I had a little time today between jobs and as I was passing close by, finally stopped to find this solved puzzle. I am quite familiar with the source material, and soon had some GZ coordinates. I was glad I was wearing long pants and work boots to wade through the very long grass, but no wriggly wildlife was spotted. A very generous and sturdy container was located and a smile was had at the contents. All in excellent dry condition. TFTC Zeus, Hera & Kids A favourite from me
Found 10 Nov 2024 at 2:38:17pmOne of my favourite Christmas songs , I had this solved soon after publication and was in the area today so took a stroll and put my name into the log. Many thanks to Zeus, Hera & kids for placing TDOC24: How to Make Gravy for us all to find. TFTC----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
Out and about today on cupday enjoying the weather, the quietness and the cache hunting and to get some lunch. When this was published I sat down and worked out GZ so next time I was in the area I could have a look for it.Arrived at GZ to find the impressively large and very nicely decorated cache. Although a couple of the thistles have grown back so you may need to go back and do some weeding. Thanks Zeus, Hera & kids for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun. A favourite from me.
Found it! On our way to visit Muggle Wens Mum for pizza and wine we stopped here to find the cache. I had solved the puzzle the other evening in readiness for the find. I seem to remember looking at the puzzle when it was first released but put it aside as I was having difficulty making headway. Anyway it seemed very straightforward when I looked again a couple of nights ago. TFTC SL to be honest Im not very familiar with the song. May have to add it to the play list. Todays play list included a song about wading through waist high grass and dashing brown snakes! Fortunately snakes were absent today but there are many weeds about to engulf the area!
I have to work night shift tonight, which meant I got to have a proper sleep in and once I woke up I had the entire day to spend out caching. Of course, today was some of the worst weather we have had in awhile. With it being cold and pouring rain all day, lets just say my day wasn't spent out finding that many caches. However, rainy days are perfect for solving puzzles and I did have to find a mystery cache today in order to fill in a missing calendar date for [ahomburg's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=1ded3729-fe62-40bb-9f5f-fd559e7163b1&wid=2ea93f43-d6fb-4f7e-938a-bacef589ab2c&ds=2) challenge cache, [WCW - Almost a Complete Mystery Challenge (GC9Z59N)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Z59N). So I opened up the app and started looking for mystery caches near home when I spotted this one.The snuggle muggle and I were overseas in the USA during the Cachemas season and so I missed out on all of the Cachemas festivities. However, since being able to sleep in late today felt a little like Christmas I decided this one had to be the target for the day.So I got to work on solving the puzzle. As a non-native Australian I was never privy to the joy of Paul Kelly's famous song. However, it was quite an interesting tune and I listened to it on repeat while I was solving this one. So after a few playthroughs the puzzle was solved and now all I had to do was get out and find it.So I hopped in the geomobile and made my way over. Lucky for me I was able to find a spot to park right near GZ. It was then a short walk and a even shorter search before the behemoth of a cache was spotted. I loved the internal decorations and it was so much fun to be able to experience a bit of Christmas a few months early. So a huge thanks goes to [Zeus, Hera & kids](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=fbf221a6-0bb7-498f-954c-78ad00da68b8&wid=e1a2a360-b3c5-403f-8524-0c6981a65cff&ds=2) for the fun festivities. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**Both the outer and inner cache containers were in good shape. All of the inner contents were nice and dry. The logbook was also clean with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.
Great song and nice puzzle, cache easy to find because of its size. We need a few more like this to meet a challenge cache we are working on.
It is the classic "I loved this song before it got popular," but it was the ONLY song on a mixed-track Christmas CD that my dad played every Christmas that I liked. I was pleased to see it rise in popularity over the years and would have never imagined it to climb so high up. So completing the puzzle was fun and what an amazing surprise to see such a large container at GZ, with a tb to boot, which I collected. I suspect I will enjoy the rest of this series - well done, and a fav point. tftc
I solved most of this one on the day of release. I was supposed to have attended the nearby CITO but sleep got the better of me, unfortunately. I worked out the remaining question and sat on it for the perfect day. Today was that day. Wow, the size of it justified the work required to solve it! This has got to be my largest find. Well done ZH&K you've outdone yourself. Merry Cachemas and thanks for the gravy. TB dropped
Nice Puzzle! Pleased to find a large container while aiming to fill in my calendar for a challenge. Zeus, Hera & kids, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area. ??
I started solving this one as soon as it was published but never managed to finish it. Fast forward to Monday evening, and together with pwala, GJMMelb & Geoturtle37, we began solving from scratch. A bit of confusion as the questions had changed, but we got there in the end. Today was time to convert to a smiley. What a lovely large cache!! Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Zeus, Hera & kids ??~????????~
This fun puzzle was solved along with OHC, J of GJM Melb and pwala at one of our get togethers. It took us a little while to realise that some things had changed and once we discovered that, all was quickly finished. The find was made nice and quickly. So happy to have a large cache as they are getting harder to come across. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
It was great to find such a large large here. Very pleased that it was closer to the top of this reserve than the bottom. Thank you for placing this cache for all to find.
Happy to see another cachemas cache come up not to far from home. Solved the puzzle quickly, do like that song and enjoyed the puzzle. Parked the car in great nearby spot and set off for a short walk to gz. An easy find and great large container, liked the Christmas theme within. TFTC Zeus, Hera and kids. S favourite from me.
Out and about with omegaman, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. My local chip shop has awesome chips and Gravy. Nice to see a decent size cache. Thanks Zeus, Hera & kids for the cache.
Ok I just watched the video and bawled my eyes out!! lol As frustratingly necessary and hard that lockdowns were, some really great creative material came out of it and this is one of them!! We solved this puzzle during our Girls Puzzle meet up last night after a bit of confusion as OHC had a previous print out lol and so today we headed off on our TDOC24 day finding a few TDOCs and other caches nearby. Cache was a nice easy find and I souvenired a pretty purple sparkly which I have hung in the lounge-room!! Great to see such a large conttainer. We made sure all the cliops were closed when we left as half were open when we found it! TFTC Zeus, Hera and the Kids - Merry Cachemas - GJMMelb

This was released after the CITO, and a group of us had a go at the find as a team, some took the logical approach, others took another not so logical approach. Luckily the ones taking the logical approach solved it and we all headed off for the find. Thanks for a nice big appropriately themed cache containerFind number 8950 on 21 July 2024. [FTF]Thanks For The Cache ??
I had attended the CITO this morning at Glenfern Valley Bushlands Reserve and we had just finished combing the area with McLookers when the new Puzzle cache came on line. We started to work our way through the clues, when we thought that we heard that someone had something and we walked down a little to find Roaming Howie, Pinkpiggy7 and Knight_shift also working on the cache. We then pooled resources and soon made the checker happy. The cache was a long way from where we were and there was quite a hill climb between us and it so we started the march double time to collect the find. Once there, the huge cache was soon in hand and we logged a joint {FTF}, which was our 117th all up and 2nd overall FTF in this park. It was our 14th Geocaching find in the Glenfern Valley Bushlands Reserve, with the previous finds being in 2005, 2010, 2011 x 2, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021 x 5 and 2024 x 2. We have also once again attained a full count on finds on all hides by Zeus, Hera and Kids. Thanks from D B-A
**21/07/2024, 11:24:00****Find #5859****Mystery Find #1160**Others in our group had done the heavy lifting on this mystery so its only fitting that they share the FTF. It was nice to be able to add another mystery cache to my total, now to work out how the co-ords were determined.**Thank-you to Zeus, Hera & kids for placing this geocache**
Joint {FTF}I was in the area with a range of other cachers for the nearby CITO. At the conclusion of the event a new TDOC mystery was published. Imagine my surprise!Given my involvement in the TDOC series I have happily sat on the sidelines watching FTF after FTF pass by. Today was a little different! Given there were a group of cachers already in the area any advantage of knowing the caches posted coords and publish time evaporated, particularly with the CO being the host of the CITO that gathered us.Having not been privy to the puzzle or the final location I teamed up initially with Knight_shift and PinkPiggy7 to work our way through the questions. Part way through we bumped into Rabitto and McLookers on the trail and together we all collaborated until we had a tick on the checker. We then realised we were not near the cache and so the journey back up the hill and to GZ began. Eventually the team all arrived and we added our names to the new logbook. At the same time the CO arrived to celebrate the find.A big thanks goes to Zeus, Hera & kids for taking the time to add TDOC24: How to Make Gravy to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
Found while at CITO. Initially I had trouble getting the new cache to appear on my phone.. ( note to self - time for a new phone.) after a few reloads the cache appeared .. whew, made our way down to GZ not too far away and I was surprised at the awesomeness of the chrismassy themed cache.. so pretty! A well deserved favourite point given. Thanks Zeus, Hera & kids. I love Paul Kellys ode to Christmas.
How lucky we we? A new cache published just as we finished the CITO. An excellent brains trust of Rabbitto, Knight shift, PP7 and RoamingHowie worked like a dream team and came up with some very plausible co-ords. Off to GZ where we found a fabulous size, well themed cache for a joint {FTF}. Thanks ZH&K for an excellent puzzle with a very fitting theme. A favourite from me.
