Logs
Changed the log thanks to everyone who found for this cache and hope there will be plenty more people looking for it!
Timtam Tom has been loitering far too close to home for a while now, but he was handy to leave alone until a cache find was needed. Bouncing around between work trips and dipping trackables into caches as I go, I needed a Brisbane cache to pass through before heading South across the border. On arrival at GZ< there's quite the geotrail forming which concerned me initially as it often means wandering around and around trying to locate the container. Thankfully, not the case for this one and the amphibian critter was spotted pretty quickly. I removed the log and etched G69 at the end of the list. Everything was reassembled and Tom was gently placed back in his lair.A neat little container, thanks Primevalcarrot.
I was needing both a multi and a trad today for challenge caches, so drove down to Springfield Lakes as there were plenty to choose from. There were a couple of logs and I found the cute cache with a dinosaur friend.Logbook signed and replaced as found. I liked this one so a fp. I dont know why it doesnt have any. Tftc
Out with CuriousQuest, finding a few caches. After stopping for a bite to eat, we still had time to find a few more caches before heading back to the other side of town. This cache was quickly located and the log signed. With everything returned as found, we headed off tot he next one. TFTC
After an early morning event in the company of Selva Girls, we both headed out to Spring Field and found an assortment of caches and this was one of them. All caches were found easily enough and (once the log was signed) all were returned as found. TFTC
Headed out this morning to work my way through a few challenge caches on the radar. So south of the river it was for the morning picking up a few newly established lab caches, followed by the particular caches on my radar followed by a few in betweenI stopped and found a park and quickly made my way to ground zero where the cache was quickly sighted. After extracting the cache I sign ed the lag and returned it safely to its hiding place ready for the next lucky cacher to find.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available for fellow cachers to find.Cheers
Found with bennyboppers today, a nice wander down the hill. After looking in a few spots, I stood and said there it is. Tftc
Found the little fella out in the open. Log was still dry, but I wasnt sure where it was meant to go so I placed it in the closest spot. Maybe the owner can have a look and put it back in its correct location. Tftc
Our day on the water was disrupted by the storms so Peppa and I have swapped the boat for the car. A nice quick find once at GZ. Tftc PrimevalcarrotFind #5067
After having our boating adventure undone by mother nature Davinells are collecting random caches around homeThis new cache appears on my closest unfound to home search so here we areA surprisingly quick findThanks Primevalcarrot
Trails are closed, weather is looking dodgy again today. Sneak out early and go caching. Parked near the event location for today and had a quick pedal round. Nice and quiet very early on a Saturday morning makes for easy hunting.
What an awesome cache. Kids loved it. Tricky to find and one child thought it was real. Great excitement.
Its the last day of school today and therefore my last chance to geocache by myself for a few weeks. But its too hot to hike so I took a drive out to Springfield where there are a few new caches and a few old old DNFs. Arriving at the nest, I checked all the likely spots and couldnt see anything so started another round looking more thoroughly. I poked a stick into a log and felt something squishy. Knowing that I was looking for a novel container , I poked again to see what was in there. This time, the squishy thing protested and pushed back. Not sure what poor creature I woke up, but I squealed so loud, Im pretty sure I woke up anything trying to sleep in the area.Once I calmed down, I resumed my search and soon spotted the cute little container. I did need to prod it, just to prove to myself that it was not alive, before I could bring myself to pick it up. Thanks Primevalcarrot for the great cache hide in this lovely little bit of bush!
Tom was not home today and by the look of his home he may not be back there until next year.I searched quite a few likely spots and then, as you do, started checking them again and there was Tom's friend sitting there staring at me wondering why I had overlooked him last time.Anyway, we exchanged names and I put him back where I found him.TFTC Primevalcarrot
With a bit of spare time I headed to this one as it's not too far from home. Parked in the best spot and a short walk had me at GZ. Thought I'd spotted it straight away but no. As it turns out it's a random bird house in the bushes? Initially thought the log had been pinched or lost as it was empty. After reading the hint and a couple of logs I realised this was not the target. A short search had the real target in hand. But wait the excitement doesn't end there. Sat on a nearby log to sign the log only to be covered in a swarm of large black ants. Thankfully not fire ants. After a lot of jumping about and brushing madly I managed to finish the task and return Tom to his nook. CO might want to collect the bird house so others art tricked into thinking the cache has been muggled. Besides it will make a super geocache. Cheers and thanks.
Hmm an interesting little patch of bush just 600m from my office.Plenty of fallen wood here but I picked the right one sooner rather than later. As I am the first to sign the logsheet (?!), Ill claim the *FTF* unless or until the circumstances become clearer. Thanks for this cache which is nicely constructed and I hope the scrub turkeys dont get hungry for frogs!
