I spent the day around the North Haven and Semaphore area grabbing some caches along the way. Perfect Spring sunny day to be out geocaching. A nice little trail with a bit of variety in hides. All found without problems. Thank you withoutaname, for placing Mutton Cove Ships Graveyard number 4 for the geocaching community.# # #15283 # #
Apologies for a very late log! Naughtybunny and I spent the day out exploring the Port Adelaide / North haven area and caching. We made it right up the top here and this was a series I was looking forward to as I love the odd shipwreck. After the first one i wasn't expecting much for this one... Still nothing. Was I still missing something? Couldn't see any shipwreck. I guess there is still a sturdy fence here and there was still the odd bit of rubbish. The cache was found pretty quickly considering the size. TNLN. Cheers.
Quick find, another full log book, and this one needs to be removed, resized and replaced because it's now damaging that to which it's attached. Please, if the next finder can take scissors and another cable tie it would be great.TFTC withoutaname
This a new account but I found this cache with my mum (EmsDan1315) and my brother (maggies123) on 10-7-2024 TFTC.
A change in weather has us changing direction for todays caching adventure with Mattycat, after collecting a FTF near Owen we ventured down along the coast collecting the odd cache either of us needed, before we were knew it we were down in Port Adelaide and heading up into LeFevre Peninsula, a little graveyard trail had us back down checking out the changes down here since our last visit quick find for us todayTFTC withoutaname
Tiny dreadful buggers. Trusted the GPS and similar caches in this series and catch was soon spotted, retrieved, signed...... longer to replace. Master 3 was still not asleep... TFTC
Back to finally finish this series. This one took much longer than it should have but we got there in the end. TFTC
Found with my younger sister out caching before she has to babysit grandsonTook a short time to locate and co ords spot onTFTC
The nano series or nano rant series, all bloody nanos were found and sign, no more bloody nanos to be made ever in the worldToday having the day off, I headed north to find some new caches out around the peninsula and port AdelaideThanks for the cache
With a couple of hours to spare, I headed out to Outer Harbour to locate a series of caches along a very busy road. Coordinates were all spot on, allowing for quick finds. Thanks for the cache withoutaname!
Sparkie and Goldy are back and out caching. A nice little birthday celebration for Goldy.I ended up with 6 smiles for my birthday.I enjoyed the walk along the trail. I've always loved this spot and loved having the opportunity to find some caches here on my special day.We tried our best to write our names in all the log books. Sometimes we had to resort to our initials.I managed to locate this one after a short search. Almost didn't see it there! Thanks withoutaname for this traditional cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 4114 on the 12th of April 2024.I appreciate all the CO's who spend time and resources contributing to the Geocaching game board.Shoutout to the reviewers who dedicate time to make sure our game is safe and enjoyable.I look forward to attending GCACHF8 in Sydney in early 2025. Hope to see plenty of people there!
Time for another Tuesday Trek, this time it was back to three Confused Puzzlers. After picking up the Rat from her nest it was off to a cache in Alberton to meet up with the Starfish. Then it was off for a pleasant day caching mainly from the list but as it was a short list some were added as required. Some we all wanted, some only some of us wanted but all were wanted. I was very happy to significantly reduce my number of traditionals within 42K of home. Unfortunately there was one DNF.This SOS was found by the Rat.Thanks to withoutaname for adding to the playing field with this cache.Cache #14798 for me.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*
Something special or unusual goes here:We started at #5 and that was a quick find. Thereafter these became a bit harder as they became the Spawn of Satan type cache. Poor Freddo will be having conniptions. And he no doubt WILL invoke the rant so no need for me to do it here. So all I will say it not found where the GPS wanted me. Luckily the Rat sniffed this one out. The Generic Bit:Back from the Capital Geobash Adventure it was tome to catch up with the puzzles published whilst away. The usual trio of puzzle solvers set out on their usual Tuesday trek in search of puzzles ad anything else they came across. [ The usual laughs and a picnic lunch. ***Thanks withoutaname for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
Time for a Tuesday Trek, for 3 confused geocachers.Plan was for ttrogg to pick up the Rat from her nest. Then head down to meet up with the Starfish.Mrs Rat quickly located this one in a timely fashion.Stamped the log and replaced as found. Tftc
Some how we sped passed this one. Luckily as we needed to walk back to the car, it wasnt a problem. Running path very popular and the traffic is surprisingly constant, although it is a work day. Thanks without a name for this lovely cache.
Thanks withoutaname for placing a fresh set of caches in the area. I was using the car today to find these, which was probably not the best plan. Still, it is easter sunday, so only me and the birds out here at dawn. Took forever to find this one, coords were off a bit for me, and I spent an age just walking around the trodden grass. Seems other finders have a lot of difficulty with this one also. Blue Gum won in the end. Find #9481 at 8.01am
Out for a bike ride from Port Adelaide to the Outer Harbor area.No problems finding this one.
My muggle mate had this in hand even before I reached the GZ!! Thanks for the hide!!
Theres been a bit of chat about these new caches out on the Peninsula, so had to head this way tonight after work for a look see Yep that sure was tinyTFTC
One of five Mutton Cove Ships Graveyard caches logged today. They came up in conversation at this mornings event, and given that you dont need a canoe to access any wrecks, I put them on my list. I enjoy coming out this way, and today was a perfect morning for it, but the unexpected bonus was that I finally got to see the Expressway bridge over the Port River go up and down on the way there. First time! Thanks for the cache and the series withoutaname.
Out with Normanville for some caching along the peninsula. Fortunately wasnt too much traffic along the road as we drove to each cache. Tftc
Saw a couple new caches at pelican point so drove down in the hope of a first to find. After about 10 minutes of no luck I was joined by Hurtle who found the goods. Was great to meet you Hurtle. Will return in daylight to find the rest if the series
Cache spotted by Waldron. I was on another tree. Not the correct tree. The other tree that is near the correct tree. Busy location.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. After the early morning events I thought I'd swing down and clean up this new series. Most were quickly found and I met up with a couple of likely types as I made my way around.TFTC
Found it After yesterday's FTF's I had more time to come and get the rest of the series, parked up far away to get in some exercise. I deliberately drove past this one yesterday due to it's location and instead got number 3.An easy find here today.TFTC withoutaname
Saw some new cache on the peninsula, so swung by...Love exploring these wrecks...Thinking there was someone camped near GZ in a camper van, I initially bypassed this one, and went to #5.Came back and parked about 50m from GZ to sneak up on the cache.... only to find Marcus searching in vain at GZ...Together we scoured for another 10-15 mins before I laid my eyes on it! Sneaky!Dropped my *FTF* geocoin through approx 2300hrs.TNLNSL Thanks
