grab a few of this CO’s A to Z series beforehand. Unfortunately, due to another commitment after work, I wasn’t able to get to the area as early as I’d hoped, but did have time for three of the series.
Found this one after a little bit of searching. The log is full so I squeezed my name in a margin sideways. I didn’t have a spare log with me unfortunately.
Thanks LL113 for these caches!

Nice to be out and about with tmann421 again finding caches.
We are a little slower (post hospital stay) but managed to achieve some good finds.
Thanks to the cache owners for the hides.
Log signed and container returned.

Nice cache found with woolwood9.
Pleasant time spent getting some finds between the Hutt and Petone.
*Soon had the container located here!*
SL Thanks for the reason to visit the area.
Cache found with totally packed logsheet - been full for a while now.

Out and about picking up a few caches after the nearby event.
No problems with parking or muggles at this time of night, so it was a quick and straight forward find.
Thanks for setting this up

Another quick find here. I love the idea for the series. I don't think we could do it back in Nelson, cache real estate doesnt stay empty for long. Thanks for placing LL113

Now onto our third in the series and getting the hang of the for .... so trying to guess. Paddle Chick was onto this one before I gave it much thought. The log is full and it was too far back to the car to get a replacement. TFTC # 19,813
Tonight- c is for Chilly! Once I grabbed the pesky little blighter, I scurried back to the car to I could extract the log and sign it in the warmth. Log now pretty full - think I took the las proper space. TFTC.
Out in the Hutt grabbing a few caches. This one was a quick grab, walk away, sign, walk back and replace. Thanks for the cache.
I can claim this one without help from Mr M5! Once the search area was narrowed down, it was an easy find in a busy area. TFTC
#14,609. Park, walk and grab on Cuba Street in Petone, Lower Hutt. Fortunately, the GZ was pretty quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*
No worries here. No one about at the time of my visit. This made for a very quick find. TFTC
We quickly found the cache and then had to master a plan to get it stealthily. Luckily the bus came and there were less muggles
Muggles at the bus stop across the road meant we needed to get a little creative in both collecting and returning this one. Glad we could spot from a distance to develop some strategy! Tftc
I'm back. Again. This is hte third time I have been here! And no, not one was a DNF.
Time number one was a few days after publish, I arrived with YetiNZ and TwigNZ, but decide not to add my name to the log.. That was probably because this is a nice close cache to home and I was still working a streak. Not long ago I was back. I had the log out, and indeed I thought I had signed it, but I saw this afternoon it was still unfound. Had I forgotten to log it? It wold have been for the reason I came today - working on yet another of my many and varied calendar projects, this time getting my calendar up to ten a day of non-lab caches. I checked my stats at GZ - no, there are no mussed ten-day dates. Did I just dream it?
I opened the cache and retrieved the log using the the flick-and-lose-it technique. I put my ear to the ground, closed my upper eye and scanned the ground looking for a bump. Yep, there it is. My, that flew a long way! Checked the log. I don't see my name. But I am utterly convinced I have signed it. So I signed it again and wrapped it all back to gether. By the way, the log is over 3/4 full, so space for ... jeepers! 31 finds already! ... maybe another 8 logs.
Right. Stats to date:
Ten days: now just 11 remaining.
Others: 4 to go
Multis : 53 to go. Yeah, that's going to take a while!

(# 7952) Woke up very early and couldn't go back to sleep so I decided to grab my daily cache at the ridiculously early time of 0526 hrs. What helped in my decision making was that I would have struggled to get the cache in the evening as I had something on. As the area was very clear, including traffic, it was a very quick find. Pleased I came with tweezers so getting the log out was no problem. Back home for some breakfast before heading to work. Thanks for bringing me here.
Surprisingly challenging find, and it was a Nightmare to get the log out. Definitely bring tweezers. I had to use a very thin stick in the end. Tftc!
I was out caching with NZ_B today to find some caches for the solstice challenge starting today. She already had this one but since we were passing pulled over to allow me to find it. It was a classic case of trying to hurry and flicking the cache a little to vigorously - luckily I could see exactly here the log flew to and was a quick retrieve to sign and return. Luvin this series thank you LL113.
#2474. C is for … Claimed it!! I was having a Coffee down the road, so Couldn’t resist the Chance to Claim this one, my first one of this A-Z series. Nice park n grab on a sunny but chilly Hutt Valley morning.
Tftc LL113. And the interesting and entertaining background story of Cuba Street. FP for my first find of this series, as I said.

Once at GZ was pretty obvious when my fingers touched it. Always a nice container and hope it lasts over here. Thanks for the cache. Didn't have time to do any more and headed off for the day...
This was the third of three finds in this series in a short after work caching adventure. I didn't know what I was looking for but I, uncharacteristically, immediately saw something worth checking out. I have seen this type of hide used in places where it doesn't add any quality to the overall caching experience but it is entirely appropriate here. To keep surprises intact, I generally don't read cache descriptions or logs until later (or at least until I have tried to find the cache) so I didn't know tweezers would be useful (essential to me). Luckily, I had parked close by so I could quickly go back to grab what I should carry on me anyway.
It's pleasing to have made a solid start on this series with three varied hides. I look forward to seeing what else lies in store for me.

Talla64 and I are out and about today finding caches in this series and a couple of other ones also. I'm trying for the Wheel of Challenges Souvenir, although I vaguely remember saying, some time ago, that I wasn't going for anymore souvenirs. Well, I did mean it at the time! I'm pleased to say we were successful with the A-Z series of Lower Hutt that we attempted. Thank you very much for the caches LL113. We had a nice drive on a fairly sunny day.
Out and about with Flowerydaze doing the A-Z of Lower Hutt series and some others which happened to be close by. Interesting concept. Thanks for the caches LL113
A quick and easy find on an afternoon walk by doing a small detour on the way to Mitre10.
Thanks for this series.

A wet night in Lower Hutt. Was able to park close by, spotted the hide from across the street. Grabbed, and retreated to the geomobile to extract the log and sign. All good, returned as found. Looking forward to a hot drink when I get home. Tftc!
By complete coincidence I happened to find A, B and C today. B was at lunchtime and A and C a short walk apart in the early evening. When I first came here my first thought was "are you kidding me?". There were muggles in various places loitering so I left and came back a bit later. Not too bad now so swooped in for a search. Quickly spotted something that wasn't right and was pleased to have found the cache. Seems a very exposed location for such a tricky hide and I wouldn't dream making finders search here. But that's me. I went back to the car not too far away to sign the log just so I didn't have to stand on the street somewhere. There were no issues extracting the log which came out with a couple of taps and no tool required. No problem returning the cache despite some traffic. From here I walked over the bridge to try and find the one in Alicetown. TFTC. Glad I found that on the first attempt.
Having not long arrived home from a fishing expedition with TrinityNZ, Matagouri, the Seagnoid and YetiNZ at Whenua Tapu cemetery, tS suddenly shouts out that there's a new cache been published. So I snatched up my car keys and he and I headed out of the door.
Once we had found that one, Yeti says he wants to find this one. I hadn't even noticed this one get published over the weekend lol! How am I supposed to clear out Lower Hutt if new caches keep getting published eh??? :p
I made the find here tonight, although that was just by random chance with 3 pairs of eyes looking for it. No issues to report with this one. Thank you for setting this one up LL113

D, G, A, E, B, Q, and now C. I wonder if there is a puzzle coming in the future based on the order these were published in?
I've had a busy night, first I went tree fishing up past Plimmerton, then out to Lower Hutt for the latest in this alphabet series. And since I was now out and about in 'the Valley' I thought I'd go grab another couple just to keep on top of them. A couple of lifetimes ago I was employed down the end of this little street, ahh the memories.
No problem finding the cache here as the coordinates were spot on and after quickly eliminating the spots where the cache was not, it was found exactly where it was.
---
Thanks to LL113 for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Fast] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

Called here this morning, found the cache quickly iin the second location checked. I was able to get the logstrip out without having to return to the vehicle for tweezers. Definitely a busy spot, fortunately I was close to the traffic for only a very short time. Signed log, TFTC
Another cache close to home! Took the opportunity to hop on the bus after work and pick up a fresh cache. Tftc
As I discovered yesterday thanks to a new challenge cache published up North, today is a traditional dot-day, so made it a mission to pop out and grab one.
After being disappointed at not finding Alice, I moved down to here where it was a much more straightforward find. Didn't have tweezers myself, but I do have a tiny screwdriver that I think was a Christmas Cracker token that did the job perfectly. Signed and replaced. All good here, and TFTC (and looking forward to picking up the rest of the series as it comes out).

#12,884. Finally after a few DNF's I found this one. Haven't picked up one of this type for some time. Nicely placed in a busy spot. The log was too tight to extract so took it back to the car where I did have tweezers luckily. Signed the log and replaced as found. The traffic in this area is rather busy and I had to drive north as there was no possibility of doing a U-turn here. Thanks LL113 for the fun cache,
{FTF}. Found at 12:13 PM on 12 May 2023. Wow, that was a quick find. Now I will go back to the supermarket in Petone and see if the few things I was buying are still on the shelf I hid them on - no time to go through the checkout and pay for them. This is the second time I have been at a supermarket (last time was the same brand but in Wellington) when a cache has been published!!!
I am enjoying this series -especially seeing where the GZs are. Favourite given.
I am using this cache for the Fast to Find module of the [GC30AD8](http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC30AD8) DGSC Challenge (West Coast).
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache LL113.

A quick easy find but log very tightly stuck in and I could not extract even with TOTT.
Gave up as my efforts damaged the log.
I have a photo of the cache as proof of find.

Swung by the cache, thanks Robnzh for the heads up. I think I’ve corrected the issue now by making the log shorter. It’s now easier to get tweezers in without damaging the log. Happy for you to log the find.
Loving this A-Z series, its making my daily streak challenge easy. All good here, log sitting nicely in its container - was easy to retrieve with tott. Murphy's Law picked the busiest time of day to grab this one, car queues pausing right a gz! Love this type of cache, a "favourite" point from me. TFTC LL113
