Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. Staying in Jurien Bay for a couple of nights as we head to Perth for the wedding of the daughter of friends. Looked at this one before leaving SA and came up with a solution that looked good.Headed out last night, and on reaching the area, double-checked the solution, which was correct. Started to search, but the GPS had me all over the place, so I put it away and relied on caching instinct. Checked a couple of places before looking in a good spot and seeing something that looked interesting, and I looked at it for about 10 seconds before the realisation hit me that this was the cache. Clever and worth a fave. Signed the log and then replaced all as found. Now onto the next nearby cache.Gratias pro cache neva2old

This one eluded us and we were confused by past comments. We asked for help from the CO and found it exactly where it should have been, well camoed and a bit of extra natural blending in. TFTC a fav. Loved the mosaics too

No luck for us despite a search.

Coords had us scratching around in the wrong place for a while, but we widened the search and expanded our thinking. In the end we had the well camod cache in hand. TFTC

We headed to Jurien Bay for the weekend. Mainly to do the new parkrun but it also gave me an opportunity to grab some of the new geocaches here.Out for an after lunch walk along the foreshore and it looked like an easy multy. I soon had the coords but once I arrived at GZ i started search the wrong spot. After a couple of minutes I shifted and made the find.TFTC neva2old

mudnCraig and his dad went fishing for a day and I wanted to do geocaching because there are so many new ones in Jurien after the event. Will see how many I get. Quick multi and a beautiful camo, tftc!

Found it. TFTC neva2old. Teamed up with ullyssia and papillon357 for IGD around Jurien. Logs were signed as "PUPP" Hoppy to make a find here, replaced as found.

An early morning walk to grab the last few caches close to the accommodation before we head home. Caching around Jurien Bay and surrounds whilst in the area for IGD23. TFTH!

In Jurien Bay for International Geocaching Day

An early morning wake up for some new caches along the Jurien to Hill River cycle path followed by some sporadic caching around town.

Thanks to West Oz Geocaching for putting together the weekend’s activities and all the local COs for their new hides placed around town.

Now this cache has been found after being involved in the placement of this hide I can now claim my find.

Kids helped with the math and it was a short walk to the final GZ.
Searched about for a few minutes with MrB uncovering the well concealed cache.
Enjoy a simple multi with a good camo, have a favourite.

The day started early packing the kids and the car up and heading to Cottesloe for a run around before hitting the road for Jurien Bay.
We made a couple of stops along the way but we’re mainly focussed on getting to the IGD event.
After having a feed and a chat we targeted some different cache types around town before turning for home stopping by Carabooda to grab a golden oldie.
By the time we got in the door tonight we had totalled 600km, 12 hours, 12 finds, 5 adventure labs, 1 event attended and 0 DNF’s.

Hitting the road for IGD2023 in Jurien Bay. Looking forward to a great weekend! I’ve only been to Jurien Bay once in my life, and that was for a lunch stop on the way to Geraldton, so it will be good to spend some time in town. Naturally the drive up and back were caching missions in their own right, with the objective to clean up the new placements. Plenty of new and old caches in town too, that I am yet to have touched up in my last trip. This cache was one of this weekend’s many stops. Cheers neva2old!

IGD 2023
Out for International Geocaching Day again this year... heading for, or in and around the Jurien Bay area.

Some of the usual suspects are missing, however it has turned out to be a laugh as always, catching up with the characters of the WA geolandscape

Present at this cache find are The Fitzys, Rokadz and myself. The 2nd time I wandered over after watching the dodgy actions of the ftf claimers
