Sorry for the long delay, I went on holiday and just started school again. Will finish up on remaking the cache.
Got a bit confused reading previous logs about logs and stumps, but maybe the hint has been updated. The cache was found 16 m away from the coordinates we had on our GPS. There were lots of rubbish of various kind, which made the find not very pleasant.
#12772 12:10There is a clear difference between a log and a stump, so perhaps the CO can reconsider the hint. Coords are about 10 meters off, but the cache is in an obvious hiding spot. TFTC
GPS had us all over the place and was 15m out on a stump and not a log. Found eventually after a PAF. TFTC
Took a while as GPS didn't settle. Then found in obvious place. OCW Hiltop. TFTC snail559
After my first find this morning I headed south towards the location of a meet up with friends.I came via this cache which actually on the way. Can't understand the previous finders log as I parked the geomobile, walked along the street and path to GZ where the cache was a very quick find. Signed the log and replaced the cache without seeing anyone as this is a fairly secluded location. Then I walked back to the geomobile, all in 3 mintues or maybe less. Not 3 hours like the last person and there are definitely no dogs in this area. Maybe they've logged the wrong cache?TFTC # 5598
In an attempt to make a start on some finds, to go towards this month’s "Wheel of Challenges" souvenir chase, we stopped off at this new Traditional cache on our way back from a shopping trip to Mona Vale.
Attempted to find a parking spot close to the cache, at the end of Jubilee Avenue, but the street was completely parked out and we ended up having to park several streets away and walk back to the cache location. It's such a busy place. Interesting that the housing estate over the bridge from the cache is totally private with "No Trespassing" signs erected, so no chance of parking in there.
Followed the concrete pathway the short distance to GZ, and made a nice quick find at the most likely feature. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC snail559, FlynndeVisser, Cocopixie, and congratulations snail559 on your first cache placement.
