Sadly we did not find it but will come back again! Reading all the activity gives me an idea on where it may be.
It took quite a while to spot and retrieve this cache, an operation which we found somewhat nerve racking TFTC
I hadn't planned on being up in the Manawatu this weekend, but a casual invite from my kiwi family was all it took to have me jumping into the car yesterday. This morning they had plans of their own, so I headed up to Feilding to spend an hour or so just caching. This particular series of Trads was published whilst I was overseas, so it was good to have a look for them today. This first one was a straightforward find at GZ. Knowing what happens to these containers after a shortish period of exposure to the elements, I figured that the logsheet could really use a baggie. Luckily I had my cache kit on me so I was happy to provide one.I also dropped a TB into the cache in order to move it along, before leaving everything as found.Thank you for creating this one.
Having spent the morning with family in Wanganui, it was time to start heading back home to Wellington. But as usual, especially during the warmer months, I took the long way in order to gather up some as yet unfound geocaches. This was one that I found today.Apparently I did these in the reverse backwards wrong order, but no matter, I thought of it more of a countdown. No trouble finding this one, and no problems with the retrieval or replacement process either.---Thanks to P n E for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
#15,550. Park, walk and grab on West Street at Ranfurly Road in Feilding. The GZ was fortunately all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*---### LET US HAVE A BLOCK PARTY!!! ###On **May 3rd, 2025**, we will be celebrating 25 years of geocaching in **Rotorua, New Zealand** with a special **Block Party** event. With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Manawatu, here we are!**Under the Bridge (Outro) - Red Hot Chili Peppers**(Under the bridge downtown)Is where I drew some blood(Under the bridge downtown)I could not get enough(Under the bridge downtown)Forgot about my love(Under the bridge downtown)I gave my life awaySpotted the cache on arrival, and it was precariously placed. After recent rain, the soil was slick and slippery - Not ideal conditions for my jandals. Thanks P n E. TFTC.
Squirrel Nutcase spotted this one.my only comment was don't fall in.log in good conditionTFTC
Macfam41 found it while Mrs Macfam was competing at the nearby dog obedience competition with geo dog Southridge Laird of Kinlochaline. After a quick look around the cache was easliy to hand. TFTC.
A small walk to here and we were onto finding these caches from a new CO in the area, welcome to cache ownership P n E. Plenty of water under the bridge, quite wet as I stepped down, all good here though.tommygun9 and I were keen for a (almost monthly) caching catch up, and a ladder exped was mentioned, I was keen! After a day at work we met up in Feilding town with 4 potential ladder cache climbs on the list. Alas, no caches were found with a 4 mentioned ladder, but one had to foot boost elevated tg9 to new heights on one find. Thanks to the COs for their hides.
The creek was reappearing with gusto here but the cache was found safe and sound.T F T C P n E.Capperz and I discussed a few caches in Feilding and formed a plan for this afternoon. Thankfully the weather was in on the plan because it rained heavily this morning and during one drive between caches. We found four of the five caches we tried and took my ladder for a walk. I also found one more on my drive out of Fielding afterwards.
Thanks P&E!!Again, needed a bit of help finding it but he helped me find it - now I know that it can be hidden ANYWHERE!!
Popped into town to do a bit of Waymarking but I also need at least two geocaches to progress my calendar of finds to 6 per day. This one and the next will satisfy that requirement. I was here at the placement and know how pleased the CO was to place their first cache. So I m going to give a FP for that. TFTC
Got dropped off at dads work to make the most of the light we still had and could hit out some caches we havent yet got to! This was a quick park and grab. I wrote in the log and placed the cache carefully back as found. TFTC. Thanks P n E for placing this Traditional cache! P n E , ! 5 August 2024 at 5:40PM#948th Find
Today is my rostered Friday to provide tech support to the Feilding office. And you know what that means... lunchtime caching! A Tui serenaded me while I was searching, which kept me in a jovial frame of mind as I slowly started loosing said mind.I spent ~20min searching on, over, around (but not in) but couldn't find the blighter... It was only after reading previous finder's logs that a particular word stood out and and I had another thought of where to look. Actually, *how* to look, as i had already searched here twice before.Finding it eventually was more luck than skill, and I wondered if it had fallen from somewhere rather than where I located it, but couldn't see or feel any such location to return it to.Congratulations on your first cache placements!
A somewhat dismal day for us was certainly brightened when we received an invitation from searchSteve to join him on a FTF hunt in Feilding - he even picked us up a little way along the route which was much appreciated. We had a successful trip in good company, getting not just the FTF but a few other caches as well - thanks very much Steve. We came on to here from Kitchener Park and all three caches along the disappearing creek fortunately appeared for us. This one did involve a little bit of scramble and we were glad to have Steve do that for us all. Nevertheless it was soon signed and returned and off we went to the next. Congratulations on your first set of hides P n E - we look froward to more! TFTC P n E
Found with geodatum after our FTF mission in Kitchener Park.Spotted it after almost falling in TNLNSL
We were in Palmerston North when this cache was published and did not know that the cache was there. [FTF] During the afternoon. My dad checked and saw No.2 cache had just been published and No.1 was not found. So dad called for me and minecraftlad "Who wants to do some joint FTFs." So we raced out the driveway and found No2 and then drove to No1. A quick find for me here, signed with Minecraftlad and dadandkidnz. At 3:13pm. After placing the log back in the container we drove down the road to see the COs and personally thank them and congratulated them on their 3 hides. Thank you P n E for the cache.
