Logs
M26: saw cache in sight, nice and easy, log all good here. TFTC. Temperature getting warmer by the minute.
Thanks! Stepped in some dog poop so watch your step when retrieving this cache! Found 9/9/24
I decided I better get organized and get a pile of caches to finish off this Cosmic Quest challenge we have going on at the moment. So it was a reasonable day weather-wise and so I came over with my e-bike to Albany via train and buses for a bit of a day out! I had in mind about 20 caches but managed 23, until it started getting quite cold and I needed to get home to warm up and have a nice wine with dinner. If I had gotten my act together earlier, I could have easily gotten 30 caches. Haven't had a full-on day like this for a while. No probs with this hide, pretty much found it in the first spot I checked, I like this hanging bolt thingy, I have a few myself courtesy of FMZ. Now it's time to start making my way towards Albany central, I realised I had left my ham n' cheese sandwiches at home so need to buy lunch somewhere. Thanks TWS.
**21,904**Took us a minute to get our bearing on where this little blighter was hanging around. He seems to have got a bit more camo'd but eventually we spied him and then we continued on along the walk way. TFTC
We were looking for a black bison but found a camo one and then GeohoundandI threw the lid from my "fancy" pen on the ground. Good job it wasn't the log she threw because it took her so long to find the lid.
Back to the nature! Nice , quick find at posted coords!TFTC TheWonderStuffI'm logging this hide as my 10667 find.Brief Saturday visit in Albany. Enjoyed my several trips by using public transport AT Metro : Bus 324 from Favona to Otahuhu Interchange ->> Easter Line train to Britomart ->> NX1 to Albany ->> NX1 to Britomart ->> Southern Line to Otahuhu ->> Bus 325 to Mangere East ....
There was a rather chilly southerly blowing so not too many people out walking today. The cache was a nice quick find and then I was pleased to be headed back to the warmth of my car as a few raindrops were starting to fall
Was out this morning and thought I might check out cache cityfound this one easily, but one might bring gloves next timedidnt bring a pen so a photo.
It didn't take me long to spot this Big Chunky one .Out on a caching mission with Net61.
It's a long weekend so I came down to Auckland from the Far North for a few days geocaching. Friday I cached in Albany picking up lots of new TWS caches. Saturday I headed down to Huntly collecting mostly AdLabs. Sunday I wanted an ftf so decided to finish of the Hauraki and Takapuna area in the morning and do the Silverdale/Orewa area in the afternoon. I had parked nearby and made my way to gz. Again I've been to this area to meet my son for lunch and bring his kids to the playground. Fortunately the cache here was far enough away to be out of sight to most people. I did the full round of the tree before spotting it. Thanks for another escaped cache
I am once again in the area, to pick up the elder future finder from his course in Rosedale. Running a little early I decided to look for a few of the recent publications around cache city. I parked up in the car park and made the short stroll, over the grass, to ground zero. Cache was at the ground zero I expected, but I had to search for a couple of mi uses before I got the right angle to spot it. Cheers for the cache placement!
Had seen this cache published before meeting up with KC for some local caching to home and once we had done those 8 we headed down to Albany as per the plan. Did not expect to be greeted with a blank log book after a few hours so as it turns out it was a joint FTF with Kiwicouple. Nice walk along here. TFTC
I was up early enough... could have easily gotten ftf even catching buses to get here! If it wasn't so flamin' so cold... decided to hang out at home with the heat pump on until I was ready to head to Wenderholm for the day instead to finish off unfinished business.
