Very cool hide here, another great g2 hiding in plain sight. Took tb. Fp for the camo. Tftc!
Great story for this little container, did it get taken by the flood last year, ended up at sea and got rescued on the beach near Christchurch before making its way to a new location? Great container large enough for trackable ( there are 2 in it at the moment) TFTC fav point for the story and the container.
What an interesting story to read about this cache! A visit to Auckland for the long weekend. Staying on the shore, finding a few caches before we head to the city for dinner. Mrs p found this cache instantly. Great camo.Thank you G-2 for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 5323
Another nice G2 cache but no problem for me to find despite the fact it blends in nicely with
Nice camo, blends in well. Again happy that it's a quiet morning. The walk continues around Takapuna. TFTC
After completing the 2 new Takapuna adventure labs we had some time to fill in before attending a geocaching event in Devonport. We didnt want to get to Devonport too early as the local marathon was on this morning, so we found a few local caches. A quick find here of a very well camouflaged cache. Nice history on this cache too which we may have found previously. TFTC
So this is the mysterious case of the travelling decon! Amazing how it ended up where it did but cool that it was returned by some good people. I was careful here, that bark looks fragile, hope it lasts, thanks G, great story alright.
Needed a cache after work tonight, and this was the perfect option. Spent a little time looking at all the obvious spots, before returning to where the GPS said it should be, only to find a very well camoed cache, which earns an FP from me. TFTC!
Dot day today. After meeting a family relative at the nearby hospital, we went out to this park to find the three caches, starting with this one.M26 saw something that looked out of place, and surely enough, it was the cache. Nice and easy find, log all good and signed here. TFTC.
If there is one thing better than caching in the dark, it's caching in the dark with the geohound. Add to the mix his flashing multicoloured going out in the dark collar and, well what a party we had. After walking around the park we came to find this cache. Quickly spotted it's bit of camo and got the log signed before Daddypig noticed his geohound was chewing another lump of bark.
**22,124**Another one of Piggies super clever camo jobs that inspire us to try harder with our own cache offerings. Thanks Piggy and thanks i-gotit for keeping this cache going. TFTC
Time for another cache hunt on the Shore to turn all the new caches into Smilies. A lovely sunny day to be out in the company of Tufty and Team Welsh. We drove around to park at this side of the grounds, and Mrs TW already had the nicely camoed container in hand by the time we got to GZ. Nicely hidden here, thanks.
Drove around to this one and wandered along the path to GZ. Loved the camo on this one. Thanks
Great story, great camo, great cache. Blends in so well. Im always a bit worried by head height caches but it was even reachable by shorty me. A favourite point for the amazing recovery of the original cache plus that fab construction. Thanks G-2
I treat myself to sushi on a Friday from the lovely sushi place just down the road. This gives me a reason to leave the office and get some exercise. On the return trip, I found a seat at the park to enjoy my lunch before coming and finding this cache. A nice quick find as all was quiet around GZ.
Thanks for the great story.A well travel cache.Hopefully it will stay here.Fav point.
What an amazing past to this container! So interesting to read all the history...talk about a Travelling Cache...Better than a message in a bottle...Wonderful History....would love to know how it got to Christchurch.Just checked, and I found both Lovers Embrace , and Piggies Embrace, back in 2016.I love Eaves Bush. This is a great new place...Love the new camo .Plus I remember coming here to a concert by North Shore Brass, who are an A Grade Brass Band....saw them recently at the Brass Band Nationals....Favourite Point .
I need to come and find this since I was the one who sent it back to you! It's a great story!
I noted some freshly published caches around Taharoto Park shortly after 5pm this evening. I decided to head out the door and have a look. After finding the "Karaka" hide, across and down the road, I headed back to the park. I parked up in the main parking area and made the short walk on over to ground zero. This was my second visit, as I didn't want to search hear earlier, with torch light, while kids played on the nearby swing. Well, they were gone on my return. Tried a few spots and soon came up trumps. Nicely hidden. That makes four for four I terms of first to finds (FTF) this evening. Funny, that the cache attributes say no dogs, as a dog walker walked pass me as I was signing the log. Now to face the building traffic caused by the Takapuna Light Show on my way home. Cheers for the cache placement!
