I hadn't planned on being up in the Manawatu this weekend, but a casual invite from my kiwi family was all it took to have me jumping into the car yesterday. This morning they had plans of their own, so I headed up to Feilding to spend an hour or so just caching. This particular series of Trads was published whilst I was overseas, so it was good to have a look for them today. This third one was a different type of container from the first 2 of the series I'd encountered. It was still a straightforward find at GZ though. Again, this one had a baggie, but it was not an appropriate size for the container, and I could see that this cache suffers from water ingress which has previously affected the log because of the baggie.Luckily I had my cache kit on me so I was happy to provide a more suitable one, which fits inside the container without having to fold the join over which is what makes baggies fail.Thank you for creating this one.
Having spent the morning with family in Wanganui, it was time to start heading back home to Wellington. But as usual, especially during the warmer months, I took the long way in order to gather up some as yet unfound geocaches. This was one that I found today.Apparently I did these in the reverse backwards wrong order, but no matter, I thought of it more of a countdown. No trouble finding this one, although the log paper was mush so added some more (not waterproof though, so it may not last).---Thanks to P n E for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Manawatu, here we are!**Under the Bridge (Outro) - Red Hot Chili Peppers**(Under the bridge downtown)Is where I drew some blood(Under the bridge downtown)I could not get enough(Under the bridge downtown)Forgot about my love(Under the bridge downtown)I gave my life awayWater was definitely running somewhere, but out of sight at this location. A quick find - Thanks P n E, TFTC.
3 from 3 from P n E (it rhymes!) and a quick find as per hint.tommygun9 and I were keen for a (almost monthly) caching catch up, and a ladder exped was mentioned, I was keen! After a day at work we met up in Feilding town with 4 potential ladder cache climbs on the list. Alas, no caches were found with a 4 mentioned ladder, but one had to foot boost elevated tg9 to new heights on one find. Thanks to the COs for their hides.
While I investigated a possible cache Capperz already had the cache in hand.T F T C P n E.Capperz and I discussed a few caches in Feilding and formed a plan for this afternoon. Thankfully the weather was in on the plan because it rained heavily this morning and during one drive between caches. We found four of the five caches we tried and took my ladder for a walk. I also found one more on my drive out of Fielding afterwards.
Today I need another geocache to progress my calendar of daily finds to six. On my way in to town, this one will satisfy that need. TFTC
Awesome find! Thank you for a bit of fun with my partner and speical needs brother!
Got dropped off at dads work to make the most of the light we still had and could hit out some caches we havent yet got to! Easy park and grab here. Today is my rostered Friday to provide tech support to the Feilding office. And you know what that means... lunchtime caching! I found the decoy SPC at the sister host, then realised I wasn't close enough. Once at the correct host, it was a quick retrieve and sign. Thanks!
Thanks for this series P n E! Found with geodatum after our FTF mission in Kitchener Park.George found it with no risk at all of falling in - thanks George TNLNSL TFTC
A somewhat dismal day for us was certainly brightened when we received an invitation from searchSteve to join him on a FTF hunt in Feilding - he even picked us up a little way along the route which was much appreciated. We had a successful trip in good company, getting not just the FTF but a few other caches as well - thanks very much Steve. We came on to here from Kitchener Park and all three caches along the disappearing creek fortunately appeared for us.This one was a particularly quick find - Mr G hopped out of the car and went practically straight to it. TFTC P n E
As dad and I walk on Mondays I saw these pop up and wanted to leave them until after I reach my 9000 but couldn't help myself so on my way back I managed to snag 2 of the 3, thanks for the placement much enjoyed doing them in the dark so no need to be wary on who was around. This one was a very quick find and with no cars was also a very quick find
After finding No2 and No1 we went and visited to CO and personally congratulate them on there new caches. After a 30minute catchup we headed home and found another cache had been published, so on the way home we stopped and the cache was exactly as stated. Great Co-ords for all three caches. Joint [FTF] with Minecraftlad and DandKNZ at 1650
We were in Palmerston North when this cache was published and figured we would not get back to Feilding in time for a [FTF]. later in the afternoon dad checked his email and saw that no.2 was published and that no.1 had not been found. me, Cacheclaws and Dadandkidsnz went to find this joint FTF. with me in the front navigating we found 1,2, and 3 first. after we found 1 and 2 we went to the cache owners place and swapped puzzle answers. while we were there no.3 was published. cache in good condition. noticed you changed " disappearing" to "disappeared", nice touch.thank you P n E for this cachewell done on hiding your third cache
