I came the hard way to look at this cache before the event but with only 10 minutes to spare I did not have enough time to sych myself up. So I butt slidded down the embankment to the Cito. I was mentioning this cache to a few of the others at the event. So of course there was a group assault after the event with a champ volunteering to make the climb up while me and the others wondered about the engendering of the pole semi attached to the tree..

back in our hometownmany miles from ballaratafter school or on a weekend afternoon, we often used to meet up with friends at a big oak halfway between all our houses the oak tree stood alone in a parka thick trunkweb of branches encircled by a ring of council bollards a big dome of green canopy lots of folk met at the treelocal kids like us would mark their place with bikes and scooters dumped by the rootsascend into their hidden hideoutwatch the world go by the oak tree was a stellar spot branches built for climbing the mottled screen of the canopy enough height to see the skyline to the west and the horse paddocks to the east sothanks for the adventure for the chance to reminisce and to climb up once again into an oak tree hideout

This cache was mentioned at a local event. Today, I decided to drive over here and check it out. Grabbed gloves and a climbing rope from the car boot. Just as a precaution. Wandered through the bush. The Ballarat Cycling Classic is on this weekend, and the MTB route goes above and down and around the tree Nobody seemed to notice me putting on gloves and heading up, equipped with a rope Grateful for a quick find at GZ! The cache is concealed but was easy to spot Safely back on the ground without having to practice my trapeze skills (or lack thereof).TFTC georoamaround Dropping off a **fave**.

Arrived 3 hours early for the event I'm over for. What to do? After find a letterbox final nearby, this was an outstanding green icon on my map, try and remedy that. Made it to GZ, although mine was a little off. Did what the hint said and yes it is obvious once you make it to the proper GZ.Thanks georoamaround for placing this Traditional Cache to enhance the game board and add to our enjoyment.

After the last tree climbing this one was a nice walk in the park. Depending on which way you looked down made it seem a lot higher. Thanks for the cache.

I stayed overnight in Ballarat and, having a little time before today's event, I picked a couple of caches to do beforehand. This one looked interesting, so I headed here first. It was a nice easy climb, and an even easier find. Thanks to georoamaround for the cache.

Once the local event was over we headed off to cache all the latest unfound hides in and around Ballarat.A lovely spot to find a cache, we remember attending a CITO a few years back here. We made the climb to found the odd thing out. Thanks georoamaround for the placement.

We are returning home to the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, from a trip to Portland to visit my father. My goal for this journey was to collect Tourist Friendly and Tree Climb caches for Challenge Caches in Dunsborough WA. This scared me more than the other one in Ballarat, and I wasn't climbing. Sketchy. A ladder would have made me feel comfortable about hubby climbing. We forgot he needed a pen, so he had to ascend a little to get it. Thanks for the cache.

Did leave a logbook, it will last if there's not to much rain, but a replacement would be goodTFTC Wilbert67

{FTF} While on a family drive, I spotted this new geocache with a tempting FTF opportunity. We drove to the provided parking coordinates and made on a short walk in to the GZ.Upon reaching the treehouse, a challenging ascent lay ahead, and peering down from the drop-off made me a tad anxious. My cheering squad observed as I cautiously scaled the tree. Upon reaching the top, I surveyed the area and swiftly located the cache. Success! I retrieved, signed the log, and returned it.The challenge didn't conclude there; descending was equally nerve-wracking, if not more so. The drop seemed daunting, but I managed to make it down in one piece. This was undoubtedly the most effort I've ever put into securing a FTF .A note for those with kids or pets waiting below: the drop-off is substantial, and there are bits of wood on the ground with rusty nails pointing up to be cautious of.Thanks for this geocache!
