All these caches Ive found today have been so so sneakily hidden, Ive had to switch my brain on to find them thats for sure. Struggled a little to find but then looked at the hint and some past logs and the cache was soon in handThanks for putting a cache here, I ts such a lovely area!TFTC
Wow - a maintenance run down to Pembi, up through Manji, grabbed the new one in town - saw an iconic carnage sign above some ones garage door Then headed out to Donnelly River for lunch and a meander around the village and the dam. This cache is still here, added a bit of assistance to this one to help you get it out of its hiding spot.Yes, its under the bridge, but up the top shelf, tucked away nicely, youll see a small branch, pull that out and youll have the cache in hand
Find 10 of 14 on a bike ride in Pemberton, down to the Cascades and back, then down to the swimming pool and back. Always some hills to climb when riding round here. Beautiful forests and very peaceful until the train turned up at the Cascades as we were about to leave - timed that well! All quick finds along the old backtracks, thanks so much for showing us this way out to the Cascades, which were flowing mightily.Got lucky here. A 4WD was parked in the clearing and its occupants were heading to and from their fishing rods on the river bank. We thought a long search would look suspicious but we had the cache in hand instantly - combination of good coords and working cache radar for a change. All good here.TFTC pood!
Out and about again, headed the long way back from Albany to Perth. Stopped off in Denmark, Walpole and Pemberton and filled in a caches turning them to yellow smiley faces. In general they have straight forward hides today. A few short showers in the travels but not a big drama. This is 16343.Thanks to pood for the caches I have found.
A Big couple of days down in Augusta cleaning up all of the stuff published over the last year or so in preparation for the WAGB event. We got out on the boat cleaning up the Blackwood river caches and a number of small series of caches aswell as hosting a couple of events in town. Thanks to the local COs for a great mid-week explore. We had a blast.
A little drive through the side tracks here and had great fun. Tested out the RC car on the tracks here and it almost made it from 10 to 1. A good mixture of containers here TFTH
Man I was crapping myself walking across that railway bridge. What a great spot though!
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. We had about three weeks in New Zealand which went by too quickly. The remaining five weeks are spent in Australia. Yesterday we drove from Walpole to Yeagerup. Today we go sightseeing in Pemberton and surroundings. We also visited this lovely old bridge, great spot! This cache was found quickly without any problem. Thank you very much for this cache.
During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, we arrived yesterday at the RAC Karri Valley Resort. Today we will explore the area and visit a number of caches. We visited the cascades and this cache was also found there.**pood**, thanks for the cache.
Had a great time with the cousin elephants from the UK finding many caches in this series. We did miss a few in the middle there after taking the wrong backtracks and ending up parallel but a bit too low or high for the actual cache. Thanks so much for placing such a variety of hides for us to find.
A nice quick find! I had some help from my geosister in retrieving this one. Found with Teamlaroche. Tftc
We had a great time in Pemperton and especially with the Olde Backtracks and Traintracks round. Thank the owners for their work.
We have arrived in town and we were wondering what to do. Shall we do this bike ride and get the caches or should we go to the MTB park. We opted for the cache ride. We parked the car near Carey street and headed in. Found the caches on the way in and on the way back out we got slightly lost. Hit a dead end road decided to lift the bikes over a barrier and was close to the start but then came up against a fence which we then pushed them around before we were back on track. Should have paid more attention to turnoffs on the way back.Made our way to this one for a quick find then ventured towards the cascades.TFTC
Out early in the cool to pick up the rest of this series.A beautiful drive through the bush.TFTC pood this is find #16631 for us.
To take advantage of a cooler few days, we decided on a quick trip to Augusta via Pemberton. Love visiting this neck of the woods and happy to make a find here. As we were towing a caravan, we left the car and van on the corner of Carey St and the track and used pedal power. A bit bumpy and a few creek crossings added to the adventure. Thanks pood for placing this new series.
YAY FTFTaurus Six and I had been keeping our eye out on the new caches that had been published around Pemberton throughout the week . As the week was nearing an end and the FTFs had still not yet been claimed we hatched a plan. We decided if they still had not been found by the end of Friday we would set off to Pemberton after work Friday , given this was still quite late , we would then stay over and make a very early start Saturday morning to find them. And that is exactly what we did. We were very surprised to wake early with drizzle and mist for weather, however it made for a very pleasant early morning. The bush all around was smelling wonderful due to the moisture in the air. The caches were all in great locations , a few were park and grabs and a few required a pleasant stroll to get them. We were also surrounded by birds predominately kookaburra, cockatoo and parrots and we did startle a couple of kangaroos , this all added to the beautiful morning of geocaching. Once we completed all the first to find and cleared up outstandings in Pemberton we headed back to Bunbury via the backroads collecting a few more caches along the way.A big thanks to Pood for all these fabulous new caches that have been placed.
