Found with Muzza on a lovely day. There are some intriguing works nearby.

After the CITO this morning, Alansee, McLookers and I headed out for a day of caching. McLookers had already done this one and headed off back to her motel, so it was just Alansee and I this time. Found the cache and managed to retrieve and return it with just a little trouble. Many thanks to Sims_family for the cache.

An early morning drive and a catch up with a good friend to do some caching around the area. The weather was perfect and we even had a little water fun to grab a couple of caches. This is one of the caches found today. An easy retrieval on this one. Thanks Sims_family for the cache.

28-Sep-24
Following the nearby Cito it was time for some caching shenanigans...this was one of the caches on the hitlist that we stopped to find on this glorious spring day while many a muggle were obsessing over the football. This was was the easiest of the twitcher lot to find by far..it was also a swift retrieval with my trident even with all the tape holding it together.

Found by caughtatwork on 04/08/2024 at 8:49:00 AMI brought my squid pole to this location and this was an easy find with such a tool in hand. Great area for a chilly morning walk.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1

This newish type of hide had Na'wal and myself intrigued, so an order was put in for some equipment that would make the job easier. Once that arrived, we couldn't wait to try our skills at fishing without water !! We were a little bit worried here, as there was a couple having lunch at the nearby shelter. Thankfully the placement was out of way of any prying eyes. Glad to have the first one in the series. TFTC Sims_family

DAB and I met up for a couple of midweek caches. He had been wanting to extend his shaft for some time and once his package arrived it was time for us to go and use it. We were impressed with his tool and made quick work of grabbing the first bird in this series. Thanks for placing this for us to find.

Out finding some Victorian cache of the Year nominees, this series was first on our list after having come down once before without the required TOTT. Today was different, we had a mission and, even though the wind played havoc, we persisted to log these beauties Thanks Sims_family for contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy.

What an awesome series these caches are. A cat likes nothing better than hunting down little birdies for her master.dalerious and I were sure to place these twitching good time caches on our bulging Geelong list, and we came armed to the teeth with all the tools to get the job done.Swimmer's for the hamfish event, check!Say g'day to the CO of this series at the hamfish event, sadly no. Hope you are feeling better, E Big Grin.Squid Pole, check!Claws so the little buggers don't fly away, check!Remove collar with bell so I don't alert our feathered friends that we are on the prowl, check! Can't wait to get back and hunt down the 2 that flew away. Many thanks for allowing us to sign the bonus today.Keep on Twitching Sims_family Big Grin.

Found fishing for twitches with a cat on the end of a stick. TwistedWhen catnap777 and I blew into town with brand new togs and a brand new squid pole, our main mission this weekend was to swim to and attend the hamfish's T4 event on the central platform inside the Eastern Beach Swimming Enclosure. Cool Out next target was anything that needed the more specialist TOTT we had brought along with us. RazzThis one (only) was not found at the right altitude. Surprised It was our first in the series so we were not sure where it was supposed to be. [8)] After signing, we returned the brilliant container exactly as found, which was not on the ground, but our TOTT was definately not needed and a maintenance run eventually will be. If we had known what we know now, we certainly would have tried to help out the CO from GZ. Red FaceTFTC Sims_family Big Grin and sorry to have missed you at the event. [B)]

The morning was set aside for some tidying up of the local map and with the borrowing of a critical tool we decided to head off tree fishing. This was our first stop and let us get the hang of how it all works. Luckily there wasn't a crowd for our first attempts! Cache retrieved, clue noted and then off to the next one. TFTC

After the CITO of the Geelong Christmas events a group foray was made to locate this lofty treasure for our names to be added to the log therein. Thanks Sims_family for the entertainment and KBucky for your chauffeuring services this afternoon.

Twitt twitter twitch - kbucky and I did plenty of neck craning twitching today after we made a new plan (read spontaneous decision) to go twitching for the fabulous Twitch Colour series. Luckily good humour and a very very long twitchers pole accompanied us playing I spy on our tour of Geelong. I mostly provided encouragement and cheered on Kbucky who is getting quite adept at retrieving and then replacing those gems that belong up there. Being a Sunday arvo, I think we were pleased not to garner too much attention. We loved the array of gorgeous colours and then had great fun anticipating the colour codes for each twittering number. THANKS galore to the Sims_family for adding such joy and fun to this game. A big fat FAVE from me for all that!

A great group effort here with a decent pole. Thanks for the cache.

03-Dec-23
Didn't need to use the GPS for this one due to assisting Sims_family installing this colourful beast! It had moved from its previous nesting point so we placed it back where it belongs. Thanks for the cache Smile

02-Dec-23
In G town today to attend the inaugural lunch event, CITO and some targeted caches along the way. Had the opportunity to give a fishing pole a go for the first time and enjoyed catching this little one. We have our own set up but haven't used this before so was a good opportunity. Donutholes confirmed the cache wasn't t in the right spot so we placed back where it needed to be. Thanks Sims_family for the experience.

02-Dec-23
After nearby CITO a few of us got twitchy and set out to find a bird. We were chatting so much we walked right past! A quick retrieval and color noted. Great craft work on the pretty coloured cache. TFTC Sims_family, love your commitment to placing quality caches.

B & C decided to head out this morning and make the most of a loaner TOTT. Having collected many of these caches in Brisbane during the week (they are everywhere up there) we figured we may as well clean out Geelong while we can, kicking the can down the road for acquiring our own a bit.7 finds in total for the day, all up in the air and made it home just in time to get ready and head straight back out to Mt Duneed for Robbie Williams in what is expected to be rather unfriendly weather by the end of the night.A couple of muggles around but nobody really interested in what we were up to, its amazing how much less sinister you look with an 8yo in tow. Thanks to COs for placing these caches for us to find!

08-Nov-23
With the tool of the trade borrowed to me after a recent beach clean up by the CO, SharpHarp and I made our way to this colourful feathered friend. Finding it really easy, I was surprised at how quick we got the bird and put it back up, compared to the first tree fishing cache we didthank you Sims_Family for the series, cant wait until they are all back in placePika

Spotted this easily enough and my tool worked well on reaching it. Then it needed some thinking outside the box as my pole was not quite long enough to replace it safely back in position. Walked around to find something that made me taller and all was good.Noted the clue and walked back to the car. Thanks for the twitch colour here Sims_family

19-Sep-23
Took a second trip to realise that we had to reach it down. Luckily our company had some military knot skills which enabled us to cobble two sticks together to retrieve cache and code. Had no pen to fill in log.

Yep, higher than I thought.

26-Aug-23
After a nearby CITO event I joined a small group to do some twitching.
It was a surprise to miss the obvious with this specimen being so bright.

Log signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for the Traditional cache Sims_Family

All I'd planned for today was getting the train to Geelong North and helping out at the cleanup. Anything after that would be a bonus.

Well, this was the second in the company of feathertop, au.fait and AusFox; . With the equipment provided by my illustrious driver, a feathery friend was retrieved.

Thanks, Sims_family.

Found with maccamob and The Tritonz after the CITO this morning. The Tritonz had the magic touch. Great camo.

Thanks for the cache Sims_family

22-Jul-23
After leaving the nearby CITO it was arranged to complete the series in the company of McLookers and maccamob. The small walk was undertaken to gz where another birdie was freed for a short time, just long enough for everyone to sign the logbook.
Thanks Sims_family for the twitchy series placement.

We have extended our use of a particular TOTT by heading into Geelong to find this cache.

As the weather was somewhat ordinary, the area had no muggles, so we wandered towards GZ, marvelling at how many water birds were everywhere.

On arrival at GZ, we quickly spied the cache and retrieved it without too much fuss. We are becoming more adept at using this TOTT.

With the cache signed, we returned it to its spot and nestled it nicely for the next finder.

Thank you, Sims_family, for another great Traditional cache.

Suscoe had a delightful morning out with this Twitch Colour series.
Sunny and windy!! Loved the sun, could have done without the wind.
These cache containers are really well done and we must congratulate the Sims_family for the work done.
The locations were great and the hides were terrific.
Thanks to the Sims_family for this hide.
The ducks were quacking, joggers jogging and dog walkers having fun.
We had fun off the track looking and finding this one. The sun on the lagoon was so bright.
A favourite.

18-Jun-23

The ageing Bushfire has found a few of these new pole caches now but not having a fishing pole and not going to purchase one due to my health problems I must rely on generous friends who have one.
This was the case here as my very good friends the suscoe’s asked if I would like to accompany them to try and grab all in this new series placed by Sims _family, well you cannot knock back an offer like that.
Just as well Ross has a good set of arm muscles and a head that works better than mine, as today the wind caused a few problems, that others have found out as well as some of the containers are already showing signs of falls from a great height so that might be a problem in the future for these guys.
Maybe these birds must learn how to fly but time will tell. I must say that the hardest part is to locate the jolly cache in their leafy lofts.
Thanks to the Sims family for thinking up the idea and then making the containers which must be very time consuming and expensive.
I am running out of F. Ps but at least I have one for the first of these caches.
Thanks for the caches.

17-Jun-23
Found but not found. *sigh*

Took along some equipment for me to use but alas too short! Determined I set out to MacGyver my way to reaching. Now I’m just a fraction away. More MacGyvering and I can reach … but the wind was not my friend and there would have been no way to put the cache back!!

Thanks for this cache. Great hide! Will have to come back on a less windy day!

Peace, Tara
