Headed on up the steep hill to the trig. Made a nice quick find. Great views at the top. [TFTC]
Quite a short but steep hike to this one! Didn't take too long to find the cache though. With the steepest part of the walk over, we carried on up to the trig. Gorgeous views today.Tftc
**21,091**Back in the area briefly on our way home so had to stop and turn this frown upside down now that the cache had been replaced. Quick find here, always easier when the cache is actually there! TFTC
Noticed these caches so decided to head out of Auckland for the day to see which ones we could find. After a walk along the beach and a climb up the hill we followed the hint and found this one on our way back down.
It has been a long time since coming up here and it is still a steep walk. Found this cache and carried on up to see the view and I wasnt disappointed. Thanks for the encouragement and the cache
Bowen Town April 24 adventure. Late afternoon stroll up the hill to wear out the NSWOA. TFTC
Yay! Nice to turn this one into a smile! A quick find here with stunning views. TFTC
We gave up on the Easter egg hunt organised by Waihi beach and came around here to finally find something. nice spot for it.
Luckily for me, this cache has been replaced recently!I'm sure I have been up here years ago for a cache.Novel way to roll up the paper here!Lovely photo opportunities from here.
DNF for us, maybe cache owner needs to check - believe it should have been an easy find.
Great day for visiting from Tauranga for a GC trip. Lovely holiday vibe around here with all the families enjoying themselves. Very busy lookout today, despite the heat. Had a really good look around but no luck. We searched within 1m of GZ, then widened the search to two other areas, still no luck and passing people were getting very worried for us as we explained what we were doing!! TFTC
Quick find on the hike up, too hot to be climbing to lookouts on the new year but ill take the quick find on my way up! Tftc
After a challenging hunt for our first find of the day this was a super quick find once at GZ. T4tC rosmar,Civvnr&MissTreadlightly....(UK) Geocaching.com finds so far 11319
The Christmas tree had lost its decorations but it was still a good Christmas Eve distraction for two young geocachers.
What fantastic views from the top and what a fantastic beach below with all the pohutukawas in bloom. This is one of my fave beaches in NZ. Oh, quick find at GZ. TFTC gave an FP for location
A pleasant climb over the far side of the hill from the campsite. Great view from the trig. point (a disappearing breed there). Quick find but rather exposed. Re-covered with plenty of natural. TFTC.
It's always nice to visit this area so we were pleased to see there were a few new caches hidden here recently, giving us a great reason to go back.We parked in the nearby carpark and headed up the hill to GZ, pleased that there were no muggles around.Such lovely views from up here.Once at GZ the cache was quickly located and the log signed. We then enjoyed the view before heading back down the hill. Thanks rosmar for bringing us back here.
Great excuse from a breather, up the steepish hill. TFTC! Cool to see Matakana Island and The Mount in the distance
I didn't have a pen this morning while I was out on a 2 2/2 hour walk ready for the Rotorua Marathon next year. Also my photo of the log did not load.Cheers Cympull
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Had no pen so attached photo Cheers, Cympull.
I haven't been up here for ages. Usually, I head down to fish at the beach. Can't believe the track now. Bit of an upward grind, but it's worth the effort. Surprising {FTF} again. Thanks, rosmar, for bringing us out here on such a great day.
That was a short sharp increase in elevation very accurate Co Ords lead me to a host that looked feasible after a short search the well hidden container was located.Very pleasant surprise of a nice clean log sheet{FtF}..one can only be inspired by the magnificent vistas that are obtained from around this area well worth the climb.. nice work with a sealed path way to the top... I can remember back many years this was a slippery sliding track..as kids it was great funthanks rosmar ..the log was signed and replaced as found
