Interesting, thanks

I almost got hit by a car to get there but was worth it

11-Nov-24
There was quite a bit of traffic near the intersection and a little care was required crossing the road. The search took a little longer than we thought it might but we eventually found the cache. Thanks to eighthknox for the cache.

I had a short notice bus job this afternoon to a sports centre nearby, so went in search of a couple of caches. At first glance parking seemed interesting, especially in a 41 seat bus, but the adjacent service lane was quite handy. A quick trot across the road and a stroll amongst the trees to GZ, and the container was soon located. All in good dry condition. I enjoyed the view as I made my way back to the bus. Out and about today on cupday enjoying the weather, the quietness and the cache hunting and to get some lunch.I have driven past this a few times and it is always too hard to park so today made the effort to park in the side street and head across.Thankfully a nice quick find in an exposed location. Thanks eighthknox for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

This is one of those caches where I am uncertain on what took me so long to actually go past and have a look at it. Being in a seemingly awkward spot on the map I seemingly ignored it until a opportune time came up to find it. Having to visit a client today around the corner I thought to myself why not just go and get this one out of the way. Finding a park nearby and running across the road, I soon found myself at a seemingly "snakey" gz and quickly added this one to my list of finds before heading back to the office, thanks for the cache and the little adventure.

I've been wanting to find this one for a little while. I often pass this area on my way through to Narre Warren. I decided to go on a big walk from home and made my way up here. It wasn't dark enough for optimal stealth, so I searched between red stop lights. Thank you for placing.

We hadn't had a chance to find any TDOC24's yet so today we headed off in this direction to find some of them and any other caches we went past on the way. This one fell into the second category. We parked nearby where there was a lot of work going on redoing footpaths and made our way across the road and admired the view. The mobile camera just couldnt capture the same beauty we could see with the eye! Cache was easily located, signed and returned. Thanks for highlighting this pretty place. Oh btw I record voice to text my finds for writing up logs later and there were some hilarious bits in this one like "Eat my hair. It was a small occasion. The fog of a tree at the intersection of some roads that were pop government really pretty value" LOLOL!!! TFTC eightknox - GJMMelb

Cool cache the first one I found, I recommend this to new cachers

In the hands almost straight away not to much traffic on this Sunday

Once we worked out where was best for us to park, we did the right thing and crossed at the crossing. Not sure why there is one as there is no footpath or any other reason to be on the other side of the road. Most unusual. Anyway, the cache was quickly located where OHC was searching and not where GT37 was. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.

Some after-work caching with Geoturtle37. After parking across the road, and doing the right thing by crossing at the crossing, we approached gz where I went to one likely location & GT went to the other. I was the one that got lucky on this occasion. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, eighthknox ~~

In the area for a work thing, I called him here on the way home to make a find. The gizmo had me not quite at GZ but after a short search, I made the find.

Great spot. Especially with the fact that it was guarded by a bull ant or jumping jack ant nest. Nice

This cache is less than 1 km from my house as the crow flies and I drive through this intersection nearly every day but it's taken me this long to go and find it! I walked over here on Saturday morning in a big 6km loop. I love living in this area - great views wherever you look.

Been meaning to do this cache for a while. Also needed to complete the last location of FTG ad lab. New year, time to get things done. Drove to FTG, walked the necessary part of the Kokoda Trail to complete ad lab. Took a detour to this cache on way home. Quick find, nice view. TFTC

I remember getting the notification that this cache had gotten published while I was at the office and I jumped in excitement.*A new cache only a short drive from home!*However that it when I remembered I wasn't at home and that I still had several hours of work before I was going to be able to go home. Of course, by then the FTF was gone and so I figured I would save this cache for another day. Well with this one being my closest unfound cache to home I finally decided to change that and get out to find it. With driving past this area every couple of days I knew the best part to pull over the geomobile so I could approach by foot. I also knew of the beautiful scenery that the cache page had mentioned and so I decided to find this cache just as the sun was setting so I could maximise the beauty of the surrounding area and oh it did not disappoint this evening... simply stunning.Once I arrived at GZ my phone homed in on a likely beacon and then it was only a short search before the cache was in hand and the logbook signed.A big thanks goes to [eighthknox](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=78eeee33-6aef-43a9-ba8a-6b723a7c4293&wid=c334d6f9-412c-4f16-b275-bf5adf52fbce&ds=2) for making me stop and truely appreciate the beauty that surounds me here and remind me how lucky I am to be living in such a lovely area. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**The cache container was in good shape and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

Geo-Son and Geo-Dad were off to the Upper Gully TAB to put some money on tomorrow's big races and couldn't resist grabbing this cache on the way there. With the car parked in the service road and making it safely across, the cache was found shortly after. Tftc eighthknox
