Sorry for the late log. Another great even up in Palmerston North at cafe 116. Was great chatting to everyone and talking about caching adventures and such. TFTE

After a morning with @TheSeginoid we headed to the cafe for the event. It was nice to catch up with everyone but disappointed in the amount of crazy hats at least I brought my giraffe ears. Thanks for hosting the event Tom.

Not so critically important to me as this event gives me the last of the 100 points I need as my personal contribution to help fuel up the Alien's spacecraft. Thanks for hosting us today TS. Another well patronised event at The Pillars.

31-Aug-24
Obviously a lot of us found this event to be critically important - what a big turnout! Thanks Seagnoid for organising another enjoyable catch up today with geocaching friends.

Nice to attend another local event, as it was billed critically important attendance was a must we thought. Nice to catch up with a couple of South Island cachers, (karma reprint & Mrs KR). Nice coffee & cake again at the venue. Thanks for the event.

This day is obviously critically important because without it August would be a day short! So a good number of us turned up at our local to celebrate the day, and add some points to the aliens' cause in the Cosmic Quest. As usual there was good food, coffee and plenty of geo-chat. There were some interesting funny hats - it would have been good to see a few more. The event was especially special for us too as we were re-united with our geocaching kit tin which usually resides in the back of our car. However we had had it out back in May when doing maintenance on one of our caches and had inadvertently left it behind in a shelter shed nearby! We had not realised for some time and thought it would be long gone. However when we knew P n E would be going there we asked if they would check for us, just in case. And they found it, still in the shed after over three months! Remarkable. ?? Only a few things were missing, most was still in it! Thanks very much for the retrieval P n E ??Thank you the Seagnoid for organising the event. ??

Nice to met up with some people I had not spoken to before.

A critically important day as it's my sister's birthday. However, even tho it's 1700 hrs where she is and so time to put on party glad rags, it's a long way to Kenora, Ontario. This makes The Seagnoid's birthday a much better option, even if I only have my everyday sun hat. If I'd have remembered, I would have packed my yellow sou wester. There were times when it could have been useful on this roadie from Chch. Thank you, Etherlord Clan, for 4JQAV and LNM1961for the encouragement to find it!Well done, congratulations, and thanks to the Seagnoid

Nice to see such a large group of like minded souls today. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are heading South and home again. Today we cruised around Palmerston North. Mostly overcast but fine all day.Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.

I initially wasn't sure I wanted to attend a CIA event, but thankfully this acronym had nothing to do with our septic cousins across the Pacific Ocean, but instead was the usual socially hospitable gathering that is a typical Palmy meet-up.I've personally done enough to help these Aliens on their way, so the least they could have done is pay for my coffee, but the buggers never even showed up - well not unless they were in disguise. Oh well, the local company was good anyway as this was my first chance to see so many of my Manawatu friends after returning for my European sojourn.Lots of chat, lots of laughter, lots of getting in the way of the poor waitresses whilst they were trying to do their job. Just a normal caching event, which is another way of saying it was great. Thanks for putting this one one Smile

Still enjoying meeting new people and putting faces to names at these events. I love how open the geocaching community is to chatting and offering advice to new cachers like me - its really encouraging! Ra whanau ki a koe, the Seagnoid, thanks for organising this event. I ended up wrapping up Winter with a few caches by torchlight up to about midnight. Had to do something to work off an evening coffee I had ??????? Managed to finish just in time to see a spectacular lightening show

I made a boo-boo. I scheduled this event for exactly the same time as another in Wellington. I should have made this in the afternoon, so that people could go to both. Oops. What a huge turnout! I love Wellington and Palmy events. Everyone rocks up. Even had a few relative strangers, like KR and JeanJeanie. Thanks for coming along, guys!

31-Aug-24
Another great event by the Seagnoid which was well attended by the familiar crowd plus a sprinkling of newbies. Thanks for putting this event on the Seagnoid very enjoyable.

The EtherClan's calendar saw Taxi Dad in three places at once...EtherMiss had a dance competition, EtherNonBinary had a training course, and EtherLady is having some medical issues where she doesn't feel comfortable driving.I popped in just long enough to sign the logbook before leaving again to take ENB to their course, and then returned with EtherLady and EtherMiss - staying long enough this time to enjoy a coffee. No sooner had I sat down when I found a queue of people vying for my attention SurprisedI think I managed to help all bar one! CoolThanks for hosting this event, which I agreed was of critical importance!(And happy birthday, your Squelchness ??)

31-Aug-24
Attended this critical event this morning adorned in my newly purchased umbrella hat. Fortunately, I didn't need to test its waterproof capabilities, nor for that matter, its parasol quality. I missed the anthem, but happy birthday the Seagnoid. Thank you for sharing your special day with us.

05-Aug-24
Looking forward to being there, and I have the perfect silly hat that I have been saving for such an occasion as this

03-Aug-24
It was critically important that this event be noted in our diary, and silly hat sourced forthwith. However, recent events have reminded us that the plans of mice and men (and Geo silly hat wearers) are not within our control. Will do our best to attend, wear a hat, eat cake, and be silly with birthday people...if we can!

03-Aug-24
I'd love to attend to celebrate whatever including The Seagnoid's original division from the soup that nurtured him/it.
