Mr Riddell had fun retrieving the cache while Mrs Riddell investigated Stockyard Plains and all the information about the wetlands flora and fauna.Of interest were the brolga, swamp harrier, spotted Marsh Frog, Australasian Bittern as well as a little about the water plants and restoration of the wetlands and habitat.TFTC and interesting location A nice quick and easy drive by on our way to Echuca. Thanks for the cache.
A nice quick one to keep my day swinging along. My old tree fishing rig was not really very functional and i cant fit it in my new-to-me vehicle, so i have been trying to work out a new rig. All my ideas are again too long to fit in the vehicle so i decided to get roof racks, a pair came up online in Kyabram, what an excellent excuse for a day out caching. Waranga Basin 3 Stockyard Plain is find number 4,019 for me. A fun small sized traditional cache I enjoyed finding as one of my caching adventures in Campaspe Shire. I am logging this one on Friday 13 Sept 2024 at 2:34 pm and the weather is Scattered Clouds 19C 47% 3 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy WeAreGleesos.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful spot! Crustvarmint and I really enjoyed the journey to find this cache, and we were pleased to see that everything is in great working order. Thank you for bringing us here!
While out hunting today with my mate, Juzzmagic, we drove around the top of the Basin to pick up these caches. Whenever I have visited this great lake, I have gone to the Waranga Boat Club, so I hadnt seen this area before. Thanks for bringing us here, WeAreGleesos.
Driving up to stay at Tatura for the events tomorrow.Collected a few AdLabs and caches on the way.Such a small amount of rain, and it makes the tracks quite greasy.A nice quick find. Thanks, Robmc.
26 July 2024 2:25pmBeware the bindis. When the three of us arrived here to do a spot of Geocaching, one of us found herself confined to the car. A great spot for a cache, but a brolga nesting site (with thorns underfoot) is not such a great spot to walk a geohound. TFTC WeAreGleesos. This was another "Wow! I had no idea!" place. [^]
26 July 2024 14:03 dalerious and I wanted to get a few caches for the day, and take Peggy the geohound for a run after I came home from work, and we felt like an ice-cream, so it was an easy guess where we would head to satisfy every need. What a glorious afternoon it turned out to be after the thick fog of the morning. Just perfect for a drive around the basin.Every area where the caches were placed allowed Peggy to get out and have a run whilst we went to look for the cache.Lovely area's where you could stop and have a picnic, and wonderful views of the basin. One gz took us to a spot we never knew existed. A sanctuary of sorts where the majestical Brolga could been seen.Thank you WeAreGleesos for placing these csches out in beautiful Rushworth. All caches found in good condition.
Nice easy find on our way to Rushworth. On the promise of icecream for all my patient muggles.Nearly there guys!TFTC
The last of this small series around the Basin. Thanks for bringing us to another hidden gem in this area WeAreGleesos. SL at 1.33pm and we left a Highland Bull - just right for the Stockyard Plain. #11,060 And now we continue on to Tatura for more caching adventures.
A lovely conservation area we weren't aware of. Worth future explorationTNLN Thanks K&M

Joint [FTF] with LizzieandE, n0w0rries and +Wife after the Central Victorian Annual Get Together Event in Tatura at lunchtime.LizzieandE offered me a lift home from the event, via Waranga Basin. So very glad I accepted, as I not only enjoyed their company immensely, it also gave me the opportunity to find this cache with a clean first page, which we added our names to, as n0w0rries and +Wife arrived. Thanks WeAreGleesos for adding to our enjoyment of the day by publishing these new caches.
