Logs
Avoided the dog walkers and made a quick find here. Luckily no games were on so it was nearly deserted apart from the dog walkers. Tftc.
This game has obviously been disused for quite some time. All quiet today, I didnt realise Takapuna rugby used to be here, its been a football club since Ive been in New Zealand. TFTC
Out walking around Takapuna so detoured to grab the caches in this park. Nicely hidden here. [TFTC]
I was initially intending to grab the other cache nearby today, but since the facilities were in use, I thought this might be the stealthier option, and I'll come back at a less social hour for the other one. So down to this one I wandered, and made for a quick find at GZ - the log jumped out to meet me as soon as I so much as touched the cache! Signed it and put it back a little more securely, so hopefully it stays put for the next person. TFTC!
After completing the 2 new Takapuna adventure labs we had some time to fill in before attending a geocaching event in Devonport. We didnt want to get to Devonport too early as the local marathon was on this morning, so we found a few local caches. A quick find here of a familiar type of G2 cache. TFTC
I seem to be following Jag50 around this afternoon, each log has her name on it just before mine same here too. This cache all good here today.
While m26 was finding the one up above in the top left section of the park, m15 went and found this one, which was nice and easy. Log all good and signed here. TFTC.
Ooooohhh my favourite type of cache. At least the geohound couldn't reach this one and start to chew it.
**22,123**The cache took a minute or two to locate but once you see it, you cant unsee it. Thankfully found in between walkers passing by. TFTC
Time for another cache hunt on the Shore to turn all the new caches into Smilies. A lovely sunny day to be out in the company of Tufty and Team Welsh. Pleased to get an easy carpark here, then we walked over to find this one. Been a while since that gate was closed! Tufty made the find here. TFTC
Today I had finally made plans to head out to Devonport to go caching with TheWonderStuff. We met up at the carpark here to carpool and before we left we wandered around the park finding these three caches. This one took us a little longer as we took the find too literally and were focused on searching in specific areas. I finally noticed the cache once at a lower angle.
Parked up on the road near the pathway and headed down to find this one, no idea where that gate goes and why it is even there...Tufty located this one and we wandered on over to the tennis club. TFTC
I was out with TW and KC on a cahe-finding expedition and we had a wee walk to this one.Cheers for the cache, G-2.
Our last for the day. Grateful for this new series of six caches all within easy distance from each other and in a scenic area. Thanks G-2
Amazing amount of activity going on here on a Sunday morning. Spot the weirdo turned away from the game looking in the bushes. Awkward! Tftc
Out Caching with Net61 this afternoon!I'm so lucky that Glyn has put out about 15 new caches since I was last on the North Shore! We didn't read the details at first....so couldn't see a cache....then we realised what type it was; and Jan soon reached up and grabbed it!.Thanks !
I noted some freshly published caches around Taharoto Park shortly after 5pm this evening. I decided to head out the door and have a look. This was my first stop. I parked up on Pupuke Drive and made the short walk over to ground zero. It was starting to get dark as I arrived at ground zero. This made the cache a bit tricker to spot than usual. But, it didn't take too long before I had the goods in hand. The blank log sheet confirmed that I was indeed first to find (FTF). Cheers for the cache placement!
