Enjoying a beautiful day in Waihi collecting some caches. Spotted the cache but waited for a runner mum and her biking children. Great to see this path and it being enjoyed. Cache all all Bet this area is very popular in summer. TFTC

We went to check out the swimming hole first. We then headed back to look for the cache and saw its hiding spot as we were approaching. It was accompanied by a big fat slug much to my daughters disgust as she extracted it haha.Tftc

Was planning on doing a few caches but the weather didn't play ball. Settled for this one which we stopped straight away after getting out of the car in a gap between showers. A nice spot, tftc.

Well I wouldn't be jumping of that!!! Will come back in the summer so I can see how it's done. Thanks for the cache placement

What an interesting spot to visit. We were in our motor home and wondered if there was a turn around spot. Yep, all good. Thanks for bringing us here owlie team

Out this morning and extracted the larger cache. Have replaced with a smaller model that extracts easily. New log and ready for finding.

Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. The cache likes the space it has grown into but still allows the front door to open. TOTT would have been handy but nature supplied an adequate tool in the form of chopsticks. Found with Fisha1288. Cheers, Cympull.

Found with Cympull. Great hide. TFC

For a tiny dead end street it was certainly busy today. Despite the tractor mowing its lawns and the locals arriving back and opening gates, we managed to stealthily find, sign and return the cache. Thanks for bringing us to another place that we wouldn't have found but for geocaching.

Easy find

Nice ...another find....

10-Apr-24
Struggled to get lid off or cache out. Might need a smaller container.Nice area to walk around. [TFTC]

07-Apr-24
A quick find due to minimal camouflage. Cache is wedged and almost impossible to put the lid back. I would consider using a smaller container. TFTC.

31-Mar-24
A quick detour to grab this one. Didnt take long to find. Lid tricky to get off. Got there in the end. Tftc

Today 3 of the Team SEAC crew headed down as the Waihi Walking Wanderers...a smaller crew than usual being Easter Weekend but that didn't stop our enthusiasm or plan for the day. Another great day out for sure!! Best of all not a single DNF!!Once again I was able to spot the cache but not quite reach it. It was wedged in but they wiggled it out. Thanks for the cache.

30-Mar-24
The call went up as another caching raid had been planned (in minute detail I have to say) by Keylev. As it was Easter weekend we didn't have the full Team SEAC compliment but 3 of us headed down to Waihi to execute "THE PLAN". So starts the adventure of Keyle, NurseDr and NZTravellers.Lodged in tree and had to undo lid with cache in position. Cache all good otherwise.TFTC

30-Mar-24
Buzzybb found it but we couldn't get it out. So removed lit in situ.

30-Mar-24
TFTC. Out with team SEAC for an Easter adventure. Lid tricky to turn.

Was down in Waihi for a few days for a Party. So I was very pleased to see a new cache that we could walk to ...from my brothers bach, where the party was held! Two of my grandchildren "misterandmissy" were happy to come along for the walk....They love adventures...!We soon spotted the correct place...and could see the cache; but retrieving it was another matter! The hole is closing in!We had 2 other adults with us, and one managed to ease it out somewhat .Owlie Team you might want to consider replacing it with a thinner tube! Thanks for the fun walk....sadly no kids swinging here today, but my kids would have loved to go in the river....but one has his arm in a cast!

No problem finding this one but it appears growth of the cache holder made it difficult to get it out. Eventually I got my hands on the log and signed it. Thank you for the placement

Fun finish to a great day biking the trail to Paeroa - along with plenty of others both on the trail and the train... Good to see. Found the cache on the ground - unharmed, so signed and replaced it carefully. Had a cheerful chat with a nearby local who came for a look see, but didn't actually ask what we were up to. Cache is all good. TFTC

03-Jan-24
The cows were off to milking and people were checking out the swing. Quickly spotted as we were getting to gz. TFTC

03-Jan-24
This cache was a bit high up for me so had to have FriwiNZ (my dad) reach up and get it. But it was found quickly. TFTC

We were having breakfast nearby and noticed this new cache had come out since our last visit to the area so we headed over to look for it as soon as we had finished. We have never been to this area before and enjoyed finding a new spot to explore. Once at GZ the cache was a nice quick find in a perfect hiding spot and there were no muggles around so no stealth was required. Thanks OwlieTeam for a nice new hide in a lovely place.
