Came down to Hervey Bay to do the two Adventure labs I have not completed. All this for a souvenir. Parked where the GPSr suggested and then went for a walk following the compass needle. Got o 3 meters and the needle started to point to my left. Went past and turned around and saw the container not far away. Good Hide. blends in well. TFTC MadNX
Down in the Bay with geohubby, youngoldfella, doing Adventure labs and came this way on the way home to grab it. Small logs signed CCC otherwise use coralcoascacher. TFTC
GPS had us on the wrong side of the track before we widened search and found it. TFTC
After shelling with the family a bit down the beach, I decided to swing by and grab this newer cache. Took me about 5 minutes of getting the GPS signal to settle. I then decided to check an area I hadn't before and uncovered the great little container. Thanks for the cache MadNX, great one for your first!Today is day five of our Hervey Bay holiday. Today I travelled north-west and spot cached around Howard and Torbanlea, before visiting Toogoom and Dundowran for both shelling and caching. Not as many caches today, but a fun one for our last day in the area.Heading north on a 5-day trip to Hervey Bay with the family has allowed me to go out and cache the surrounding area. I was able to cram the tredley into the back of the warthog and travel north, stopping a few times. Once to maintain a cache, and another to find a cache. I finally set sights on my destination, Torquay. Over the course of the few days I had, I cycled the new rail trail series of geocaches, did a combined day of shelling and caching Point Vernon, took a drive through Booral and River Heads, travelled to Howard, Torbanlea, Toogoom and Dundowran. On the final day I spot cached as I made my way south, stopping in Walligan, Susan River, Beaver Rock and Owanyilla. I then fought the southbound traffic for a while, then detoured via Yengarie and through Tiaro back to the sunny coast. All things considered, a great holiday and a productive one for geocaching! a MASSIVE thank you to all the COs that I found the caches of along the way!
Out for the day caching with ToucanKB and Danielle46, signing as KTD. Pleasant walking track to the cache, with park seating throughout. Liked the construction of the cache. Nice to meet fellow geocachers while we were approaching the cache. Tftc

We parked near the beach access and walked along to GZ where the nice container was spotted with the good coords. Thanks MadNX for the cache and a favourite for the container.
While camping in the area for a few days with my geodog Scruffy , We had to get out and look for a few caches ...All Good .. TFTC ..
Took longer than it should have to find it, as GPS was jumping around everywhere. Widened the search then spotted it. Thanks.
Hi there MadNX, we found your cache Dundowran Beach today. Ms Sammi & I are taking the opportunity to bag some caches while Penny is occupied elsewhere. Thanks for a great walkCoordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking. Cache Condition: The hanging device is broken, but it is still sitting comfortably in its zip tie. Regards Ian & Penny (Found and logged using Cachly).
I saw this new one pop up yesterday and I was somewhat anxious over the word snake. Anyway this afternoon I put my big girl pants on and took a drive to meet some snakes! I was expecting that all the snake talk could be a joke but it definitely looks like an area that could be inhabited by a snake or two! Luckily my eyes were working and I spotted the cache in less then five minutes. At that point I realised I was wearing my Birkenstocks and not my hiking shoes so I found a large stick and thumped the ground numerous times while informing the snakes that I was venturing in!!Log was signed and I safely made it out without seeing or stepping on any Thanks for the cache and interesting container I have never seen one of these in the wild
