I went into the bush many different ways looking for this cache almost ready to give up until I found a geotrail leading I to another way in. A quick around and the cache was soon spotted.
Unfortunately the weather isn't the best today, so it'll be a case of doing what we can, when we can .We managed to grab this one without getting too wet.I left a pet rock - a BeaverThanks for putting this here
Rattll and I are on a road trip in the South Island. Day 15, started near Haast, heading for Hokitika via Okarito. Nor large numbers of caches along the way, so we're picking up what we can along the way. It's started out as a very wet morning! Paused at Jacob's River for this one, had to drag out all the wet weather gear. Fortunately, not too hard to find. Took it back to the van to sign, rather than standing in the rain. All in good condition. Returned as found. Tftc!
On my way to Ross on a whitebaiting trip and getting some caches on the way. A quick find. Lovely weather . All good with the cache. Thanks
We headed further south today towards Wanaka, so roughly 250 km of driving from Fox Glacier. We noticed that there have been several caches on the way and we decided to stop for some of them for short breaks. In Haast which was on the middle of the way we had a short coffee/milkshake break and headed further south, stopped at 2 waterfalls which can be reached from the highway in 2 minutes only, very nice!Last longer break was at the south shore of Lake Hawea, the view was magnificent and we had a small walk around including some caches. Now we are at the campground in Wanaka and I have time to log all caches. The second cache for today. Interesting concept for the church next to the cache. We also found one TB, but left it inside as we have already two passengers with us.TFTC #464
Thanks a lovely day to be passing through sun shinning and yes can see Mount Cook.
Travelled from Franz Josef through the Haast Pass today with a number of stops for caches and walks (sometimes a combination of both) along the way. Interesting piece of history here and a good spot for us to stop for lunch in our motorhome. The cache was a reasonably quick find. #7210. TFTC.
Gevonden samen met Bald Eagle op onze trip door Nieuw Zeeland op 4 apr. 2024 17:56. Dank je wel blunsdon voor deze cache. Groetjes van mij 1739 uit Eindhoven

Just getting around to logging the caches I found while visiting New Zealand from the U.S. with LaFavorite Cacher. We had a great time traveling around the country seeing the sights and picking up some caches along the way.Thank you for being a part of our adventures!Note: LaFavorite Cacher has sent in the answers for any earthcaches or virtuals required for both of us.
After enjoying a lovely stay at a local tiny house, GeoJayne and I made our way from Wnaka to Haast to Fox Glacier. It was another lovely day and we loved all the sights we saw along the way. Geocaching takes us to all the best spots, doesn't it?I'm not sure that I will ever tire of all the beautiful views here in New Zealand! I know we have beautiful places in the U.S., as well, but really? It seems as if there's a scenic overlook every 10 feet. This was not in a location that we expected but we enjoyed the find, regardless. Thank you for the smiley and the fun!
Day 44 of our roadtrip around the south island with Blue Jay. Today we drove from Fox Glazier to Haast taking in a lake & glacier walks as well as some caches along the road. This was one of them. TFTC.Toffee Man.
Nor much church left. Lovely views though. TB in We also acknowledge the traditional custodians of New Zealand / Aoteroa, as we geocache throughout their land while on holiday. Thanks for showing us this place, & for placing and maintaining this cache. The is our playground
We are on a trip in New Zealand. A wonderful country with a lot of (old )caches. There are too many caches so we limit ourselves to the (old) gems or where we happen to make a stop. We found and signed this cache in good condition. blunsdon, thank you for this cache, regards xizat-NL. Take care, this hobby can develop to an addiction.
Found within famous trip around New Zealand. Thanks for nice cache ....................................................................... TB Koumesovo geopivo DDEV7M
We sailed past this cache a few days ago & thought wed get it on our return, but DOC workers were strimming & clearing along the front of the church ground, so we had to bypass it again. Raining today but we stopped to look. How fortunate that the cache was hiding in a fairly sheltered spot. An easy find, thanks for placing.
On our trip through New Zealand we see many beautiful things. We brought our hobby with us and fortunately we can also find many geocaches along the west coast. Many thanks to CO for providing this geocache. With warm geocache greetings from the Netherlands
Summer Holiday 2024Day #7Time for AlpiSteve and I to head to Queenstown and the weather is terrible here in Fox so sadly no helicopter ride to the glaciers before we go.
