Whilst Daddypig and his band have another rehearsal I'm giving Daddypig's Assistant yet another driving lesson, and finding a couple of the caches we gave up on when it started to pour down last night. I left her in the car whilst I walked down here. A quick find, and then time to head home.
The first time we came here, there was lots of ivy hiding it. This time, it had been cut back and was easy!
Nice camo here amongst the ivy indeed. Need to bend down a little for face height and I am not tall. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. Greetings from Christchurch. Cheers
**21,829**Another super quick find for Mr Geckoh once he headed down the right pathway. Enjoying our time in the area. TFTC
we looked hard around the main post, but besides heaps of spiders - all kind of species - we had no luck today...
Ivy cache hides can be tricky to find, but thankfullyJAG soon spotted this sneaky hide. TFTC
Tried for this a couple weeks ago but thought our chances might improve after the wind. Got it today. Tpvsl NINO TFTC
I don't usually like looking through Ivy but this wasn't too bad. Did a quick sweep along and luckily spotted it fairly quickly before the rain came down. Tftc
Another Sunday morning excursion with Team Welsh hunting some of the newly published caches in the area. We always get a little nervous when Ivy is in the cache title or hint, but luckily this patch is not too big. All the same, the cache did take a couple of minutes to spot. Thanks.
One of the best things about local caches is you know the best access ways. KC and I came here in convoy and not sure if the cache has slipped down a bit or the CO has got shorter but we found it eventually. Many thanks for another local cache.
We were here searching for a while. Took the hints to literally. But with determination we won out in the end.
Hmm.......for some unknown reason , we found this to be the trickiest of the 9 caches on my list today. We seemed to be here hunting for ages. But we were determined to stay till we found it.Eventually, it was Net61 who found it....no need to TAF Yay...it finally swung out and showed itself.Phew.....now we can move on .Cheers
Gosh, 2 unexpected FTFs in one day! Id found the one in the village and then returned to get the bunker cache I had originally planned to get. After signing the log on that one and being mistaken for a geriatric drug dealer I hauled myself back up the hill to my car. I was sitting in my car making a note for my log when ping, a new cache notification sounded. Good grief, another one in Red Beach and not too far away from me, talk about being in the right place at the right time! A few minutes later I was parked up and walking down the walkway which Im sure Ive ridden down a few times in the past with my ebike group. Well, I had ftf finder blindness initially here as I missed the cache on the first sweep so made another sweep and this time found it and went to sign the log and my pen wouldnt work! Aaargh!! Eventually I managed to get enough ink out of the pen to sign for my 2nd {FTF} of the day.
