I had an inkling that was the type of cache it would be. A favourite for me! Thanks for the hide!
Continued our walk along Malenys circuit trail to locate this one, this one was luckily found after a short search after reading the hint . Signed log kingfisherau 2:45 pm 2/10/2024 and replaced all as found,Azezal - TFTC.Fav point for Great Cameo Container !
Today I walked the full 5km circuit around the golf course. I definitely spent far too much time searching here. Both hiding from the golfers who continued to arrive in their golf buggies plus circling some likely hiding spots. I blame my slow progress on being vertically challenged as I was able to spot the hide eventually when standing back a little. The log was signed and the cache returned as found before continuing on my way. TFTC
Out for a stroll around the precinct to check out some new caches and do some maintenance on a couple of ours. Cool in the forest but warm in the sun. No platypus jumped out at us along the way despite some good viewing spots but we did spot a few brush turkeys and a cormorant. The ubiquitous Golden Whistler contributed to the main soundtrack of the walk. Winding our way along the trail, we finally made it to this one after starting near our Blue on Parkland, parking near the community sports shed. I think we managed the circuit of 4.3km in just over an hour. This took us a bit of a search as lots of hidey holes, big and small, available in the trees at the edge of reclaimed forest with a view of the golf course. Then I spotted something & though, oh someone's accidentally got this here from afar, then J pointed out that it was actually the cache! Very clever. Signed our name & returned to its high perch.Uphill now as we continued past one of the creek crossings to the upper end of the golf course after checking on Pink then back along the edge to Blue and the car again.~1440hTFTC Azezal
TFTC! Very creative and had a great time searching for it on our Maleny adventure!
Back for another geoadventure around the sunny coast hinterland. This time I started in Ilkley and worked through Mooloolah, Maleny, Witta and Bellthorpe. Tell your kids they did a great job for their first hide. I found it reasonably quickly. Great to see this container in the wild for the first time! Thanks Azezal!
I do t think I have my geo eyes on today!! But what a good excuse to come back to this beautiful part of the world!!
We love to walk in the hinterland and particularly on the poetry trail. We followed the trail up and down, found the cache after a short search and signed the log.Tftc Azezal
I was in the area a year and a half ago to visit my father. It was right after quarantine was lifted, and I hadnt seen my dad for many years. And with the Parkinsons and Alzheimers, he was in a bit of a mess. This geocache did not exist back in March 2022, but Im glad it exists now. Because I really enjoyed the container! Very fitting on the day that we gather here to memorialize my father. Who liked to golf.TFTC! And a favourite awarded.
Azezal I found your cache Fore!! on 28/9/2023, 10:25 am. This is my find 6065 and find # 2 today. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
An easy find. A few muggles about today, walkers, golfers and suspicious groundskeepers, but we soon had the cache in hand. The log is a very tight fit but easily accessible by removing both end-caps and using a pen. TFTC Azezal
The newly published caches were a good reason to have another walk around the circuit this morning. I passed quite a few people enjoying the lovely weather and the walk. At GZ it took a while for me to find the container even though the coordinates were good. Log signed and replaced as found. A fav for the container and the hide. Thanks Azezal.
A beautiful day for a walk around the golf course and with a bonus of two new caches to find. Continued on to this cache but had to wait a while before approaching GZ as there where two muggle golfers crossing the fairway nearby. With the coast clear I made a quick find, all good with the cache. Another great hide and a FP from me, keep up the good work. TFTC Azezal
Saw these published in the morning but dismissed them as being too far south to attempt getting {FTF} on. Just happened to be in Maleny in the afternoon as had a day up on the range with the Teen planned. While having lunch on the main street I thought to check on exact location as we might be able to continue on, only to find they were just around the corner from where we were! There’s the walk for the day sorted then - and off we trotted to the start of the walkway. We did the loop and were pleasantly surprised by a number of spots along the trail. Quite rainforesty in parts. We both enjoyed it, so thank you for adding these two caches in here. Congrats on your first hide!
