I had a few more hours in Whangarei, so I went looking for some more caches in the area. This was today's first. Thank you
Quick and easy find for one of the kids, the others didn't have time as there is a nice playground on the other side of the river.Thankfully no hungry trolls spotted us!Cache is all dry and log is in good condition. TFTC!
Thanks for your amazing cache Lis"s crew. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.Found on my birthday after an early start going to see the Navy raising the White Ensign at the Whangarei Town Basin. Had breakie close by then headed to the Hukerenui car show with 340 plus cars on display. Fate took us to the pub at Towhai for a well deserved refreshment then back to the Town Basin for a late lunch accompanied by a nice bottle of bubbles. That's when it was time to get a smiley at this cache. Found with Fisha1288 and Fimo. Unfortunately neither of us spotted any Trolls today. Cheers, Cympull.
I parked up near Farmers and retrieved a few close caches on a long walk. This one was an easy find in a space that is neatly tucked away. Tide was in while I was there so definitely a place to watch the little ones. TFTC.
And if there is s..t to stand in, I will always be the one to find it. TFTC.
After a coffee we headed here and I recalled a puzzle final? nearby last time there was a cache in the vicinity. Nice easy find thanks to the hint. The morning after the wedding and some last minute change of plans meant we had the day to ourselves so headed to Town Basin, then Quarry Gardens before and unsuccessful seek on some avos. Just a few finds and enjoyed the sunshine. A weekend up here for a very important occasion, our son's wedding. we headed up from Manawatu/Rangitikei at sparrow's fart on Friday morning and were at the Air BNB at 1530 to get unpacked and all was good. Thanks to all COs for their cache hides today. The wedding itself was a resounding success, the clouds parted, the sun shone and all was good as it was a roaring success for all attendees.
I had business in town today. This cache was close to where we had parked. Not a bad spot for a troll. Thanks for to placement Lis's Crew.
Thanks Lisa crew for the tidy cacheI have visited this spot on a previous occasion as there is good parking and a lovely outlook thanks for bringing me back here..the cache is all
Up here visiting friends in Maunu, plus doing some caching with Net61. Caching in town today .This looked intriguing!Found quickly with hint....strong magnets!
Our oldest practiced her event she is organizing for keas today, it involved a bus from rose street to whangarei falls then walking all the way back. Grabbed this on the way through.
Out for a Sunday stroll around the loop. Check the phone and found a couple of newish caches along the way. So called in to look for this one. Soon located, TFTC
We have driven past many a time on the way to see GAR's parents and family but this is the closest I have ever come to the pools. Luckily no-one around to see me slip in to find the hide and that it was a quick find. Thanks for placing Lis's crew and adding to my caching adventure today. On a walk around from William Fraser Memorial Park and who knows where else while I wait for GAR to finish helping his dad with some building repairs. Back on my way to the park now.
We kept looking around the clues but with no luck (probably right in front of my eyes) but always a bit tough with a 3 and 5 year old haha. We will have to come back and try again
Nice easy cache. Well easy cause I cased it out a few days ago so I could nab it today during my lunch break TFTC 3 May 2024 12:45pm 953
Really cool cache. The troll was pretty friendly. We had to negotiate with him not to eat us
Up for the weekendWalk down from the motel to get this oneNice quick findthanksthanks
Up this way for the weekend with ABCDF4Thanks to CO for making it a great weekendSome great hide
The winterless North turned on the rain today so didn't go for a walk before dinner, but When I came back it was more pleasant. I grabbed a few nearby caches by the hotel... Unfortunately the area has been used as a toilet spot so take care.TFTC
Found it. A heap of used toilet paper and fresh human waste very close which is a shame. Bit of a smelly one..
Down from Whangarei with Lis's crew & yvettetb on a Leap Day mission to get all available cache types and sizes in one day. As it turned out, we managed to achieve our goal and bookend it with FTF's to start and finish the day, with a few more along the way as a real bonus.Ooohh, a new cache published whilst we were having our Leap Day event catch up, back in Whangarei. How convenient. ???? A nice quick find at GZ and pleased to see a still blank log. TFTC
