Logs
I checked this one today, and it is unfortunately gone. It should be back up within a couple weeks once we have constructed another bunny-related cache.
The log has been replaced and the cache has been waterproofed with 2 plastic bags and a more watertight container. Hopefully it doesnt get soaked again!
Again logged this at the time with photo but it did not register. Found this one the 6th Oct. Cache was lying on the ground and given hint mentions hanging we hung it directly above where it had been sitting so sorry if this is not the correct spot. Cache was dry but log was extremely wet and soggy and not signable. see pic. I think I left some smiley's for the next person inside.
Didnt know there were white rabbits on bunny island! Unable to sign due to a soaked log. TFTC!!
A fairly easy white rabbit find in the bushes. Log paper was soaked so was unable to sign. TFTC !!
Quick maintenance check on all my caches after getting home from six weeks in Europe. Since no ones found this one in over a month, I thought that maybe something had happened to it, but no, its still there, in good condition, waiting to be found! Happy caching! Also, from Facebook posts and my own observations, it has come to my attention that the rabbits on the island have likely been entirely wiped out for some reason. I took a look around and sure enough, I found two long deceased rabbits and some potentially poisoned carrots there. I dont know if theyll be back, but theres a very real chance thisll become a memorial cache soon. My cache seems to be the only bunny that survived!
The Kings Birthday long weekend caching trip to Stanley is now in the third day. Today we found cache whilst heading east towards Launceston and home. Another early start for us today and we found this cache at 10:07. Thanks Langers_7 for placing Bunny Island for us to find today. This brings my find count to 4945.
Swampy and I decided to visit Stanley with the aim of adding Pine Nut (GC52EF) to my list of oldest caches found. After an excellent trip, visiting the Hydro Power Trail along the way, we continued heading North West caching as we went. We found many different type of hides, cache containers and conditions. We fixed what was needed and replaced as found. What they all had in common was getting 2 geeks outside for some exercise. This find, Bunny Island, brings my total to 1727 and was found at 10:08 on 9/6/2024.Thanks Langers_7 for playing the game and giving us another reason to visit this area. Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
Great day out exploring Burnie, didnt know they had so many hidden nice parks. 13 Finds, 1 DNF made a great afternoon out on a cold winter day.Easy on outer bit, great containerhave given a FP.More bunny shit on this island than people in Tassie! Thanks for the hide
Stopped to have a look for this cache on the way home today.Mrs Beetle and 5 year old granddaughter headed across and soon the cute container was found. Unfortunately the 5 year old wanted to take the container home and when she is with us we usually let her do swaps, which she really enjoys. So had to explain that you can't take the container, only what is in it!!Not sure what these rabbits are eating, the whole grass area is just covered with rabbit poo. I wonder how many meet their demise trying to cross the road to greener pastures! Thanks for the cache at a place we always check out when driving past.Adding a favourite point for the cute container.
We headed to Burnie this morning to look for this cache. As we drove past, there were many bunnies in the open but as we walked towards GZ, they had retreated and were out of sight. Reasonably accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of a most apt cache for the area. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Langers_2 for this cache - we are looking forward to more of your hides in the future.
Today we further explored our back yard finding caches along the way, and this was one of them.We concentrated on finding the caches that have been published since our last visit. Wow what a great area for these rabbits to play, right out in the open. We like your cache hide, very appropriate! We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty. Many thanks to the CO for your cache placement.
Woohoo! Being a South Sydney Rabbitohs supporter it a good one find. Thanks Langers_7
