Early morning stroll along the foreshore to this cache. Having read the previous log and the maintenance, decided to focus more on the hint than coordinates, which proved to be the right thing to do. Found fairly quickly - I was showing 10m out at the time. Thanks ThatDarnBear#1218

19-Oct-24
Parked up beach side to grab a couple caches. I forgot my hat and sunblock as it was fairly cloudy in the morning. Hopefully no cancerous skin cells touch wood. Coordinates a little out but a quick find after seeing the hint. TFTC! First name in the temporary cache. Does this count as a FTF? Haha

10-Oct-24
Good to go again.

10-Oct-24
Thanks to The Seagnoid "I is for..." is good to go again in a new, but close to the original, location. Hint updated for the new location. Please be stealthy while the works are going on. Maybe best for weekends or after work hours.

Proxy maintenance: temporary cache installed, while works still ongoing. Sorry about the delay.

Cache currently disabled due to work being done in the area. Thanks gpetone for retrieving the cache before it got destroyed. Will look at how to replace this hide once the area has been completed.

I failed with this one first time around a wholemago, but we've had a few more successes of this type of cache so found it instantly this time and walked straight to it! Feeling vindicated to turn this frown upside down TFTC.

Last cache of the day and I'd missed the hide on first pass. On return I widened my search radius and spotted the hide, nice hint, and nice mural too. I PAF'd t S but luckily found it without his help. Go me!Down visiting our youngest daughter who has just bought her first home with her partner. We have some of her stuff in our garage so nice to help her regain her stuff whilst enjoying the new scenery. After some time I wanted to head to Petone to complete some unfinished business so dropped the girls at the Mall and a couple of hours on some trails. Thanks to the COs for their hides.

#2783. I is for Ingenious!I was in Petone for a coffee date this morning, so thought it was time I got a few of my unfound caches in the area. This was the last of 3. After my initial search proved cache-less, I looked around and used some cache-sense to come to the conclusion as to where the cache is.This is my 12th find in the series. Slowly getting there! Thanks for cache, ThatDarnBear.FP awarded as a token of all the work you put into this series, TDB, and to help the CQ (see below).1 unit of fuel for the Cosmic Quest, which still has 26 days to run.My total to date: 13Global Community total: 4,849,465

#14,542. I needed some extra cache finds on this date so came over to the Hutt Valley to top up the numbers. I have driven past this one so many times and decided just had to stop here today. Wandered down to GZ and had a good hunt around. Where could it be? Finally a bit more attention to detail and spotted something I had overlooked for a few minutes. Obvious once seen but that is always the case. Soon had cache in hand. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks ThatDarnBear for hiding it here.

I am working a couple of dot-day challenges, and today isn't one of them. Today is a nine-day and I am trying to get every date of the calendar up to 10 caches, excluding labs. I still have a number of caches between work and home, any one would do, but it's a nice day today and so I thought I would go for a walk. First stop - to T7 to invite a friend to come along for a walk. The roller door is open but alas, no, she not there SadLot's of upheaval on the way to GZ. Some of it is in relation to the new cycleway to Wellington, but some seems to be other things - a big revamp of a car park, for one. Hmm - maybe that is in relation to the cycleway too?Anyhoo, at last I get to the shade and the cache is a nice easy find, Another A-Z down, only a heap more to do. I don't know. Eight? Maybe?Another 9-day knocked on its head. Only one to go! And that is when I am in Austalia, so that's going to be a doddle. Leaving for Aussie tomorrow...

Got the hint after finding it... HahaI'd say you need a fish-eye view for this one.TFTC!

26-Jan-24
Walked down here from the bus stop on a deliriously hot day a couple days ago. Took me a moment but I got there in the end. Clever hint. TFTC!

02-Jan-24
Great hint with artwork! Took a little bit of thinking to decipher this one.Tftc

02-Jan-24
Initially misinterpreted the clue, but thanks to the extra hint from @queenontheriver, we soon had the cache in hand. A lovely day for a ride along the new cycle path from Petone to Melling. TFTC

18-Dec-23
A fun find, quickly found. I do feel a bit sorry for the previous cacher as it would be a tricky one to locate with only a couple of finds under your belt. TFTC

13-Nov-23
I've been trying to up my finds each calendar day to at least 4 in order to finish qualifying for a Challenge Cache I found recently in Nelson. That meant that I needed to find 2 caches this evening after work. I really don't have that many left around where I live, but I took a drive out here to see if I could find this one.I thought I had the place to myself as I got to GZ, but then spotted a bloke sitting in his car nearby smoking, so had to wait for him to bugger off before I could have a proper search. It was actually a quick find here, and with no issues I was able to add my name to the log and replace as found. Thanks for setting this one up. The posters are all painted over in grey at the moment, and I'm not sure whether that's an improvement or not Smile

Loved the hiding spot! TFTC

22-Oct-23
On a late afternoon Caching Mission. Found this in despite the freedom camper under the bridge

13-Oct-23
Needed this for a dot day - what a neat wee urban hide. Loved the fishy mural that prominently marks the park entrance. Was able to park close by so made for a quick park and grab. A favourite point from me. TFTC ThatDarnBear (aka LL113).

Took the opportunity to have another go at this after finding the new multi in the area.

A pleasant stroll from there, the threatened wind and rain had not yet arrived and it was pretty well dead calm. Interesting to take a look at how the works are going. The only downside was the number of unleashed dogs on the walkway, I am always wary of them after having twice had unprovoked (fortunately minor) bites elsewhere but all OK today.

All quiet though in the GZ area.

I had realised after my previous DNF where the cache might be (I didn't think of interpreting the hint that way at the time of the previous visit), and GPS confirmed my suspicions this time so a quick find.

Log is full, I managed to squeeze an entry sideways next to an existing one.

TFTC.

19-Aug-23
This geocacher reported that the logbook is full.

02-Aug-23
Flowerydaze and I travelled down from kapiti to attend bruzie's August Happening in Petone on a particularly cold, windy and rainy day. Not wanting to only attend one event we decided to add in some caches from the A-Z of Lower Hutt. The wind was at its peak here, roaring in from the south and we huddled behind a wall to complete the log in shivering hand writing squeezed into the last space available on the sheet. TFTC LL113

02-Aug-23
A quick find using a bit of geosense. The log is unfortunately full but Talla64 signed us in a tiny space next to Mr. McGoo.

This is quite a busy spot with muggles passing through which surprised me. No workmen in view fortunately when Talla retrieved and replaced the cache.

We had targeted 10 of this series today, and found 9 of them. I was pleased, because the weather was awful, blowing a gale and freezing cold, but we had a plan and we stuck to it. We visited some spots today that we did not know existed, and were rewarded at the end by bruzie's August happening event in Petone. Thanks for the cache LL113.

30-Jul-23
Papers full took us a while to find . Nice work

14-Jul-23
I meant to say in the log that the logbook is very short and almost full. Needs replacing very soon. Thanks.

13-Jul-23
A quick find this morning on a walk around to see progress on the revamp of Te Honiara Te Puni park. About my 4th visit but a rethink of the hint helped today.
TFTC

11-Jul-23
A favourite walking route of mine. Never stopped to looking at the art works before.

I do hope all the building works nearby produce something nice!

Thanks for all the work you have put into this series!

09-Jul-23
I've put all the caches in this series on my "series not complete" list - and because I've only found a couple it's grown unreasonably large. So my aim today was to knock off a fair chunk of them. Unfortunately the showers became persistent during the morning so I abandoned my trip after just four. This was a surprisingly quick find - the coordinates were spot on and there weren't too many hiding options. TFTC!

08-Jul-23
Tricky one - misinterpreted the clue

24-Jun-23
Quite a busy area these days with the building of the new shared pathway. After waiting to get a park I wandered over and after a couple of false starts found what I came looking for. TFTC

18-Jun-23
Out and about with Itchyfeet2020 having an easy morning of caching in an area we have not visited much.

Took a wee bit of time to find this cache as we misinterpreted the hint.

Kia ora rawa atu for the cache LL113.

18-Jun-23
Out caching with NZ_B today to find a few caches towards the new solstice challenge starting today. We found ourselves starting here. NZ_B had worked out the right access and got us nice and close to this one, from where we could admire the mural while searching. Soon cottoned on to the hide and had the little guy in our hands for signature. TFTC LL113.

(# 7942) Went out this evening to grab a cache. Took a smidgeon bit of finding. Would have been quicker if it was daylight. Thanks for bringing me here.

10-Jun-23
Fishing for inanga requires some thinking.

10-Jun-23
I was passing here this morning so stopped up the road and walked back along the pathway towards the cache. A place and artwork that I was totally unaware of despite having driven within metres of it numerous times. An absolutely instant find, it was easy to spot the odd one out and as well I had an idea of what sort of hide it might be and I was correct. Signed log, thanks for the cache and for introducing me to this spot!

05-Jun-23
As this was an area I was familiar with from past visits and activities, and from the observation of recent works being done, I knew that picking the right time to visit would be important. A public holiday, my first ever Kings Birthday celebration, seemd like a good choice. With the added benefit of the weather being absolutly rubbish, it was all quiet in the area when I arrived today and after a short search of the places the cache was not I soon found the place where it was. The log was singed and everything returned safe and well.

---
Thanks to LL113 for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.

[DGSc-Fast] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

05-Jun-23
A few of my recent find experiences helped me snag this one. Easy done as it was a miserable day and no muggles about to disturb the geohound and I. Tftc!

01-Jun-23
I found a good car park not far from where I understood this cache was hidden only to discover the cache was not on my GPSr - it was too new. I reverted to my phone which was telling me I was many hundreds of metres away. It took an annoying long time for it to reboot but I was then back on track with some sensible information. When my distance to go got down to very low numbers, I couldn't see anywhere obvious for a cache to be hidden. The hint then got some more thought and a lightbulb moment soon had me in possession pf precious. Very nicely done.

01-Jun-23
I'd only recently been here for the first time on the way to a Seagnoid cache so it was useful to be completely familiar with how to get here. I looked around for several minutes without success, looked at the hint, more lack of success before wondering about the unusual nature of the hint. Then I realized what it meant and the cache was then found. A nice bright light is nearby to sign under (it's pretty dark by the cache at night). I realized that a moment's carelessness could be bad for the cache's wellbeing so I took extra care when replacing to make sure it was in the correct place before letting go of it. Not caught up with the series yet but getting there. TFTC.

31-May-23
Seen the mural from a distance many times when passing on trains.

GPS couldn't make its mind up which side of the path the cache was on, so I searched everywhere I could think of on both sides that fitted the hint but no success.

30-May-23
Who doesn't love a lunch time cache? Poked around for a little while then had an aha! moment. Log signed, then back to work. Tftc

30-May-23
Took a while to hunt for it in the dark, but I eventually got my hands on it when I checked a certain object. Signed and replaced and cleared off one of my few remaining traditional dot-days. All good here, and TFTC.

28-May-23
Did with Crystal Fairy.

28-May-23
Parked not too far away from here. There is a lot of work going on near here and the road is very narrow. Took a few minutes to spot the likely spot and found it easily. Carefully placed it back . Thanks for the cache..

28-May-23
Tricky. Tftc
