Found quickly, took away, signed and came back. Busy spot, but still discreet. TFTC
Quick pickup here lots of muggles everywhere but not here nice little high tucked away there.tftc
We are getting quite good a quickly grabbing hides like this.We were in and out before any muggles had a chance to notice.TFTC
Nice little park and grab, thank you for the cache. Helping me keep up my streak.
I decided I better get organized and get a pile of caches to finish off this Cosmic Quest challenge we have going on at the moment. So it was a reasonable day weather-wise and so I came over with my e-bike to Albany via train and buses for a bit of a day out! I had in mind about 20 caches but managed 23, until it started getting quite cold and I needed to get home to warm up and have a nice wine with dinner. If I had gotten my act together earlier, I could have easily gotten 30 caches. Haven't had a full-on day like this for a while. I initially took the wrong approach here, but got to GZ eventually. Man those flamin' things are noisy when you lift them up! But anyway, cache in hand and signed off, no issues here with muggles, but not on the next cache...lol.
Wouldn't want to try that on Sunday morning. Nice and easy and undisturbed in the cold and dark. So cold in fact I struggled to open the clips on the cache.
**21,914**Mr Geckoh located this one quickly, whilst Mrs Geckoh was heading off in the wrong direction. He wont let her live that down!! TFTC
Very bold location on this one as there is way more cars than in the location at the top carpark.
We'll only one place it could be. Thankyou for squeezing an extra cache in.Thank you TheWonderStuff for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 5256
I finally had a Sunday where I didn't have a running event or a significant long run as part of my half marathon training plan. It was a deload week, so I only had a 5km to run and I decided to do that on Saturday at the Hobsonville Point parkrun. This freed me up to get out for a nice, long walk, geocaching along the way. I had seen these new caches along the Albany cycleway so I decided to target these. Started out early from Constellation Station taking the bus back from Albany, and wasn't expecting to see too many muggles along here. Had to wait out some passing muggles and someone parking their car nearby, but the mall wasn't too busy so not too many vehicles down this end. Quickly extracted the cache and returned it before anyone noticed.
I was walking back to my car after getting the LPC on the other side. Not so many cars in this end of the carpark today but of course there had to be one parked close to gz and with the driver sitting in it eating sushi. I contemplated leaving the cache for another day but then decided to bite the bullet and just grab it.
Ok ok it maybe not the most desirable but its definitely a reliable cache hide. Can always count on it being there Found the fancy temu container and replaced as is where is. Last one for today as its getting dark. Took TB. Streak day #364 done! Today is Streak Year Eve for me.
Out with gavinjodie getting a onesie from Farmers, and collected a few caches before heading home. TFTC
Out with miiniAG getting a onesie from Farmers, and collected a few caches before heading home. TFTC
It's a long weekend so I came down to Auckland from the Far North for a few days geocaching. Friday I cached in Albany picking up lots of new TWS caches. Saturday I headed down to Huntly collecting mostly AdLabs. Sunday I wanted an ftf so decided to finish of the Hauraki and Takapuna area in the morning and do the Silverdale/Orewa area in the afternoon. I spent a while here driving around to find which lamp post I should be at. I had to wait a bit for the muggles to move on before grabbing the cache. Dropped off a trackable here. Thanks for the hide
Really nice container! Found it easily, but it was harder to return it by myself TFTC
The gps bounced around a bit for this one. The trickiest part was crossing the busy road. Once we were in the right area, we walked straight to it. Tftc
Another day of picking up the elder future finder from his course in Rosedale. So, another opportunity to find some recently published hides in the general area. I was able to park up right next to ground zero and got to searching. Cache was found in the obvious spot with some caution/stealth exerted as a few muggles were about. Cheers for the cache placement!
In the mall today to do a little lunch and some shopping and noticed there were some newer caches about.I tried for this one just before heading to the mall, but there was a muggle with car troubles nearby. One lunch and a haircut later and the area was clear, making for a quick and easy grab. Tftc #1748
Caching once again in the company of Team Welsh on a fine Sunday morning. No surprises where this one was hidden, and we were happy to park right alongside it. TFTC
This was a good cache to do on a quiet Sunday morning, not too many people about and parked right next to this one and it is always hard to be stealthy with these but we managed it ok. TFTC
On the last log I wrote, I said it was my last find for the evening... Whoops. A nice easy find at GZ today, sat in the car for a while so as not to subject the nearby muggles to the unavoidable shrieking as I retrieved the cache, and was pleasantly surprised to find a cache container resembling something which I am all too familiar with, and for that, I award an FP. TFTC!
I saw this was published this morning and needed to be very close to here any way. Parked up with youngest who quickly grabbed us a {FTF}. Sadly forgot to bring treasure. Tftc
Here we are again in Saturated Cache City! AKA Albany .Nice that the Jarstrat Team got the FTF today!Easily sighted and signed..
M25: after attending the event at Victoria Park, me and Glyn headed over to Albany to find some new caches. This one was a bit of a pain to put back, as there was someone in their car who thankfully was too focused on her phone. Log all good and signed here. TFTC.
