We had come to the end of our morning of geocaching in the area but wanted to find one more.We specifically wanted to end on one by Supernannny as we love her hides and have mostly found hers on our adventure this morning, so we checked the map and set off for this one.We parked beside the bus stop and are so glad we came here is it is such a nice and unique design and not like most of the other bus stops you see every day.Fortunately there wasn't anyone waiting for a bus and not a lot of traffic on the road so there was no need for stealth and the cache was quickly located. A great end to our morning adventure. Thanks so much Supernannny for all the caches you have placed. We have been exploring the western suburbs in recent weeks and finding your caches has been a lot of fun and provided many highlights. The places you choose to hide them are so interesting and often not locations we would have ever known about so we really appreciate all the effort you have gone to with the placements. We look forward to finding more soon.

MrsJAG was visiting family in the area, so before the visit she continued on along WCR to find this cache. What a lovely upgraded bus stop - wonder how many actually use this bus stop???After parking across the road from the bus stop, I crossed the road to gz and soon had the camouflaged cache in hand. Thanks SN for another Westie cache

Well, as promised, another story, I can't help myself supernanny, you place caches, I just have to come up with a story, all VERY true though, I promise you that. So, after coming all the way downhill from Waiatarua from the C.O's brand new cache which I got {FTF} on. I got up to 50.7km on the e-bike, it has a speedometer on it. Fastest I have ever been on the bike, quite exciting I can tell you, hope I never fall off at that speed. But on my way up the hill to the Waiatarua cache, I did notice a few places of interest and thought to myself, I'd explore when I came back down the hill. So one of the places I thought I'd take some fotos was at 600 West Coast Rd. I saw there was an oldish building and even older side buildings. But while taking fotos, I could see the sides of the building were fibrolite, this tells me this building while it's looks old, it's not really, fibro is a very recent invention, perhaps early 1960's? Anyway A guy came out and told me I was trespassing. I told him I was keen on old history of West Auckland, especially orchards and wineries. Well, his face lit up! So we had a good 40-50 min chat about the area, he knew quite a lot and I soaked in what he shared with me, I shared a few things he never knew about including the Mill Cottage at Henderson.... 400x50mm wide Kauri floor boards (unheard of) built maybe 1840-60. He was fascinated, so we had a great conversation. So eventually I had to depart and get to THIS cache. Got to GZ, didn't take me long to find the cache, head height? Not quite, but even for me I could reach this easily. Happily to say the log was blank, and no surprises that someone might have been here before me. Thanks supernanny for another cache for our geocaching community, I did see a bee or wasp shoot out by the cache, their fav spot on buildings, so be aware fellow cachers. FP for the adventure for me today. Cool FTF#826 Cool
