As I walked toward the Coal Creek Waterfall I noted that this cache appeared in my gps as a POI - the previous 2 consecutive DNF's had tripped my gps filter and caused the gps not show the full cache details. But the limited data block that the POI displayed (coords, type, size, hint and user note) were enough to permit me to try for a find. That data was enough for me today. I re-hid the cache and left an 'obvious' rock on top. TFTC. Cheers.
We couldnt find it but later we noticed some rubbish been thrown and picked it up and realised it was this geocache! We have taken it back to the coordinates and hopefully hidden it well for others to find!
It was in a big clear jar with a blue lid and it was quite obvious where it was behind a big log. (Miss 7). TFTC
GPS had me go back and forward a couple of times, but soon spotted the right spot, TFTC
An almost instant find here for us. Still no more rain, keeping fingers crossed it stays that way. TFTC
Found on a five day geocaching road trip to the Nelson, Buller, and West Coast regions. We travelled many kms, by car bike and by foot and found many great caches and explored many areas. Thanks to the various CO's for the caches sites we visited that made our trip so great. Thank for the caches.
On a Week road trip to Nelson,Buller and Greymouth. lots of driving and walking, plus biking, lots of great caches many thank to all the CO"s - Bitsprayer
Seeing that the rain hasn't started yet this morning I decided to walk to the Coal Creek Falls locating and signing off the caches on the way.Enjoying the walk.Cheers for the cache, Gracie7 + Mum.
Whilst Dad was playing with the airtag, we quickly found that cache, nearly there, and eager to see more. Both container and logbook were in good condition.
I actually did this track just after the caches were published, but thinking I had already found all the caches I didn't check for new ones. I will have to settle for the third find. A drizzly day but still nice enough for a walk. No one else on the track today. Nice quick find. TFTC
FTF With Holymu. We felt like we had to come up for air which is a sign that some outdoors activity is called for with caching as objective. The prerequisites lined up beautifully. Coal Creek is one of our fav local walks, new caches had been published and the FTF was still up for grabs. What's not to like. On the return trip we met only three people so there was no muggle problem. Tree cover had us search a bit longer than expected as the GPS didn't like it and the hide was expertly camouflaged. Thank you gracie7 + Mum
FTF with Hazedarus.
We needed a walk today and being in native bush near water is where I relax best so a walk to Coal Creek Falls was the obvious answer, especially when there is new caches to be found.
Very few people about today so no problem with muggles. GPS not so accurate under the trees today so a bit of hunting before we found the cache.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum.
