Omg I searched high and low, around down and everywhere, even using the hint. I was about to accept defeat but found it. What a good spot. Thank you for the hunt!
Early rise and shine bracing for the long drive back to Perth (and reality) via a few back road caches. Cool hide here thanks
Gosh we searched and searched. ! What a good cache. My 6 year old daughter was stoked she was the one to get it ! Thanks for the Cache !!
Chiller hunt today in this beautiful part of the world, what a tree, what a story thank you for the cache Orrsom
We stayed in Manjimup last night, and after a lovely breakfast at the two little blackbirds Cafe (two trees dinner last night) this 500year old tree was a great first stop! Love big trees and great to get this cache while here. Although, it was Mr Aquilus1 who made the find as my TBI symptoms, which had been absent for a few days, return this morning and are increasing so I'm barely functioning, yay! Thanks for the cache at this great old tree!
Out and about again, trying to get as many caches before Canberra MEGA, and trying to get my 15k find. Trying my luck in this area, and was a successful day out.Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today. Thanks to orrsom for the caches we found.********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********Head over to Australian Capital Territory for Capital GeoBash MEGA - Canberras first ever Mega Event. Needed a find today to fill my calendar for the leap year and didnt realise I have a few caches around manjimup I havent found yet! Quick find today TFTC
Embarking on a caching road trip in the South West region of Western Australia, the goal was twofold: tidy up the map by revisiting familiar caches and explore new ones in uncharted territories. This journey promised a unique blend of nostalgia and discovery, weaving through both familiar landscapes and venturing into unexplored territories for a geocaching adventure filled with variety and surprises. While I was stuck for time at this point, I figured it would be a shame if I didnt swing by this spot. Neat tree. Was expecting it to be more impressive, but I suppose having camped in a Karri forest overnight, it is difficult to top that! Thank you orrsom for placing this cache for my enjoyment.
Thanks for the quick little stop off to stretch the legs while driving back from Albany. I remember visiting here years ago but it has since had a lot of work done. Fantastic new signs depicting some local indigenous history and revamped picnic area. Thanks for the excuse for a stop.
Headed into Manjimup for supplies, we got distracted & found ourselves out this way finding a few caches... We headed to GZ & despite the GPS wanting us elsewhere the hint led to a quick find of the sneaky thing TFTC & for showing us this spot orrsom
A quick easy find after many attempts in the past at a slightly different location. Awesome place.
After much deliberation today TaurusSix and I decided to head to the Manjimup area for our geocaching adventures. We noted several previous dnfs had been replaced, so we were keen to avenge them and there was a new Adventure Lab placed as well as some new traditionals since last we had been there. And geocaching aside it is always a really nice place to visit , always plenty to see and do. The weather was a beautiful spring / summers day with endless blue sky . It was an easy and pleasant drive down the South West Highway and we took a different road less travelled on the way back to Bunbury. All in all a great day for geocaching and a great day out. This was our first cache find of the day and the perfect spot for a geocache. We had the place to ourselves so it was nice to take the time and look around . We enjoyed the stroll and being in the bush, magnificent tree. . Good hint led to a nice quick find, log and replace. Thanks for the cache and for bringing us to this great location Orrsom . A favourite point from us .
Quick find on a warm sunny day. We were warned about snakes by two different groups just after getting out of the car. Needless to say, we watched where we were putting our feet! TFTC
Had a bite to eat in town then headed off to make a quick find on a drizzly morning. Thanks orrsom
We are on a Bucket List Trek, from Busselton, in the South West corner of Australia, up to Cape York, Australia's most Northern land point, and return.
We are travelling through several iconic tracks, through the Gawler Ranges, the Oodnadatta Track, the Birdsville Track, the Bloomfield Track and the PDR Track to Cape York. Now returning home via Nhulunbuy, Wadeye, down through the middle to Uluru and across the Great Central Road back to WA, a little detour out here before arriving home.
As we meander across this awesome country, we stopped here to enjoy the scenery, check out the history and wonder what life was like here all those years ago.
Thanks to the CO's for adding to our journey as we headed to Cape York and back.
