Powerless here today. Flat. No charge...Know what we're looking for. Didn't really help. May return one day...
Second time lucky for me this time. I pondered on the hint and walked in circles, trying to make sense of it.Thinking, the GPS was bouncing due to the tree canopies and power lines, I went back to where GZ and stood looking around with more investigative eyes. Then I got a zap! Felt like a never-ending bouncing bunny, bopping up and down glad to have found this one.TFTC
Found after circling for a few minutes, not at all the container I was expecting, very interesting choice.Lovely park.
Cache spotted in the last place I looked. Interesting container.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is the twenty third day of Augustus Caesar's Month in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a lot cooler today. Still no wind today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Time for another Tuesday Trekking for two the Confused Puzzlers. The plan was for ttrogg to pick up the Rat from her nest.We did a couple in Gawler, then headed to Mawson Lakes. This was found on the return trip to Gawler.A quick easy find. Tftc
After spending a while looking for Hanging Around came for a look for this one and was rewarded with a quick find so had enough time, and light, to go looking for the third of three newish trads. Thanks to Captain_Caching for adding to the playing field with this cache.Smilie #15179.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*
Im in the area, Ive read a few logs of the newer caches and I see that there is concern that some of these hides might not survive too long. Better find them quick! This cache was still well hidden by the camo placed by the previous finder, but its a bit precarious. Survival here will depend on how well each finder resides it, so with that in mind, Ive done my best. Thanks for the hide Captain_Caching and good luck with this cache.
Today I headed north for a morning of caching to find some of the newer published caches around salisbury and gawler. Cool container but silly hint on this oneTFTC
Another one of those where the pointless hint describes the container, but not tge hide!A quick nonetheless...TNLNSL.Thanks
First honours to DNF. Pretty sure its not there as I checked in with CO. Grooooan. I will be back. I thought initially it was the cables in the tree.
As there was a DNF went to have a quick look and cache is definitely still in position.
Took a long and circuitous route through the northern suburbs to clear some caches off my map. Only achieved about a 60% strike rate and probably spent way too long looking for those that I didn't find. But at least it didn't rain. Unlike last night's Olympics opening ceremony . TFTC to all COs.
I'd left home on an unsuccessful errand that was really a wild goose chase! This ended up being rather fortunate[:X], though, as while I was out and about a new geocache was publishedI was only about 6km from it and hence Rex and I drove to GZIt seemed like just as I made the find, another new geocache was published and it was less than 1km from where we were!Off we drove to that cache and this one took a few minutes longer to find as it was in an area where quite a few trees were growingAs I was replacing this cache[^], yet another new geocache was published and it was only a few kms from where we were We headed off again however this cache took a lot longer to find, probably because I was getting tired[|)] and both my torches and my phone, too, were on their last legs of battery chargeSo all in all, we found 3 geocaches tonight. All were FTFsOn our way home Rex and I grabbed drinks and donuts from Krispy Kreme, in celebration mode, to bring home to share with my son[^]Thanks for the fun adventures[:X]A fair bit of looking and searching occured here. There was even a decoy[?] that I took a pic of and sent to the CO because I could not work out where the log could be! Sadly, my phone doesn't seem to ping with incoming GC messages so I didn't see the CO's reply until hours later, at home on the computerUpon finding the cache, I opened the container and the pin inside, for rolling up the log, immediately fell outPlease be careful that the pin stays in the cache until the CO can stick it to the log. Clever hide[^]Woohoo! *FTF* TNLN. SL. TFTC Captain_Caching
