Today we had a long round trip ahead of us, from Pialba over the old railway line to the pier and back along the coast to Pialba. On the way we found all but one of the caches we were looking for. Two were lying on the ground in the area and could be put back, but unfortunately one could not be retrieved because it was jammed. Overall the caches were in good condition, dry and there was enough space in the logbooks for entries. Thank you for the lovely and informative round!
We are in Urangan for a week to house and dog sit, and escape cold Melbourne. I headed out on a bike loaned from the wonderful jaktembo to complete the rail trail caches on a balmy afternoon. A quick find of this more spacious type of a familiar container. All in good dry condition. TFTC
Another quick and easy find here. Cheers for the series ms_sammii!Today is day two of our Hervey Bay trip, and today I am out on the deadly tredley caching the new series of caches that run from Urangan Pier to the business centre, then back again via the esplanade, picking up a few stray caches and AL waypoints. In the afternoon whilst collecting bait for fishing I was able to go and rectify a nearby DNF.Heading north on a 5-day trip to Hervey Bay with the family has allowed me to go out and cache the surrounding area. I was able to cram the tredley into the back of the warthog and travel north, stopping a few times. Once to maintain a cache, and another to find a cache. I finally set sights on my destination, Torquay. Over the course of the few days I had, I cycled the new rail trail series of geocaches, did a combined day of shelling and caching Point Vernon, took a drive through Booral and River Heads, travelled to Howard, Torbanlea, Toogoom and Dundowran. On the final day I spot cached as I made my way south, stopping in Walligan, Susan River, Beaver Rock and Owanyilla. I then fought the southbound traffic for a while, then detoured via Yengarie and through Tiaro back to the sunny coast. All things considered, a great holiday and a productive one for geocaching! a MASSIVE thank you to all the COs that I found the caches of along the way!
On our Australian trip . After travelled from Darwin to Perth over the GRR, now on the Eastcoast .Starting from Cairns first headed up to Port Douglas, then back south direction to Sydney .After enjoying Airlie Beach, Platybus Camp and Bush Camp Broken River we visited my mothers cousin . We also went for caching with them.Nice train route with the bikes .The coords were mostly accurate, despite the concrete ones. Also fairly hided.TFTC# 17'897

When to Harvey Bay to do some caches with KabbellaQld and Danielle46 signed as KTD we followed the M2BRT to the end it was a great walking trail Tftc
Spent an enjoyable day caching in Hervey Bay as a team and worked our way through this portion of the trail. We did it in reverse and enjoyed the countdown. The path is well designed and smooth enough to be very inclusive it was pleasurable walking past individuals and groups exercising on a myriad of devices including scooters, bicycles, foot, mobility devices and wheelchairs. Particularly enjoyed the last section of the trail where there are multiple murals and sculptures. Signed KTD (KabbellaQld, ToucanKB and Danielle46). Tftc
Today we finished the trail so far from this end. All caches were found, logs signed and replaced as found. Thanks ms_sammii for your time and work in putting this together.
While camping in the area for a few days with my geodog Scruffy , We had to get out and look for a few caches ...All Good .. TFTC ..

After dinner we had a look at the caches around Hervey Bay as we noticed a few new caches were published. It was raining, the weather was yuck so left it for a while and then decided to have a look at a few and this was one we found. It is great that there is this trail "The Mary to Bay Rail Trail (M2BRT)" starting from Hervey Bay to Maryborough which is now well on its way.We found different hides and caches along the way resulting in an *FTF* at 00:08.Many thanks ms_sammii for your cache placement and the effort gone into creating this series.
