Logs
We came here to book a boat trip before heading off to find the cache. As we walked away we suddenly realised that the cache was right where we'd been! A quick turn around and we asked the two ladies about what we were looking for but they had no idea. Mrs Herbz went inside and quickly spotted the cache on the shelf. Pointing it out, the two ladies were amazed, they had absolutely no idea it was there. We then explained to them all about geocaching. TFTC
No one home at the shop, but saw the box on the shelf so slipped in and signed it. Hopefully that's okay.
Found with JaffaJ while on the island for the Keppel Sea Kayak Symposium. The Shak attendant had been briefed that someone might ask for the cache, but it had not happened in the months she had worked there. She quickly found and shared the container, and the log was signed. Retrieved Toad Airstream trackable to help it on its way. Magical location. TFTC
Fun! The gal at the blue shack knew exactly what I was talking about when I said the word geocaching. She passed me the letterbox, I signed and hopped on the ferry. Ive never had a cache literally handed to me. TFTLB!
TFTCThe people in the hut had no idea what i was on about but I was able to spot it based on photos of it I'd seen on here. I am curious how long this will stay here as it seems like they really didn't like having it there.
First time we ever had anything handed to us! Definitely recommend this to there geocachers when they come to Great Keppel Island!
Not sure how we missed noticing that this cache was here when we visited on the northern part of our sailing journey along the Qld coast in May but luckily we were able to make a return visit on the way back. Anchored around at Shelving Beach as it was too crowded at Fisherman's Beach today. Came ashore for happy hour to catch up with some other boatie friends. Stopped at the dive shop to ask about the cache. Sure enough the guy knew what I was talking about and handed the tin over. Easiest find ever! No search required... 3673 @ 1535hTFTC Pprime
Quick find as I read the hint. The people in the shack are super friendly and got information about the diving. Tftc
First time I have ever had one handed to me Such a Lovely island spent the day at the beach in the water. I was surprised the water was cold. Warner than Victoria but I would of liked it a bit warmer but O well. Still an amazing islandNext time will have to bring my walking gear and my own foodCafe food was okay but not the best .
My first letterbox cache visit with fellow geocachers: CodaWives, Crank1, Deafcaf, DeafSanta, DutchAus, Lance51 and Silence47.With TBs Canadian Flag, Dosenjger and Swiss Duck in tow.
Our vacation is slowly coming to an end. That's why we took a trip to Keppel Island today. After a questioning look, we received the object of desire and were able to register ourselves in the logbook.10.25 amTFTC # 3048
Great Keppel is a must if you're in the area. We were fortuate to have had the perfect weather, so the water was so clear and lovely and warm. Jack spotted a sting ray whilst we were snorkeling at Shelving Beach. We each had a monster burger at Tropical Vibes then went to drop off our snorkeling gear. The first person I said G'day! to had no idea about the geocache, so I had to find someone else. There was a girl clearing up scuba gear at the back and she know about it and fetched the conatainer. Signed the log, took the TB and was on my way.---Over a week ago we made a trip up to Yeppoon to visit family and some of the big things dotted around the state. On the way we stopped off at Noosa Heads (big pelican) and Maryborough before staying in Hervey Bay (big whales) for a couple of days to break up the journey. Whilst in Hervey Bay we went out on a glass bottomed boat and explored Big Woody Island and Round Island. Onwards again and we visited Childers, Gin Gin and got stuck in a crazy tailback a few kilometers from Miriam Vale (big crab, big donut and big Magpie). It would have been rude not to pick up a cache or two on our journey North. We visited Great Keppel and did some snorkeling (and Jack spotted a large sting ray), Emu Park to view the Singing Ship, Rockhampton (big bulls) to visit the zoo (which I wasn't too keen on) and just about every restaurant and coffee shop in Yeppoon. It's a lovely part of the world. On the way back home (boo) we visited the caves at Cania Gorge and stayed overnight at the retreat and then on to the Three Moons Silo Mural, Gayndah (big orange) and then onto the Bruce and straight back home.Thanks!!#3503
Just arrived at Great Keppel Island and headed straight to GZ where the cache was handed to us by dive shop operator. TFTC. Found with Dora the Explorer!
Successfully reached the island dive centre and located this hidden gem of a geocache! The scenic journey was worth it. Left a trackable. Remember, life's an adventure – dive in!"
Had a lovely chat with dive shop worker. Wrote on the tin so no employees threw it out. TFTC

Dagje Great Keppel Island. Deze locatie gevonden. Maar niemand achter de toog kon de letterbox zelf geven !!
Not a FTF, was part of the crew placing this. Great guys at the dive shop here, a couple of them are occasionally adhoc cachers themselves and loved the idea of an easy find cache on the island. So we obliged. Such a lovely island, well worth a relaxing daytrip.

Visiting Great Keppel when this one was placed here to thank Diver Dick for his awesome help. Say G’Day to him when you visit.
One of the lads working there at the time was also a cacher from a while back and hadn’t even thought of checking to see if there were caches on Great Keppel.
Thanks for the cache H0M3Mob.

Ruzzelz, 1MinnieMoo, Pprime, Mrs Just a Trifle, Mr and Mrs Crew 153, and I were all on the island grabbing some caches.
Pprime came up with an idea of placing a letterbox here to be look after by someone on the island. Of course, it would be rude not to sign the log.
A great little island. TFTL Pprime
