(10103) There was a need to do a caching run today to keep my numbers up. Goal today are a couple of power trails. A quick find. Thanks Etherlord Clan for taking the time to place the cache and for bringing me here.
Its ANZAC day and father and I are up this way for the local event so we also decided to get 50 caches today so that I could be a step further towards my DGsc. A nice quick find here and off to the next one. TFTC
**taybee** is caching again with **taybee nz** Quick find here today after **the call the troops** event All in good order, sign log book as **taybee (** *joint sign* **TB's** or **taybee / nz )** TFTC Cache was found at **25/04/2024 @ 13:01:00**
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Today was about the numbers. Two handy trails provided an early, handy power jolt to our tallies**WoC Streak Star:** We regarded this particular challenge as being too difficult to complete. We managed to get the first souvenir and didnt bother to chase the rest - With not many local hides, we werent prepared to travel 100+ kilometres return to maintain a streak.Traffic was a little less frightening along Kairanga Bunnythorpe Road. We made a decision to tackle caches with the flow of traffic. Parking was definitely easier for us, with lots of safe parking. Most hides were in good order and straight forward finds. Thanks Etherlord Clan. TFTC.
todays mission was a couple of trails in the Manawatu.choose mostly direction to attack with caches mostly on our left side.seemed to work best with the better car parking on this side.no problem to locate caches and signTFTC
Maintenance visit on a day off from work.Logbook still has plenty of space, ready for the next finder

Cachehilsen fra Ellen Sch, NorgeMe and MrV sr have come down to Australia and New Zealand, -an old dream has finally come to an end. Team Eika and Ingsve have also traveled with us on this trip.We have been traveling cross-country for a month, and the goal is to end up in Adeleide and mega-event on the leap year. We have especially looked for old caches, to fill jasmer'n, for a couple of pieces, and for the other two of us who have started to think about reviewing more. The vast majority of them showed up at their places, sometimes we had to search a bit, but we were usually lucky in the end. There were also some DNFs.We have mostly logged in with the common nickname N4 (ingsve, Von sr. TeamEika and Ellen Sch), but our own nicknames are also used.A big thank you to all you CO's for laying out and maintaining your caches. Without their work, we would never have been able to make a living with this hobby.Always nice to have a new smiley face on the map.Cache greetings from Ellen Sch, Norway
Out on a geocache trip with Ellen Sch , Team Eika and ingsve on holiday in New Zealand, and today it was this area that was prioritized If nothing else is mentioned, we found the cache at good coordinates and it was fine To save space in the log, we often log in with the nickname N4 Many thanks to CO for laying out and maintaining this Greetings from Norway TFTCUte p en geocache-tur med Ellen Sch,Team Eika og ingsve p ferien i New Zealand og idag var det dette omrdet som ble prioritert Hvis ikke annet er nevnt s fant vi cachen p gode koordinater og den hadde det braFor spare plass i loggen logger vi ofte med nick N4Tusen takk til Til CO for utlegg og vedlikehold av denne Hilsen fra Norge TFTC
As a once in a lifetime holiday, this year we are traveling for 7 weeks to Vietnam, Bali, Australia and New Zealand. In Australia we meet Ellen Sch and MrVon sr and Ingsve to visit these last two countries, so here we cache together. We signed the log with N4. Now we have solved many caches so we have a large number of solved coordinates. But we are interested in all types of caches, so if you receive a log, it means that we have visited your cache. We haven't quite decided where we're going, but we'll probably let the weather decide for us. We want warmth because in Norway it is now freezing. We will stay for about 2 weeks in Australia and 2 weeks in New Zealand and we will end the trip with the Mega event in Adeleide on 29 February. So thank you very much to all of you who make it possible for us to travel around finding caches. On March 6, we set course for Norway again. There are extremely nice people everywhere and we are welcomed, we thank you very much. Thanks to our cache friends for good company on the trip.
A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are on the road again, up "North" to visit family an friends. Today was a bit of a cruise around Palmerston North, weather reasonable, good enough to get on my bike for a couple of hours caching!Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.

Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Found with Fisha1288 All nice and dryCheers, Cympull.
I haven't done that great at filling in dot days. Too busy, too lazy, too something. So I did me some talking to myself and after celebrating my birthday, I dropped off Junior and detoured home to find this gem. Here's hoping I can get December dots all filled in! Thanks Etherlord Clan.
A small group of us from Team SEAC consisting of Keylev, Stik-A-Crane, Uncle Sam and ourselves had come down from Auckland to spend the long weekend caching in the Manawatu area. The plan was to get as many as possible. Along the way we had some great adventures, many laughs, met some interesting people and found a wide selection of caches. Signed SEAC to save space on the log. TFTC.After a change of plans earlier in the day, we were not getting the numbers of caches we were hoping for so after a snack break we headed to this trail to build the numbers for the day. Nice quick finds for the whole trail.
Day 2 of our caching trip to Palmerston North area with HeMaLuDy, UncleSamNZ, Keylev, and myself, signing in as SEAC or TEAM SEAC to save logbook space. A big thanks to all the CO's for cache placement and maintenance, making this trip the success that it was.TFTC.
Day #2 of the Team SEAC extra long weekend little road trip for Labour Weekend. Thanks for the cache.

I got a message from mar1sa asking if I was keen to do this series, and jumped at the chance, since seeing this nice big trail on the map had been taunting me for a while. The roads did get busy with a little home time traffic at one stage, but that didn't last long. Most of the finds were very quick and straightforward. Thanks for setting this up and assisting the locals with there 'streak' challenge. Also a big thanks to mar1sa for a great afternoon's caching.
With a spot of good weather, I hit up rattll to grab these caches, I had about 15 of them but had been wanting to get the others, didnt take long to knock them off, thanks for placing these out for us all to enjoy.
We were heading into town today so it seemed like a good time to go and complete the WoC: Streak Star series. We had 10 still to do but two of those are disabled so will have to wait for another time. The remaining eight were all located without problems. As usual it was very busy with traffic rushing past but it was possible to pull off the road reasonably well at each cache and that was appreciated. We began during a fine, although still windy, spell but the rain was beginning again as we finished, just in time. So, having overshot this by selecting the wrong cache at first we stopped for this on the return journey. We liked the decent sized cache with its opportunities for swag and swaps - much more fun for junior cachers in particular. TFTC Etherlord Clan
Heading down to Levin for an event tomorrow and stopped in Palmy for the night. Rather a wet and miserable day so glad to have a straight forward trail to boost the numbers. Parked up the camper van at one end and got the bike out for some exercise. Managed 18 finds and 1 DNF. Always good to leave one for next time! Yeh right. All the caches and logs were fine and dry (at least before I got my wet hands on them) Thanks Etherlord for putting this trail in place and all the smileys that helped me get this months Wheel of Challenges - Teamwork souvenir. Straight forward
#13,485. A team outing in Barefootguru's electric car to grab some caches before attending an event in Waikanae this afternoon. Five of us squashed in - myself, BFG, bruzie, Crystal Fairy and Infoferret. As attaching seatbelts proved a challenge in the back seat we took turns of one person getting out to find the cache while the others watched on. Surprised how quickly we got around the loop. Sorry for the generic log but I am sure you understand these things happen on powertrails. Signed the log with team name of BC BIG or similar. Thanks Etherlord Clan for hiding it here. Cranking through the series. Roads were surprisingly busy today. Around the corner and onto the next straight.
Logging all these finds as BCBIG (Barefoot Guru, Crystal Fairy, Bruzie, Info Ferret and GSEL).
Sorry for the generic log, but all bar one or two were quick roadside finds. Thanks for placing these and helping with this months WoC challenge.

Enjoyable sunny day out with tmann421 collecting these caches.
Nice the drive around although the roads were quite busy despite avoiding what we thought would be the peak times.
Caches all in good condition.

Nice series of caches and reason for woolwood9 & I to come up this way.
Mostly quick easy finds here but the odd one was difficult for parking on the surprisingly busy roads or required a little searching.

Did the kids all get new lunchboxes by any chance, another good size cache, tftc Etherlord Clan
I watched these caches come out (both via email alert and Facebook posts by the CO) but soon realized I wouldn't 'First To Find' them so instead asked Capperz if he wanted to leave them all and find them later in the month - knowing he was overseas and also watching so many opportunities out of reach as a power trail grew.
After a check of our calendars this afternoon was chosen as the most opportune for both of us and a vague plan was formed.
This was a great trail with almost all caches being quick finds with good parking.

I'd watched these new listings pop out on a daily basis over the days of the last challenge, but was otherwise engaged in Northern Queensland living in a tent for just over 5 weeks for work reasons. I'd also discussed with tommygun9 about a sports afternoon visit at some point and decided my August find stats could do with a boost towards 4 figures and have made some inroads this month towards that target. So today we left base just after 3PM and had the (almost) loop completed just about 80 minutes later. tg9 drove and advised the hint(s) and I did the in/out/find/sign combo (mostly).
I took no notes around cache specifics but did appreciate the; variety of containers, similarity of some hints (welcome to the pleasuredome and don't dial and dig being the faves), alongside parking, straightness of the roads, and the quantity. Apologies Thomas for the repetitive logs but do know I appreciated each and every one of the 35 finds.
Cheers, and you've moved into my top 40 cache finds by owner stats

A very warm sunny winter's day today, always an encouragement to get out of the house and do some caching. So Talla64 and I set off from Kapiti to do this CO's WoC Streak Star power trail. We had no problems with any of the caches, all were in good order and were quickly found. In some there were lots of goodies to swap - great to keep the geokids interested. The paper logs were signed either FD/T64 or F/Daze Talla64 to save time and space on the logsheet. We had a most enjoyable day, but were surprised how very busy these roads were. We had taken the precaution of wearing our gumboots in case the grass was wet, and we were pleased we had done so, some areas were quite muddy. Sorry about the cut and paste logs. Thanks very much for setting up the power trail Etherlord Clan.
On a short trip to Palmy to find the power trail, WoC Streak Star. Not as a challenge but just for the fun of it. It might look like a country road but it was seriously busy with some very big trucks thundering past. Other than that it was a glorious day for winter and we enjoyed it. Some logs abbreviated to save space, F/D and T64 or similar. Thanks for the power trail Etherlord Clan.
I was able to collect a few of this series on my way home today. Didn’t get them all so will return another time to collect the rest.
A nice quick find and log/cache are in good order.

I headed up to Palmy today to do the "Streak Star" power trail. I started on Day 12, found all 35 and finished on Day 20. Not sure how that works in this day and age, but it did. Thanks for setting the trail up. Cheers and TFTC
We didn’t really attempt the streak so we waited till the end and find them all in one hit, so we could break our sad 19 caches in a day record. With the weather ready to dump down, and sun setting we had to be quick and prepared for each cache. At the end we ended up signing about 25 caches, which means this trail is done!
Very dark in there. Needed to bring the faulty light that only works if it’s in a good mood
I wrote in the log and placed the cache back as found. TFTCSL, Thanks Etherlord Clan for this Traditional cache.

A rarity! A buch of trees!!
I headed up to Palmy to do some cache maintenance and catch up with some friends. Thought I would tackle this series, and decided first thing in the morning is best - I didn't know how much further this series was going to go, but if I was in the vacinity when another cache is released... well, some good planning wouldn't hurt. So wil travellign the road and finding caches I checked the emails every half hour - and yes a new cache was realeased! And I was just one kilometre away from it! Nice!
I like this series. Lots of variety, in cache hides and in cache containers.
And three caches back in operation.

A complicated and convoluted series of events at work resulted in me being in Palmy on a Friday afternoon with a work ute and 2 hours of available daylight left in the day. It would seem like a shame to waste the chance to kick my August caching off
A power trail seemed like a really good way to use the time, especially as I would be seeing the CO this evening. There were 28 of these still available for me, and by now about 90 minutes of light left. I wasn't sure I would get them all (even though I did in the end) but started furthest away from the CO's house and just worked my way along the trail.
I apologise for the cut 'n' paste logging, but all caches were found in good to reasonable condition. A few had a bit of water inside from previous finders not ensuring the containers are replaced upright, but that didn't really affect anything. Surprisingly, some of the older logs will need replacing soon as they are getting a bit full, but no immediate issue there.
Another offering that was different from the majority. Excellent muggle-avoidance location too. Gets a FP.
Thanks for setting these up mate

With Pilates cancelled tomorrow morning and it bring a fine day I decided to drive to PN this afternoon to find more of the WoC series. I had great views of the snow on the Tararuas and after so many days of rain it was good to see the sun again and feel its warmth.

It's day twenty-seven of this months Wheel of Challenges challenge, the streak, and today I needed to find a cache. So once again I got up at ridiculous o'clock and cached my way up to Palmerston North through the sub-zero winter temperatures, with very careful planning to make my arrival time coincide with the earliest of the possible publish times of the daily WoC series that is appearing there (and once again it appeared an hour later than I was hoping). I also drove around Palmerston chasing down a variety of caches that were on my todo list. This was one of them.
This cache was part of the daily series. Having arrived here an hour earlier than I actually needed to gave me enough time to find all the previous ones in this series that I hadn't yet found. All were safe and well.
---
Thanks to Etherlord Clan for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.

7th of the day and this one that took the longest. I ended up entering twice as I didn't see a possible hiding spot the first time. TFTC.
Another Regular sized cache . Just sooo good ! this was the last for this mini trip out this way for today after finding the first to find with today ' s newly released cache .I went out and did some shopping and then as i needed a cache for today , for the streak , i hoped that perhaps the new one may be released when had finished the groceries and sure enough it was released at a perfect time for me , I then continued in the area and located this as well as a couple of others in the series not too far away . this was quickly located signed and replaced I took nothing and left nothing . Thank you for this new cache . Not quite as big as the previous one but still a treasure .
A quick find and a great cache!Wrote the log and re-concealed carefully.Gets a fave from me!TFTC!
Quick find after getting all my chores done... and this one is something special!! A big pull-over area and a lovely size cache full of treasure... Sadly I didn't come prepared for swaps, but this deserves a FP!
