Thought surely its not down there, then checked the terrain rating and off I climbed. Enjoyed getting this one.
On my way to attend an event in Ballarat I paused to make the search. The cache was found in good condition.
A Sunday morning drive around this area to find a few caches. It was a sunny morning with some broken cloud and a strong Westerly blowing. The countryside looked great in early Spring. Thanks to steveanco for this exploration of the river and bridge. All good here today.
13:41After a weather imposed break from caching, we enjoyed a rock solid day of caching among the creeks, reserves, and interesting country-side of the Golden Plains.Thank you to the CO who placed this cache.37393
Met up with my caching buddy moonbi late morning and armed with everything from gumboots and lunch headed off with a list of 16 caches. Happy to report all these were found plus several others along the way. A successful and fun day Some care with the approach soon had this foundThanks steveanco for this rocky series
Checked on this one today all is well also changed the terrain rating as it is a bit of a tricky one under the bridge to get into with some past logs.
Definitely not terrain 1.5, unless your a Billy goat. The new terrain rating gave us ample warning this might be beyond us, but LumpyR forgets he's not 20 any more. Down he went, LumpyJ with heart in mouth, and had the cache logged soon enough. He then safely extracted himself. Tftc and the adventure.
Like in previous logs, this is more than a 1.5 terrain, however, after quiet a few grunts and groans, effort noises and a scraped ankle, the log was soon found and signed. The sound of the trickling creek made it worth it though. Tftc
Thankfully, Mr Riddell was right onto this one.A quick find to him.A lovely spot here. Currently there is just the right amount of water flowing and it looks fabulous. We cant believe that some people are so silly to put their lives on the line in flood times still in this day and age with all the social media and communication.TFTC
I swear there used to be another cache under the bridge here which I had previously found but must have been archived. Definitely a higher terrain rating than what was suggested, however made the find and log signed. TFTC!
Heading to Ballarat for the weekend we decided to pick up the newest edition to the series along the way. This is certainly not a 1.5 terrain ..one half of the team could not make it under the bridge. Thanks steveanco for the placement.
What a beautiful place to have a geocache. Sat by the river for a moment, soaking in the calmness and serenity
Found on an afternoon out caching . We have definitely found a cache here before! TFTC
Donutholes and I had planned to visit Lethbridge and Stieglitz after dinner, but our plans took an exciting turn when new geocaches were published in the area. We thought they'd be found by others before we could get there, but surprisingly, we were able to find them and sign the logs with a [FTF].Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the traditional cache Steveanco #8,029
AusFox; and I hadn't been out for a cache in a while, so we decided to hit up some new caches in the area. A handful of FTFs were up for grabs in the Golden Plains Shire too, so that's a win We better go for those!I'm sure I have found a cache in this area before ... or maybe the cool air is making me not think straight.Happy to find a blank log where we signed as a joint [FTF] Thanks for hide
