Cache is back online! Go find it!Ive replaced it with s new logbook and small pencil inside a small bag inside the cache. Hopefully it withholds storms and winds.
Wasted my time coming here today, as the cache should have been disabled if the container is not in place.
Thanks Bruce for recovering the pueces. Just went by it and found it over the retaining wall. Will take it home and get a new logsheet and hide it back in the coming daysBy the way, dont know how to het notified of these things. Thid was by chance that I went by and couldnt see it anywhere. Then I found it and went back to check the app and saw Bruces comment
Not really a DNF as I did find what I am sure would be the container, albeit in two parts.I had an idea about how this cache would be hidden and I was right about the container but not its location; it was sitting on top of the wall. While I was thinking about where I should return it to, I picked up the container to discover I only had the dark coloured part. I then found the light coloured part in the gutter a few metres away. With the wind being the way it was, I could only guess where the logsheet (and possibly a plastic bag) had ended up. I put the two parts back together and, rather than try to hide it some place where the cache owner may not easily find it, left them where I found the dark coloured part. I will need to come back for another attempt when normal service has been restored.
Decided to give this one another go after dropping the lad off at his Saturday job. Parked up, but had to wait out a dog walker. Took a few walks up and down to finally spot (4.5m out for me today, but the phone GPS wanders here). Yes it was what I thought it would be. Very nicely done! TFTC
(10056) The weather has fined up so I decided to grab some caches. A nice quick find today while checking out the wall. Thanks AgustinNZRubio for taking the time to place the cache and for bringing me here.
Found after a shortish search in the dark. Arrived here nice and early to avoid prying muggle eyes. Was surprised that I wasnt the first finder of the day! Thanks AgustinNZRubio
Found this today after a short search, it was along the wall a few metres to the left of where the GPSr was pointing me. Signed log, TFTC
I committed an accidental act of vandalism here.A couple of small pieces of the real thing fell off as I was searching. This is somewhat concerning as the wall appears to be part of someone's property- no problem if it's the CO's home.So not sure this is a good idea in view of the risk of further damage, though most of the wall does seem more secure.Found the real cache after looking for a while.
As the straight-line flying bird flies, this recently published geocache appeared as the closest green dot to where I spend most of my time. I needed to deal with that. Having missed out on the race to find it first due to prior commitments (like work and life and stuff) at 08:00 on a short work week Tuesday morning when this was published (who does that!), I was lucky enough to be out and about today for some Geocaching, and took the time to stop for a look. And some looking was definitely required. I've done a few of this type, and so I know that once you see what you need to see then you can see it, no problem. But until you see what you need to see, you just can't see it for looking. Eventually, I saw it.---Thanks to AgustinNZRubio for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.
Just 1 min too late! I was working from home and between meetings when I saw the notification and saw it was 12 mins away. Well Google didn't tell me about the rubbish truck that blocked me for about 5 min or the stop go man either Better timing on one of those and id be adding the three letters to my log. Great to catch up with huhugrub and boxill who were still chatting when I arrived. BTW great cache AugustinNZrubio, thank you for the fun.
{FTF} at 09:44 and first day find. A park, walk and grab on Jubilee Road in Khandallah, Wellington. The GZ was fortunately all quiet at the time of our visit. A bit of a search initially yielded no result. But in the end, searched a bit closer and slightly wider from where the GPS was pointing to, and spotted where it was hiding. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.boxhill and then Itchyfeet2020 arrived shortly afterwards and it was good to meet up with them for a quick catch up.*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*---### LET US HAVE A BLOCK PARTY!!! ###On **May 3rd, 2025**, we will be celebrating 25 years of geocaching in **Rotorua, New Zealand** with a special **Block Party** event.
